Ava sat at the Head table chatting away to the staff around her, waiting for all the students to arrive. She was sure that they were just as excited about the food as she was, so it wasn't long before the Hall filled out. The Professor was happy about the green decoration hanging around the Hall, the winner of the House Cup quite obvious. Ava rose and the chatter in the Hall quietened out as she cleared her throat to speak.
"Welcome everyone the final feast of this year. Before we tuck in, I just have a few words to say. A very big congratulations to the winner of our House Cup this year - as you can all see, the winner is Slytherin!" She exclaimed, clapping along with the cheers from the winning house. "I know that Professor Styx is very proud of you all, and very happy to have the Cup in his office for year the year coming." She laughed. Moving on to the top House Point Earners, Ava was happily surprised that these Top Earners earned a lot more than the previous years. "Also a very big congratulations to our Top House Point Earners this year - For Gryffindor and the Top Point Earner, Tybalt Archer earned 888 points for his House! For Slytherin, congratulations to Paige Rivers who earned 686 for her House! For Ravenclaw, congratulations to Rosie Reilly for earning 680 for her House! And congratulations to Rhiannon McGowan for earning 667 points for Hufflepuff! Well done everyone!" Ava happily said, clapping along with the rest of the Hall.
"Congratulations to everyone for this year, you have made us all very proud. Have a fantastic holiday everyone! Be safe and empty out your brains in preparation to learn next year! And now we eat!" Ava laughed as the food appeared on the tables before sitting down, and helping herself to a large portion of food.

the end of year was approaching and Rhiannon was exited to go home. although she loved school and would be happy to stay she did miss her family, her mum. someone who she could share her problems and secrets with, a warm support, her brother who when he wasn't studying she had fun with, who would take her places. her dad who would come home from work, and always ask her how her day had gone and laugh when she said, good, just did wednesday stuff (if it was a wednessday). She knew she would miss her friends she had made over the year too, even Perseas and Theseas who had taken it upon themselves to tease her whenever they saw her. the holiday would be fun. she would be at home for a couple of weeks until her brother finished the term when they would all be off to scotland for a family holiday. one week in Edinburgh then she and Ewan would be off to mull to see aunt brige for a week. which was always enjoyable.
She was sitting at the Hufflepuff table in the great hall when the Professor Davershire the headmistress started to talk. she was a bit disappointed that Slytherin had won the house cup. she had hoped that with all the work she had done hufflepuff would but unfortunately that wasn't to be. she clapped polightly when it was announced. she listened for familiar names for the top point earners. the top top person a gryffindor boy she hadn't heard of had gotten 888 points. she wondered how on earth someone could get that many. she clapped when he was called. then a name she recognised. Page Rivers her friend earned 686 points. that was a lot too. she clapped and cheered for her. next came a ravenclaw girl she didn't know which just left hufflepuff. she knew she had worked hard. but she was sure there would be an older student, someone who had more classes and could thus get more points who would win. when the name that was called out she was astounded. literally gobsmacked. wow. how could she have been the top earner for the house. she didnt complain. going home with a trophy or something would certainly make her parents happy as even if they didn't know what charms or defence against the dark arts entailed they would be able to understand that being the top point earner of the house was a good thing. once the presentations were over she sucked into the feast helping herself to the lovely food the house elves below had made and spent her time talking to the people next to her about holiday plans. and thanking the people who congratulated her on being a top point earner.

Rosie was really hungry. There was no food on the table right now, but the anticipation alone was going to kill her. Particularly because Rosie could have sworn that she could already smell the butter aroma of the mashed potatoes from where she was seated now. Rosie was pretty sure that Bryce was having the time of his life watching Rosie right now. One could tell just by looking at her that she was really hungry. "I'm so hungry." Rosie signed to Bryce. A soft frown marring her face as she did so. If Bryce could only hear right now, he'd be shocked and horrified by the sounds her stomach was making. One might thinks he swallowed a dragon or something, that's how bad the growling had become. As soon as the headmistress gave her little speech, they would be able to eat so Rosie prayed that the woman would start talking soon. Rosie was about to ask Bryce what was taking so long when she heard the the familiar cheery sounding voice of the headmistress fill the great hall. She started off by informing everyone that Slytherin had won the house cup. Immediately Rosie frowned. Frankly she wasn't too happy to hear that Slytherin had won the cup once again.

Then the top point earners were being announced. Rosie vaguely tuned in as she continued to fight her hunger. Rosie heard Tybalt's name and remembered that he was a fellow classmate of hers. Rosie would have to remember to congratulate him later if she had the chance to see him. 888 was quite a bit of points. Then there was Slytherin, some girl Rosie had never heard of. Rosie heard her name called next, and she blinked. She had earned the most points for Ravenclaw? Rosie suddenly grinned. That was pretty cool considering the fact that she didn't think she would have ever earned that many points. There were still a few classes that she hadn't taken this year, so it was quite a shocker that she had managed to earn that many. Rosie felt proud. It was too bad that her house hadn't won the house cup this year though. Then Rosie could have felt like she had done more. Sadly from what she had heard, they didn't even come in second place. After that whole announcement was over, the feast began. Rosie's soft brown eyes filled with delight as she took in the sight before her. Rosie didn't hesitate to dig into the food. This year was a good one, hopefully the next year would be equally just as amazing.

