Rory had found the ground to be inviting but too large an area, he liked keeping things to a minimum and not having to do much just in general but the boy was incredibly happy when he'd noticed the courtyard, a relatively small space, but largely empty, and the slytherin decided it was the perfect place to practice his football (soccer) skills, to kick a ball around. With the Ravenclaw try-outs in full swing, the boy couldn't exactly practice on the pitch without being yelled at, but he was bored and there wasn't much to do at hogwarts yet, it wasn't like he could just sit in the kitchen and watch his mother make bread, or sit with his dad running the store, or play with his cousins, all of whom he got along with, none of that was possible on this side of the world. No, this school had endless space, endless space for him to play and just because the pitch was out of commission didn't mean he couldn't kick around a ball somewhere within it. So, with his brand new football from the 2038 world cup under his arm, and wearing his sports clothes the scot made his way out to the courtyard, where he could just kick it around and have a bit of fun.

Of course, like his older sister had shown him when he'd first taken an interest in the sport, it was important first to warm up, and so he did just that, a little warm up to get the blood moving, before, placing the ball on the ground and giving it a tentative first kick. Rory wasn't actually very good at football, his skill were mediocre at best but he enjoyed it, and he liked dribbling the ball around the courtyard, giving it the odd powerful kick and just having a little bit of fun with it. The boy always found that with sport he could just forget about everything else, nothing else mattered when he was just running about kicking about a ball that barely left the ground, there was a simplicity to the action and the fun that the boy enjoyed, and it was one of the few occasions where he didn't mind working up a sweat or even just working hard.

Aaron found his way to the courtyard just outside the castle, it was a busy place but not as busy as inside the castle so it was perfect for people watching. He decided that it would be a good place to spend his time outside because he found himself being increasingly cooped up inside Gryffindor tower and he missed the outdoors. Aaron took a seat on one of the benches that was facing the centre of the courtyard and looked for people to watch. To his delight, a boy walked out into the courtyard carrying a ball of some sort and he was wearing some interesting clothes too. Aaron watched the boy intently for what seemed like a long while. The boy was just kicking the ball up and down the courtyard and he couldn't imagine how that was entertaining, Aaron didn't even know what game it was that he was playing.

sorry this is bad xD
