After hanging out with Callie and Finfin Nia waddled her way to get some snacks and see what was going on. She had really done her best with the costume and was as proud as one can be, but she had to admit walking squeezed between the thin panels, was not the easiest. Perhaps she should have made the door a little shorter so her knee's could bend a little more, or maybe using cardboard or just paper would have been better. It was too late to think what could have been done now so Mania just decided to enjoy herself, though no dancing would be happening tonight so she just opted for the snack table.

For some reason Doyle didn't think Halloween would be celebrated by witches and wizards. When you already were what most people dressed up as what was the point? But in the end he scrambled together some hand made cat ears and put some whiskers on his face, and called it a day. He was shocked to see how elaborate some other people's costumes were and he walked around taking it all in. Eventually he made his way to the snack table and recognized a girl from his year dressed as a door. That was a new one. "Wow." he said appreciatively. "Is there a prize for most creative?" he asked, knowing there was a costume contest going on. "If so I think you've got it for sure."

Mania was still pondering on what to try first when she heard a voice from beside her. Stiffly she turned around, full body turn because that was the only way to look at others. "Hmm I don't know, don't remember but I better win something, I think I did quite well." She agreed looking at the boy she recognized from classes, a big smile etched on her face. "You like it? I'm glad, I was dooring my best, get it? I did my best as a door." The Gryffindor let out a giggle at her own silly pun, taking a better look at the boys cat costume. "I like your costume too! I'm Mania by the way, but feel free to call me Nia!" Nia said eagerly, she could not for the life within her remember the boys name so this was the most polite way of bribing it out of him without admitting she couldn't remember more than that he was on her lessons and wore the yellow robes, Hufflepuff ones.

Doyle stifled a laugh as the girl struggled to turn around. But he grinned at her and nodded in agreement. He did finally laugh at her pun. "I do like it." he insisted. "Is it heavy?" he asked and tentatively reached out to touch the costume. "Oh thanks, was just something I threw together." he said a little skeptically when she complimented him. "I'm Doyle."

Mania's grin widened and she was pleased to hear the laugh at her well made pun. "Yep it is a bit heavy and quite uncomfortable, imagine being squeezed between walls and you are on the right track." It was very worth it though, because c'mon a door? Yeah everyone would remember it for sure, would be hard to top next year but she'd manage. "Well I like it. Cats are nice and it is sometimes fun to just do a simpler costume, trust me a few times making this one I wished I had gone a way easier route." Nia managed to let out somewhat of a sigh, it wasn't as dramatic as she'd liked since well she was squeezed and getting that much air would have made her more uncomfortable. "Nice to meet you Doyle, I like the name it has a nice ring to it!" It wasn't a complicated one like some names seemed to be made to be impossible to remember or to pronounce, but Doyle was nice and simple one on both aspects so at least she wouldn't have to ask him again next time she saw him, that would have been awkward.
