Rory was very bored with Therese, he didn't know what it was about the other girl and the more time they spent together, but Rory was no longer as interested in her as he had been, but he was looking for an out with her. He didn't really want to have to break up with her, though that was exactly what he needed to do and mostly he'd just been avoiding her. It was easier for him to do that because of the fact he was older, in a different house and just good at avoiding doing things he knew he needed to do. The boy had enjoyed that conversation he'd had with Evelyn those weeks before and it had put him on this path of avoiding his girlfriend and enjoying the time he spent less and less with each passing week. He just needed to break up with her, but maybe later. It had been easier with Anabelle, though perhaps it was because he just hadn't cared about her as much as he did with therese. He wasn't surprised that him and Therese hadn't worked out, she wasn't pureblood and he was heading towards going back home were he would've had to break up with her.

The teen was hoping to head up to the library, he'd taken out a quidditch book and hoped to return it, but as he wandered up the stairs towards it, he was sure he had spotted the familiar sight of the brunette. Rory immediately turned and headed in a different direction. This lead him to the entrance hall where he put himself behind a pillar, where she wouldn't spot him, but he didn't notice the girl who hated him - one of the many - at the other side of the room. he was just intent on avoiding his girlfriend and waiting it out, he could after all, he had the time. There were exams this semester for him but he would be fine. He had dropped so many classes he had far less work to do in these ones. He'd give it a few more minutes before he continued with his day.

Sunlight permeated the entrance hall as Andi arrived there after the trek down from her common room, the light a contrast to her sour mood caused from the aching she couldn't rid from the back of her head. Sooner or later she knew her sleep habits would catch up with her, waking up early naturally, napping often during the day, and later being unable to sleep during the night as a result not what many people would consider healthy. She just didn't think it would hit her in the form of a headache in the most inopportune moments. That day was meant to be peaceful, and a time for her to relax slightly knowing the semester was nearly over, not one she wanted to spend feeling worse than she usually did due to something she couldn't fully control. Sighing, Andi considered heading to the kitchens for some food and a glass of water, or possibly a cup of coffee to help her fight the headache and allow her to continue with her day without it literally nagging the back of her mind. If she had food in her stomach she was sure she would be able to feel normal again by the time she found Aodhan milling around.

With the decision clearly made Andi began to head further down to the kitchens, but quickly stopped her movements when she caught sight of another headache she couldn't get rid of. Rory Fergusson had been the bane of her existence ever since she realized how entitled and downright awful he was, both to his friends and the girls unfortunate enough to date him, from what she heard. What didn't help her low opinion of him too was the fact she had asked around to learn his name after their first encounter while he hadn't bothered to do the same for her in return. Thus the reason Andi avoided the slytherin for the last couple of years; she simply didn't want to rile herself up and interact with someone that couldn't lift a finger for themselves. However despite avoiding him and spending time with Aodhan who was a headache in more tolerable, less self-absorbed way, it seemed she couldn't avoid the bad luck that forced her to run into him again. It was obvious, too, that Rory's ways hadn't changed as Andi watched him dart behind a pillar, clearly hiding from something. Whatever it was, it didn't take long for Andi's already sour mood to convince her to approach and confront him, frown on her face and arms crossed over her torso. "Still hiding from your responsibilities? Could you act like more of a child?"The questions were rhetorical and she hadn't caught a glimpse of what the boy was actually hiding from, but she didn't need much to jump to a conclusion.

Rory narrowed his eyes when the voice spoke. He found himself face to face with a girl that he had been able to successfully avoid for a while now, though it did appear that his luck had run out. She was different than how his mind really remembered her, she was older, well formed and boy was she beautiful. Rory was stunned as he looked at her, not comprehending how that girl had become this. The boy shook his head at her, ignoring the intrusive thoughts about how it would be quite nice to get to know her properly and be her friend or more and more upon what she was saying and how he was acting, since this certainly didn't paint him in a very good light. He also struggled to understand why the girl cared, as far as he knew he'd never been that unkind to her specifically, unkind to everyone else, but to her, he'd never been that bad. Or well, he couldn't remember ever being that bad to her, though maybe he was just forgetting. It wouldn't be the first time that his actions weren't something he necessarily remembered.

"Why dae ye care?" the boy responded, pushing down how he felt about her and focusing on just acting like himself with her. Why did she care, he could not care about what she was doing with her life, though clearly avoiding him was one of the things she did because he was sure he'd have spent time sending her roses rather than Anabelle, Fleur and Therese combined. The boy tried his best to just stay hidden, giving away his location would not help in avoiding his girlfriend, and he was sure if he said as much to this girl that she would more than happily give it away to whomever was passing. "Just go away. Dinnae ye have better things tae dae, other folk tae annoy," he spoke in a more hushed tone and just hoped she wouldn't be frustratingly predictable and annoying with him, though he almost hoped she would stay so he could talk to her a little more, look at her a little more, after all, she was simply breathtaking to look at.

Rory's question of why Andi cared so much about him running away from his responsibilities and the consequences of his selfish actions had an obvious answer. She cared because the importance of hard work and striving for a goal had been ingrained into her brain the moment she was born. She cared because Rory was an obnoxious, self absorbed, entitled snob that never had to lift a finger for himself throughout his entire life and blamed other people for his wrongdoings, the first person she had ever met with this attitude, in fact. She cared because he took advantage of people that did work for their goals, and to Andi, none of his behavior was acceptable. Although this answer was not one she would waste her time explaining to him, because as far as she was concerned he didn't deserve the satisfaction of having an answer and she did not want to bother giving him the time of day. The irony that she was indeed giving him the time of day by initiating her interaction with him didn't cross Andi's mind as she squared her shoulders, tightening her arms over her torso the further more frustrated she felt towards Rory.

