DETENTION

Vico stomped his hooves on the ground impatiently as Claphore dealt with the young man who seemed more than incapable of simply shutting up. Once the boy was taken care of Vico returned his entire attention to Andromeda who seemed to, at one point, get some sort of idea on her own for how to get out of the situation - but that idea was entirely abandoned soon enough. He tenses the string of his bow once more, if only for the assurance that - even if the werewolf should try something, his arrow would injure her, or her friend, before she got very far.

"Now leave what you've taken." Vico began, his eyes darting between the two, wondering what they would be setting down on the forest floor. "Once that is done we'll walk you safely to the forest's edge and you won't come back here for the rest of your schooling, or our arrows will not hit the ground and our swords will not stop at your throats. I fear you wizards have become too accustomed to getting off the hook. You do not see centaurs riding through villages. You do not see us invading your lands. You have the entire world. My herd has this forest, and just as we respect your lands we should hope that our lands be respected as well. Our land is not a playground for school children." Vico's cold voice had a hint of exasperation in it at one point as he spoke, he was altogether sick of dealing with these wizards and being too uneasy to actually kill a few and teach the lot of them a lesson. Tonight was his breaking point. A werewolf in his land? On a full moon? The next student to trespass on the rightful land of his herd would be the first student to taste death from the hands of a centaur.

Crispin stiffened, his muscles contracting near painfully as he fought to keep still, that deadly blade slicing uncomfortably close to his and Andy's skin. His jaw firmed, teeth clenched as that blade now found home against his neck. He knew one false more on either his or Andy's part and he would be either grievously injured, or dead. Wishing he had his apparition license, vowing to get it before the end of the school year, he stood still. The lead centaur spoke again and he was grateful that they would show them leniency this once. He knew though, they weren't out of the woods yet, literally.

Aware of the broadsword's location against the base of his neck, Crispin slowly turned out his jacket pockets. The sprigs of mistletoe fell to the floor in clumps, small round red berries trickling until they too joined the forest ground. The next item, though, he did not know how they would react to. How would he feel if someone had a clump of human hair that was not theirs in their pockets? The hair left his hand, blew in the wind and landed near the lead centaur's feet.

Andromeda glanced sideways as Crispin began to empty his pockets, the leader was giving them along lecture about where they should and should not be allowed go. She was fearful what they would think when they saw the centaurs hair and biting her lip hoped they would not take it out on Crispin for their professors foolishness.
She waited anxiously, hoping they could simply just get back to the school already.

The professor landed just outside the ring of centaurs and nearly dropped dead herself on the spot when she saw what was happening. Gabriel and herself had set up specific alarms in the bracelets to alert them if anything happened to the students, if Kat and Lily had not returned and behaved so uncharacteristically she would have heeded the alarm sooner. She wanted to cast a shield instinctively around the students but was afraid of the ramifications, the slightest movement and the oaf of a centaur might slice Crispin's head off.

Drawing attention to herself immediately Lola called out;
"What in the Merlins name is going on here? How dare you attack our students" she had very little time for squabbling centaurs and stared defiantly now at the one with his arrow trained specifically on Andromeda. As she glanced around to take it all in properly she realized that every arrow was trained on her, the only weapon that was trained on Crispin was an enormous broadsword and not just trained on him but quite literally at his throat.
"Picking on defenseless children, you're warrior like ways never ceases to amaze me. Where's the nobility in terrifying children?"

Vico paid no notice to the centaur hair the fell from Crispin's pockets, he could have honestly cared less what feel from the boy's pockets, unless it was something quite visibly atrocious. It was more the principle of the matter that he was trying to convey to the pair. He whinnied slightly in approval of Crispin's finally following an order when Vico heard a urstling in the forest behind him then a voice called out to him.

Vico was growing more than tired of his constant battle to protect his herd and their land. Wizards seemed not to understand that sometimes a civilization, quite simply, needed their space - especially from such an arrogant lot as wizards. The night was simply getting worse and he was growing tired of the entire situation. He knew violence would be more than acceptable in this situation, if not harming the children and their professor he could easily have them kidnapped and returned after certain terms were met - but he had always been one to scare with weapons and solve problems with diplomatics. Deciding that the use of force would not benefit him or his herd at the present time, and that diplomacy was impossible with the newest idiot to arrive, he whistled authoritatively to the band he'd brought with him, completely ignoring and cutting off the witch who he could easily prove to be his subordinate - physically, and mentally.

