All right, make sure that you use the spell list for guidance. No board rule breaking is acceptable. Have fun! I have a copy of the code that you should use with every post. Remember, when you are knocked out, unable to shoot anymore spells, you lost. And if you run out of points, you lose.
Oh, and the duel begins now. Also, if someone doesn't post after 24 hours, then they are disqualified.

Well, this felt like a giant mistake after all. Tybalt had thought that duelling would be that good bit of fun that he could have, but he should've known that the name he'd be drawn with was Sergei. They didn't get along. Well, that wasn't really true. Until recently, Tybalt hadn't actually spoken to the boy. He was distant and cold, where Tybalt was warm and kind. The only interaction they had was passing each other in class, and the prefect's meeting, where Ty had stood in front of the Hufflepuff prefect which Sergei had threatened. It had landed everyone in more trouble, but Sergei had clearly not liked that Tybalt had intervened in any capacity. And here they were, having the fight that he'd been accused of almost starting in the Prefect's meeting. He didn't think that Sergei would be one to back down. He would fight to the end, and at this point, Ty knew he couldn't afford to lose. He gripped the wand tightly in his hand. Tybalt smiled politely at the boy, "Stupefy" Seemed pointless to waste any more time, and perhaps it was a fairly strong spell to start, he doubted Sergei would go easy on him.

Sergei waited for this moment. Seeing as he was a Zhefarovich, dueling and fighting were his specialty. Of course, he would be honorable and at least bow before the opponent, Tybalt Archer. Tybalt got started with a simple spell. He waved his wand and cast Protego before he sent a rather powerful spell toward Tybalt's feet. "Confrigo!" This one he had been working on, but he hoped to really injure the boy in some form. This could do some damage quickly.

Tybalt knew in his heart that this wouldn't be an easy match. They were probably very evenly matched in power. Tybalt knew he probably lacked the anger that burned within the Slytherin. He wanted to win this match against the Slytherin badly. Though he knew if he won it would just make their relationship even more strained. As his spell was easily stopped Ty wasn't surprised, they were sixth years after all. The spell the other threw at him, Tybalt blocked just in time, "Protego" he said, and almost sighed in relief. That spell, if he remembered correctly from his reading was supposed to blow up the target. Was he honestly trying to kill him. Since it would be that kind of fight, Tybalt thought it justified to play like that too. "Incendio" It was still a fairly simple spell, but he would work up to it. There was no use to exhausting himself out easily.

Sergei needed to get his revenge out, and only then, he can put everything behind him. He was a little surprised by the simple spell that Tybalt sent toward him. Sergei managed to block it with another Protego before he was sent up in flames. He swiftly cast out, "Langlock!" Neither knew nonverbal magic, yet, so it would be perfect to get him off guard, and send him flying off stage.

It appeared that his simple spells really weren't going to be any match to the opposite sixth year. And he didn't feel like he should be the one to show being the weaker of the two. They were perfectly good spells, but clearly he needed to think like Sergei to get the upper hand. The boy didn't hold back as he sent another curse to Tybalt which Ty easily deflected with the hex deflection spell. Without giving the other boy any time, he shot back, "Incarcerous" Tybalt couldn't treat this fight as harmless fun. He had to win. He had to beat Sergei.

Sergei took a step to the side to dodge the ropes cast upon him. He did get a good look at the boy, and figured that something that could cause humiliation would suffice before he tried to cause the ground to explode before him. So, Sergei sent the Instant Scalping hex his way, to get rid of Tybalt's hair for now.

Tybalt was annoyed by the boy easily side stepped his spell. He groaned a little, and kept his watch on him, but before he could try and either side step the spell, or protect himself, it hit. Instantly removing his relatively shorter hair. Tybalt touched the top of his head and then his cheeks turned a red colour. Well, that wasn't fun. But thankfully his hair would grow back. He could grow it back, or bring it back with a charm. But, instead of letting his embarassment at losing his hair get the better of him, he just turned it into anger, "Obscuro" he shot back. Hoping to block his target's vision and finish this.

Sergei almost laughed when he saw that the spell was hit. He however, was distracted enough to get hit by the spell. He groaned and he thought about it. Sergei quickly cast Finite on himself so that he could get his vision back, at the very least.

Tybalt was incredibly glad when he managed to get the spell to hit the other boy. It was a small victory for the loss of his hair. Of course he would have the chance to grow it back, and it didn't really matter that Sergei had been briefly blinded. Tybalt took the opportunity as soon as the spell hit, "Diffindo" hoping to cause some damage as the other was briefly distracted.

Sergei managed to get a grip on his eyes, and he figured that there was another spell. Sergei quickly cast up protego, and the force of the spell caused him to skid back a bit. The Gryffindor had some punch to him. He quickly cast Confrigo once more, hoping to blow the Gryffindor right off the stage.