When he told her to go away she stood her ground, attention unwavering. Whether her actions were annoying or not she knew someone needed to call out his selfish actions when they saw them, and given her lingering headache causing her to feel awful she was more than willing to be the one to step forward. Ignoring his second comment in the same way she ignored the first, Andi's eyes narrowed as she stared him down, wordlessly demanding an explanation before outright asking for it. "Who are you hiding from?" She assumed at that point it was indeed a 'who' and not a 'what' he was avoiding, and the question of 'why' not one that was even in her mind. From what she knew of Rory there would be no reasonable explanation for his side and he was undoubtedly in the wrong. The reason he attempted to conjure for why he was hiding behind the pillar would be pointless anyway, she was sure of it.

Rory didn’t understand why the girl cared in the slightest about what he was doing. Why would she even spare a thought to him and what he was doing. Rory didn’t particularly understand why any person who disliked him cared enough to argue with him, to just be annoying towards him and care what he did. Most people had laid off on him as he had gotten older, sure there were the occasional arguments but even Amber who absolutely hated him at one point, no longer sought him out to annoy. Tristan the younger boy was someone Rory would annoy if the occasion arose, but Rory didn’t care about him currently. He didn’t spare a thought to the boy apart from when he’d be stood there and Rory was happy to annoy him. This girl seemed to care a lot about what he was doing for some completely bizarre reason to him. His gaze was upon her as she seemed to be looking at him and then around.

”Again, why’d ye care?” Rory pressed the point, completely baffled as to why she would care that much about what he was doing. He didn’t need to explain himself to her, he owed her nothing, he didn’t need to say anything. He narrowed his eyes at her, trying his best to ignore the little feeling in his head about her. ”No tha’ it matter’s tae ye, but ah’m avoiding Therese,” The boy wasn’t going to tell her who Therese was to him, maybe she knew of them, but Rory wasn’t going to go out of his way for this conversation, ”What are ye daeing?” the slytherin returned to her, his tone hushed, there appeared to be an attempt to dull his own accent, though it wasn’t a particularly good attempt at it. He just hoped to not get caught out in his hiding. Or for her to give his position away. Hiding was not the most mature thing he had done, but he wasn’t going to do anything else currently apart from that.

Andi almost, almost wanted to shout and draw attention to where Rory was hiding because he repeated his question to her instead of answering the one she gave him. She had no intention to allow him to avoid answering since it meant he would get away with whatever immature reaction this was. Though she stopped herself when he did answer, saying he was hiding from someone named Therese. Andi being antisocial in general did not know many people in her year let alone people in other years so the name did not ring a bell. Nor did whatever relationship Rory had with this Therese and given how stressed she was she quite frankly did not care. It didn't take a genius to gather whatever reason he was hiding was stupid and his choice to hide in the first place was proof he was a coward that couldn't take any responsibility for his own actions. She was about to voice this although was forced to stop herself again when his question about what she was doing caught her off guard. In her state of annoyance over the headache she still had in the back of her head and the other headache that was Rory's existence she wasn't able to decide if it was a question meant to deflect the subject from what he was doing or a genuine interest in her day.

It took a few seconds but she eventually shook her head knowing Rory wouldn't have any other agenda than one that benefited him and he couldn't be asking for any other reason to try and change the subject. "I'm trying to figure out if I should find this Therese or not and tell them you're avoiding them." She answered, knowing her words sounded like a small threat because it was how they were meant to be heard. When she gave her actions a second thought shouting to out where he was hiding, while possibly embarrassing enough for him to not do it again, might not be as effective as outing him to the person he was hiding from. That way he would be made to confront whatever problem he caused (Andi was adamant if he was hiding because of a problem it was entirely his own doing) head on instead of cowering behind a pillar. It would take some asking around as Andi had no idea who this Therese was, but she was sure she could find them eventually. Someone in the school other than Rory was sure to know who they were.

Rory was rather surprised when she didn’t start shouting about where he was just to whomever was passing. With the way that this girl acted towards him all of the time. The boy knew he hadn’t been great to a lot of people, but he could not remember what he might’ve done to her for her to react in such a fashion to him in all the occasions where they interacted, which really wasn’t all that often. He just needed to stay there a little longer and then he would be able to leave and not have to deal with this entire conversation, this interaction. He rolled his eyes at her response when she responded to his question with a dumb answer, ”I dinnae understand why ye care,” He said in response, ”Ye dinnae know me, ye dinnae know her, ye dinnae know whats goin’ on between us,” he was getting annoyed her at. The girl was certainly more beautiful than he remembered her being, but he did not need this sort of person currently to be attempting to meddle in his life. He knew he was being cowardly by hiding, he knew that she was well in her right to just say he was there, but he was growing fairly tired of having to always explain his actions to people who didn’t need to be involved.

He was trying his best to not get angry and get into fights with others, but people were making it rather difficult for him, people like this girl, who were intent on getting involved in this they didn’t need to be, or who just knew exactly what to do to get a rise out of him. Maybe he could admit he brought a lot of it on to himself, but that didn’t mean others had to get involved. He would need to at some point annoy her in the same way she was annoying him right now, maybe that was just the way to do it. ”Ye know what, just f#cking say I’m here, shout at anyone passing that I’m hiding here, go find Therese and let her know where ah am, cause ye just clearly f#cking hate me, so have at it,” he stepped forward a little, coming a little out of where he was hiding. He didn’t care if she left to go find Therese he would just leave again. ”All ye care about is showin’ me up fae something ye dinnae know anythin’ about,” She wouldn’t care about any reasoning he could give to why he was doing this, he could just figure much like how that hufflepuff Amber had used to be towards him or how Professor Styx was towards him. It didn’t matter what he was doing, he was just doing something wrong, he was responsible, so what if he then leaned into it.