"We're meeting with these Wizards and settling the issue of our territory once and for all. Take the children and carry them with us back to the school. Three of you walk with this professor," Vico nearly spat the word professor, the fact that this woman was assumed to be educated and was teaching others of her kind was the scariest thought he had had in a while. "Should she even reach for her wand she should be dead before she hits the ground." Vico commanded, turning his body around and beginning at a steady pace toward the edge of the forest and, thusly, the school. "If the wizards and the werewolf behave themselves none of them should be harmed. None of these will be able to solve our problem, but I've met one who can help." With this final statement Vico broke off in to a trot, trusting his band of warriors would be behind him, the students and professor in tow.

Vico rode through the forest pridefully, his head held high in the air and his bow drawn, prepared to aim and kill anything that got in his way. Tonight was the night that he ensured the safety of his herd, or died trying to do so.

(Note: After all necessary parties respond I will start the appropriate topic(s) on school grounds, if that's cool?)

Andromeda turned her head in the direction of the voice and bristled indignantly. Once upon a time she had actually liked this professor but she had sent a whole bunch of students more importantly Crispin into this mess without thinking it through obviously. Turning her head back to look first at the centaur who was doing all the talking, she decided best thing to do would be to just follow orders from him. At least someone in authority around here had their head screwed on... a bit. She wanted to desperately reach for Crispin's hand and tell him how sorry she was for all of this but knew deep down that it was only half her fault, if she had been normal at all the centaurs might not have even bothered with them.

She turned to walk with the group, noticing how arrogant the leader appeared to be and frowned. Grown-ups of any race then were obnoxious.

Lola humphed indignantly but knowing there was too many and not wanting to put the children's lives into further upheaval or danger decided to play along with the foolish oaf who seemed to like the sound of his own voice.

"I hate to break it to you but the entire forest is not your domain. Students have been serving detention here for as long as I can remember and it is also used for some of our Care of Magical Creatures classes, as well as herbology. So do not start attempting to lord it over us just because you happen to be taller" she put her wand away into her robe and went to stand behind the children. Walking back to the school with them, hopefully Gabriel would have summoned the headmaster or the headmistress by the time they reached the clearing.

Think perhaps Lola should be dead already then... for continuity sake from this post in original detention thread, Lola had already taken out her wand.Bang bang baby detention

Crispin glared at the professor, wishing she'd keep her mouth shut. He tried never to harbor ill will toward others, it was a waste of energy and time. Yet at the moment he would have cheerfully gagged her. His hand brushed Andy's and without thinking he grasped it, as he had when he'd walked her to her house last night. He knew she was strong but he wanted to offer her any reassurance he could. His eyes met hers, trying to say something with his steady gaze. We'll be alright. Eyes forward once more, his thoughts turned on the people waiting inside the castle. He couldn't allow anyone to be hurt, not because of something he'd helped cause. If it meant his life, he'd lay it on the line for another. Especially, his eyes cut to her and forward again, for Andromeda. Because he loved her.

Lola: I'm going to ignore the wand issue. I shouldn't be expected to read previous RPs to see if she had her wand out or not, and unfortunately you didn't mention it in your post. Therefore I'll go with a more minor god mod that your character has a tiny bit of sense and, when seeing the centaurs, decided it'd be best not to fright them with her wand.

"Wizards prove their ignorance yet again." Vico barked to the woman who seemed to be entirely unable to keep quite behind him as he neared the edge of the forest. The fact of the matter was that the whole forest was the domain of his herd, and recognized to be so. Detentions were seldom served in the forest and, when they were, they were never served as deep in to the forest as this one had been. This had been the furthest in any set of students had been, and the fact that they were continually getting deeper set great fear within Vico's heart. Both the Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology classes had been given express consent to use the outskirts of the forest, in a respectful manner, for their lessons so long as lessons were only during the daylight. The centaurs were not irrational and had worked fairly hard to stay out of the way of the school - but today was precedent setting and entirely unacceptable. Of course, Vico explained none of this to the witch behind him, he knew he was not answerable to her and he knew that her own ignorance went far deeper than any two sentences of explanation could cure.

Vico picked up his pace, breaking through the edge of the forest with a leap and landing quickly back on the ground, galloping directly toward the front entrance of the castle, his bow very clearly visible. Many students could see him and his band of warriors exiting the forest, two students and a professor trailing behind them. Vico could care less about the looks, he now had an express purpose in what he was doing and the day would not end for him until his goal was achieved.