Tybalt smiled as the spell he shot at the Slytherin seemed to knock him back slightly. Although not really enough. Not enough to create any side effect. He didn't however have much time to think about it, as Sergei shot a spell back. Again with desiring to blow something up. Surely that wasn't allowed. "Protego" he said though the strength of the spell was powerful. Surely, that wasn't actually allowed, but Tybalt didn't give it much more thought, "Confrigo" If Sergei was going to use it, Ty would do the same.

Sergei barely got the protego up in time to block the spell, and it took both of his hands to hold the force back. Damn, that was a strong spell. Was he trying to kill Tybalt? Probably accidentally. Whoops. He shook his head and then he quickly intoned, "Levicorpus!" Another spell he had been working on in his free time.

Tybalt had been surprised by the strength of his own spell. It hadn't really been what he wanted. Of course he wanted to beat Sergei, he wanted to be better, but he didn't actually really want to hurt Sergei. His mind so preoccupied that he hadn't seen the spell shotting straight for him. And suddenly he was being held up by his ankle. He was barely able to keep a hold of his wand. But, instead of stressing out, he wasted no time in firing back. "Aguamenti" he shot back, giving himself enough time to counter, "Liberacorpus" and be brought back to the ground with a small thud. He jumped back to his feet, ready to continue.

It was pretty easy for Tybalt to stay focused on this. He wasn't going to be trying the confringo spell again. It wasn't the right spell. He easily dodge the spell sent to him by Sergei. He was very determined to win this as much as he was sure that Sergei also wanted to win. "Reducto" he said with confidence. He could do this.

Sergei was starting to go a little tired of the duel, and considered if he might lose. The whole considering thing sparked something within him, as he threw up the Protego spell to block the Reducto flying at him. He used a lot of strength he had to send out another Confrigo. He just wanted to end this by this point.

Tybalt was not surprised to see that Sergei had managed to really easily block his spell. He was growing a little tired, but he was so motivated to win this. The other boy cast another confringo, and was barely able to cast a shield in time, thought the force of the spell caused Tybalt to take several steps back. It was so powerful. He let out a small breath, before "Stupefy" Ty knew it was probably an easy spell for Sergei to block, but he wanted something easy before getting back into this.

Sergei threw the protection spell again, to block the spell. He was going to continue casting that spell until he was out of strength, which was getting close to it. "Confrigo!" He just wanted to beat that Gryffindor into the ground.

There was little reprieve for the boy, as Sergei both easily blocked his spell and then managed to fire back at him. He was just able to get the shield up in time, but the force of the spell was pushing him back, almost making him stumble over his own two feet as he struggled to keep his ground. He didn't know how many more of those spells he could take before he failed to be able to block it. "Confringo" he fired back, Ty didn't like the spell. He didn't think it was a good spell to use, it was dangerous, but he knew to win this he had to be as strong as Sergei. Even if that wasn't really in his nature.

Sergeri heard the spell coming, but he knew that he was too tired to put up the shield in time and have it work. The spell hit the ground and caused debris to fly everywhere, including Sergei being blasted back, nearly off the platform, by mere centimeters. Pain shot through his right arm, as he was cut and burned from the spell. He got back on his feet, used the pain as a source of power to intone the same spell, "Confrigo!" Anger was evident in his voice, but so was fatigue.

Tybalt watched as the spell pretty much hit the area where Sergei stood, but it didn't hit him, it caused the other one to be sent back several feet, and then Ty watched as the boy was sent backwards, barely staying on the platform. Tybalt instantly felt awful. "Are you alright?" he asked, he might dislike Sergei a lot but he wasn't looking to really hurt him. But, Tybalt barely had time to register that the spell had been sent to him. He could hear the anger in the other boy's voice. He just barely managed to get his shield up in time, which pushed him back several paces. Despite the fact the boy sounded tired, his spells didn't reflect that. But, Tybalt this time around did not fire back, he focused all his attention on that spell. On protecting himself from being blasted off the platform.

Sergei heard Tybalt asked if he was all right, but Sergei definitely wasn't. He was in a lot of pain. He didn't answer, but he continued to push all of that pain into his spell, which was the exact same, intending on blowing Tybalt right off the platform.

Tybalt could tell that the other boy was getting tired. As was Ty really. But however he noticed that the other was not relenting in his spells. Even if Ty didn't fire anything back, the other boy quickly did. To which Tybalt was just barely able to protect himself from. Surely this spell was a dangerous one. In saying that Ty just kept up shielding himself.

The Gryffindor kept blocking his attacks. Sergei growled under his breath, and could feel general wetness on the sleeve of his robe where he was injured. Tybalt had to go down. He had to. <COLOR color="darkgreen">"Fight back!" hollered Sergei as he cast yet another Confrigo in his direction with the remainder of his strength. He had little left, but he was going to fight until he fell unconscious.
