Dragonfly Inn

"I think I can manage that." Bruin said with a smile, figuring it isn't something that would just pop up in conversation. "Well then, shall we head down then?", he added, trying to ensure that they arrived before his stomach started rumbling.

Kiera nodded. "Sure thing." she said as she turned towards the stairs. As she walked she thought of the knot growing in her stomach. She was worried even though the conversation earlier had not gone so badly. They reached the dining room before she knew it. She looked around and saw no sign of Jacqueline. She breathed a little easier. She turned to Bruin. "Where should we sit?" she wondered.

Bruin considered Kiera's question and then thought back to a comment his grandfather had made to him a few summer's back when Bruin had recounted their ill-fated seige on Stark Manor. His grandfather had spoken about Deatheaters a little at that time and one thing that stuck with Bruin was to always expect the unexpected and never turn your back on a potential adversary. For this reason, Bruin now always selected seats in public places with his back to a wall and view of all of the entrances and exits whenever possible.

Bruin surveyed the room and notice a table towards the back corner which provided a quiet area to talk and a good view of the entrance to the dining room. "How about that table in the back?" he gestured. "It looks like it might be good for talking without worrying about other people overhearing and stuff, in case you are your mother want some privacy."

Kiera smiled at Bruin. "That looks like a good place to me too." she said happily. She made her way back to the table. There was barely anyone around. Kiera was just realizing how starving she was. Hopefully this place had good food and fast service. Kiera chose one of the seats with her back against the wall. She sat down and waited. Jacqueline would be her soon.

Jacqueline apperated right outside the Inn. It was bothersome to have to pop in away from where she actually was going. She made quick strides up the stairs and through the door. SHe rounded the corner and walked into the dining room. She smiled approvingly when she found the two children already in the room with a table. Jacqueline made her way to them. They were wearing muggle clothing. She crinkled her nose, at least it was nice muggle clothing. "Hello Kiera and Bruin." she said in the most plesant voice she could muster.

Kiera didnt notice Jacqueline approaching them until she spoke. Kiera looked up startled by the voice. She saw her mother attempting to be nice. Kiera smiled. She was thankful for the effort Jacqueline was putting forward. Kiera decided she might as well put forth the same effort. "Hello mother." she said in her normal bright and cheerful voice.
