Christa knew that Beatrice was on the Hogwarts Monthly, so she headed to the fifth floor in the hopes she could catch her. "Hi! I was wondering if Beatrice is here?" It was her last delivery, so she was excited to get it all done so she could focus on the new classes for this semester.

@Beatrice Grey

Beatrice was determined to write a good piece for the paper this semester and had been spending some extra time on the fifth floor after handing out most of her roses for the day. She heard someone call for her and barely looked up as she erased a terrible sentence she'd just written. "Yeah, what's up?" she called.

"Hi! Happy Valentine's Day! I have a rose for you!" Christa announced, holding out the red rose to the girl. She really hoped it was a nice rose, because she didn't think people would be mean in a rose, especially not a red one. "Are you having a good day?" She asked, passing the note to the older girl.
I'm not done with you yet. Morrie

Beatrice was surprised she'd received a rose and took it from the girl, giving her a smile. "Thanks," she said, opening the note. The Ravenclaw's face dropped, and she could feel her face starting to turn red. How rude of someone to send a rose just to be so mean. Beatrice crumpled up the note and threw it in the trash next to where she was sitting. She looked at the rose and then back at the girl. "I was," she said. "Thank you for delivering the rose," she responded with a half smile, sure the girl was confused why she had just thrown away a note that most people would assume was nice.

She was indeed very confused about why the girl had thrown away the note and she watched her a little dumbfounded. "Oh..." She wasn't sure if it made sense to apologise in this situation, even if she didn't know what was wrong, but she didn't like that the girl's face had dropped. "Sorry," it felt about the only right thing to do and the fact she said she had been having a good day, but now appeared not to be felt like it might have been Christa's fault.

Beatrice looked up at the girl and realized that she had just done something that made it look like she didn't appreciate the effort the girl had gone to in finding her. "No, it's not you. It's-" she started, looking around the room to make sure Morrie wasn't anywhere nearby. "Someone else. Apparently, people send mean roses," she said, picking up the rose and walking over to an area where Morrie sometimes sat and thinking for a moment. She didn't know any spells or anything clever to do with the rose other than tearing it apart. But someone else could easily clean it up before Morrie ever saw it. And even then, she didn't know if the girl would know it was her way of "thanking" the Slytherin for the rose. Beatrice stared at the seat for a moment before returning to her own chair. "Here," she said, holding out the rose. "You can have it if you want, as a thank you for delivering it."

Christa wasn't sure she wanted a rose that had been used to be mean, she didn't think she could understand why someone would do that. "Oh, I'm sorry someone did that, that's not very nice," she didn't have the note anymore because Beatrice had gotten rid of it, but she thought the organisers should maybe have thought about that. Did they not check the notes? Back at her old school they always had, all the teachers would check the notes to make sure they weren't inappropriate, so she couldn't fathom how someone could allow someone to send a mean note. "I hope it doesn't completely ruin your day," she said, taking the rose from the girl, perhaps something nice could come of this anyway.

ooc: i totally forgot that christa joined the pep club and Bea would know who she is lol

"No, it didn't. I mean, it wasn't...." Beatrice started before sighing. "Thanks, Christa," she said. "I hope you at least enjoy the rose. Sorry I didn't seem grateful." she ended, thinking about how her mom would have scolded her for being rude herself, even if it wasn't in front of the person who sent the flower.