As she sat in the great hall, Athena was pleased to see the large room decorated in her house's colors, though she knew she hadn't exactly helped her house to win. In fact, had she not been around, the amount of points that her house had won by likely would have been greater. Athena wished she cared more, but now that she had her badge back, she really didn't. The badge gleamed from her chest, the final time that she would wear it. In just a few short hours, she would be leaving Hogwarts for good. The idea filled the Slytherin with both glee and trepidation.

Taking a spoonful of her dessert, Athena was glad that the Headmistress hadn't made any more announcements. She looked over to Kiara, wondering whether she might be able to sneak her a letter or two. She knew that she might, but Athena did not yet know if it would be worth it. She was a Zhefarovich after all and her adventures with non purebloods would probably no longer be tolerated. With a sigh, Athena continued her ice cream, her thoughts going to what she might do for winter. She knew what she wasn't going to do and that was find a job. Athena had no plans to seek employment right away. She'd earned a right to relax and lounge around for a bit, or so she was trying to convince herself. In truth, she would do it for as long as she could get away with it. Turning back to her fellow Slytherin prefects, Athena jumped into the conversation they'd been having.

The time for school was ending, and soon Kiara would no longer be living in this castle. She already knew where she was going after all of this. She had been living here in New Zealand for so long now she was sure she would get used to it. When everything was finished and it was all over, Kiara, who had already packed most of her stuff, would be heading to Justin's house. She hadn't told him yet as she had decided that she would like to surprise him, but she would be heading there not long after she got home. She would have to fly the muggle way as she was not confidant in her apparating skills and she hated port-keys, though they were expensive anyway. Atleast, she thought, I will finally meet Justin's family. That was a plus for anyone right? She sighed as she sat at the Slytherin table for possibly the last time. The next couple of days were going to be a rush of blurs as all the students got ready to leave the school. She definitely wasn't going to miss her room mates, but she would miss Athena, more then she ever expected that she would. They had started out rather suspicious of each other, but gradually they had somehow become friends. It was strange because they knew so little about one another. Yet she was glad for the times they hung out and gossiped in the common room after dark. Their midnight conversations were part of the treasured memories she would keep with her forever. Maybe she would find a way to still be friends with Athena, but it wasn't a problem she had the answer to right now. Maybe eventually, but for now she focused her attention on the Headmistress.

Kiara scooted closer to Justin as the speaking started and glanced over at Athena, though she was not looking her way, so Kiara turned her attention back to Professor Davershire. It was the same schpiel as last year, about who had won the most points for their house. Kiara smirked alittle, she specifically remembered one time where she had lost about fifty points in the space of two weeks. Though that Tamalia girl from Gryffindor had to still be holding the record for point loss. Samual Kaster's older sister had once lost about fifty points even before the year had started. Kiara had to wonder what had happened to her after. She had heard that her and another girl had been expelled. But she didn't know much more then that.

Paige was running a bit late, all the stress that she had from making the exams had made her tired. Her Slytherin robes looked crooked and they were already becoming too small for her. The year came to an end and a tear appeared in Paige her left eye, it was kind of sad to leave this place. The Castle was now her home and going back to the mansion was going to be weird. With a fairly quick pace Paige walked to the Great Hall, a bit too late for the End of the Year feast. She could already see that Slytherin had won this year and a smirk appeared on her face, the lovely Slytherin banners and the Green everywhere made her heart warm up.

Paige sneaked to the Slytherin Table, where she joyfully sat down with the other Slytherin First Years. The amount of points that she had earned for her house was pretty high, but she knew that third years had way more subjects then she had. The top point owner was a Gryffindor and he was a third year, Paige was looking at some third years and thought about which of them had scored most points. When Slytherin came up Paige was not interested and looked at Andrea who looked at her with her golden eyes. ''Who of these third years will be top house point earner for Slytherin?'' Paige was still looking at Andrea when she clearly heard her name with top point earner for Slytherin. Her eyes became twice the size and shocked she looked at Andrea. Everyone was clapping for the top house point earners and on Paige her face appeared a somewhat devilish smile. Paige was starving and after many congratulations she finally got to eat her favourite pumpkin pies at the Great Hall. This year was one she was going to remember for a long time.

David's time at HNZ was coming to an end. He'd only been there two years, but it really did feel like his home. He would cry about leaving, but he'd probably just get judged. He frowned a little. He'd miss the few people he'd actually met during his travels at school. He looked around for Paige, making a mental note to say goodbye to her later. She was sitting with her first year friends, so he didn't bother to intrude. He brushed some hair out of his eyes and put on a weary smile. When the called Paige's name he applauded her shyly and nibbled on some of the food that was before him. Mostly the sugary stuff, because the other food was lame. He looked around and his fellow graduates, and he barely knew them. That was his failing though. And he couldn't blame it on anyone else.

Parts of him wished that he had gotten to know everyone a little better. A couple weeks ago there had been rumors of some party for the seventh years in the forbidden forest, but he didn't both to show up. Or, he didn't have the courage. It just seemed like so much could have gone wrong. The last thing he needed was to ruin his spotless disciplinary record. He discreetly wiped a small tear from his eye and put on a normal face, trying to hide his genuine sadness.
