Ailsa Evans loved one thing really above all else. She loved Quidditch, and despite what others thought, for her quidditch really was everything. Flying was the most fun she could and did have. She loved every second of it, which was why despite it only being the first few days of term, that she was already itching to get out and play a little ball, which was why Ailsa had decided when she'd awoken too early that morning, that it was the perfect time to get out to the pitch and get some flying done. She was looking forward to it all. Looking forward to making trying out the team if she was needed. As well as just trying to show that she was good at the sport. As good as the players on team that had been training for a few more years than her. With that in mind Ailsa got herself ready. She dressed pretty casually for the day. She was sure that it would be good fun to try it out when most would be getting ready, and since all she had planned was flying, she knew that she didn't really need to dress in anything other than what she already had. Ailsa needed casual clothes that were the best for flying. It took her a few times to find them, but in the end she did. It only took a few moments, and then Ailsa was out the door. Not caring if she awoke anyone as she left.
Ailsa finally felt truly at home when she stepped out onto that pitch. She couldn't remember the last time she had felt this amazing. She loved flying, it was her favourite thing in the world, and while she could deal with it not being in her life, she just preferred when it was. After grabbing one of the school brooms, she wished she'd persuaded her father to give her his old broom that she practiced on at home. It felt much better than this broom which she had to borrow from the school. It didn't feel good really. She wanted her own broom, but her parents had told her she wouldn't be able to get one until she was at least thirteen which to the young eleven year old Gryffindor was a very long way away. She was just really looking forward to getting started, so, throwing her bag on the ground, which really only held water and an extra layer, she jumped up onto the broom and flew up into the air. Oh, it was the most magical feeling. To start off the young Gryffindor just flew round and round the pitch until she was feeling pretty dizzy. Then she just hovered in the air on the broom, and sighed. She was relaxing, she had in the end been pleased with her placement in Gryffindor house, and the girl really was looking forward to everything about it. She wasn't too studious but to help her house she would try. As long as it was what she wanted.
