Professor Styx leads the two contestants to the stage, appointing them into the north or south part of the stage. He reveals the rules as well as the point system. He walks off the stage and orders the duel to begin, as he keeps a watchful eye.​

All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.
The duel begins now. If someone doesn't post after 24 hours, they are disqualified.

Peyton approached the platform where they will be doing the dueling. It had been a long time since she did such a kind of activity. She can't say she's very good at it but just a tad bit. Once on the dueling platform, Peyton was met by another blonde. She looks intimidating, smart even, but that didn't loose her confident. The Gryffindor knows enough spells to keep her off. And with wand out and ready, Peyton took a swift bow and shouted, <COLOR color="#000">"Diffindo!" Once her head was up. The spell seems dangerous but who cares? Only sore losers does.

Charlotte had never dueled before. The only reason she even thought of doing such a thing was because James was doing it and she wanted to be involved in something too. To make the whole situation worse, Professor Styx was going to be keeping an eye on the duel. Nonetheless, Charlotte attempted to put her brave face on as she walked upon the platform, clenching her fist. Before Charlotte was even able to figure out what to do first, a spell was coming her way and Charlotte quickly dodged it. "Protego!" she exclaimed, blocking the incoming spell. She took a sigh of relief before casting a spell right back at her opponent. "Densaugeo." she said, using the first spell that came to her head. This was going to be a long game.

She took a step back as her opponent block her spell. She was quick to think of a spell and cast it her way. Peyton dodged it with a swift of her wand, <COLOR color="#000">"Protego." She muttered and took big strides toward her as she gave a wave of her wand and said, "Reducto." Peyton was hoping she got the girl to end this match quickly.

Charlotte was a bit disappointed that her spell was easy to block but tried not to think of it too much as another spell was then coming straight at her and she had to react fast. "Protego!" she said again, blocking her opponent's spell. It was then that Charlotte realised she did not like dueling. She hesitated before casting another spell back at her. "Stupefy."

Peyton smiled, surprised that her opponent was, by far, good at this. But her decision making was not that fast, once the word came out of her opponent's mouth, Peyton cast a shield in front of her. <COLOR color="#000">"Protego." Backing off a few feet from her. She then continued to throw another spell, "Diffindo!" Peyton shouted. She's now being competitive for the first time since her transfer. Peyton wonder if the girl can make a decision faster than the speed of light now.

Charlotte could see that her opponent obviously wanted to win and she was not going to give up. But something told Charlotte that she should keep playing, despite how much the fellow fourth year in front of her wanted it more. She watched as the girl cast another spell, but Charlotte was too slow to react and she suddenly felt a stinging pain in her left leg. Lifting up her robes slightly she noticed a deep cut in her shin and Charlotte stared at it with wide eyes as she felt pain shoot right up her body. But Charlotte was definitely not going to sulk about it and it was all hopefully an easy fix. With a sharp wave of her wand, Charlotte tried to ignore the pain and sent a conjunctivitis curse right back at her opponent.

The Gryffindor gasp when her opponent did get struck by her spell. She wanted to heal her but she had no clue what spell was it. Peyton looked at Professor Styx with a worried expression and back to the struggling blonde. She knew she's going to attack, and that's what she did but with no effort from Peyton's part, the Gryffindor cast another shielding charm. Koldovstoretz is a strict and greedy school, she would have finished her opponent without remorse but Hogwarts seems to have a different air than the Russian wizarding school and changed her. <COLOR color="#000">"Expelliarmus!" She said. Wanted to disarm her rather than hurt her more.

The ongoing pain in Charlotte's left leg was not enough to knock her out. She knew the girl was then going to cast another spell straight after and so she kept her wand up in front of her, easily blocking the disarming charm with a quick wave of her wand. Taking a sigh of relief, and trying not to put too much pressure on her injured leg, Charlotte then cast the same spell back. "Expelliarmus!"
