Professor Misha Haden led the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage respectively. He told them both the rules as well as the point system before walking off the stage to just watch from a good distance. He was sure this would be a good clean game, but he was ready to step in if he was needed to. ​

All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.
The duel begins now. If someone doesn't post after 24 hours, they are disqualified.

Truthfully Clementine was too soft of a person to find dueling appealing. But after the time in which she had practiced some jinxes on Teddy for her DADA exam, she thought perhaps that had been good practice for something like this. The Hufflepuff took her position on the stage and smiled at her partner before bowing. She decided to perform the first spell she had tried on Teddy and cast the Knee-Reversing Hex.

Lisa was more than excited for dueling. Her father used to be a dueller when he was in school and so she was more than a little interested in possibly walking in his shoes. She headed to the stage, nodding at her partner. She was a Hufflepuff that Lisa had seen in some of her classes. She didn't remember her name though. "Meh the best student win." She cast a Protego to protect herself before heading up with a Stupefy.

Clementine was giddy with excitement over the duel, unperturbed by her partner just trying to stun her, which she had barely blocked in time. Although she felt she had good practice in casting jinxes and hexes, she needed to work on her defense. In the mean time she shot back a Trip Jinx.

Clementine was ready this time and cast her shield charm quickly. She was enjoying herself but also taking this seriously enough because she didn't want to get hurt. Part of her wanted to win so she could tell Teddy about how her practicing jinxes on him had paid off after all. "Expelliarmus!" she shouted.

Lisa was confident in her abilities, and even if she wasn't she was far too stubborn to let herself lose. She quickly shielded herself before attempting to trip her opponent with the trip jinx.
