Kade had been in Interlaken for two days and was pretty sure he never wanted to leave the place. The scenery was amazing, the quaint Swiss town nestled between two lakes and surrounded by the beautiful Alps. The town was nothing short of perfection. The only downside had been the language barrier, but he was thankful that his German grandfather had taught all his grandchildren the very basics, as his German got him a lot farther in Switzerland than did his English. It still didn't get him far, but it was something.

Slinging his backpack over his shoulders, Kade made his way down the street to the nearest bus stop where he looked at the listings to find when the next bus would arrive. He was planning to spend the day in Sigriswil, which was about a fifteen-minute bus ride northwest. There was some decent hiking in the area and a really long panoramic bridge strung across a gorge that he was keen to walk across.

"Bus to Sigriswil in..." He paused to check the bus time listings again, then looked down at his watch. "Five minutes. Not bad." He was eager to get there and get to hiking. He'd read about some caves nearby as well. If he didn't have time today, perhaps he'd add it to his to-do list for tomorrow.

The last couple of years, Caro had been breathing, for the first time in her life. She hadn't set foot in New Zealand since her graduation, finally leaving the home she had always resented behind. A childhood filled with stories of the beauty of the world had finally, finally come to fruition. The world was open to her now, she could go anywhere, do anything, and nobody could stop her. Photography didn't always make the most money, but she had gotten used to camping and slumming it a lot easier than she had expected to. If she ever did go home though, she expected it would be with a surprising new appreciation for the family lodge.

She was travelling the muggle way today, contracted for some photos of a bridge for a travel magazine she had worked with a few times before. Muggle photography was a different art to the magical kind, one she was still getting the hang of, but it did pay well. Waiting at the bus stop, her ears perked up automatically as she heard someone speaking English. She had been picking up scraps and scrapings of different languages in her travels, but Caro always appreciated running into people she could speak with fluently. "You going to see the bridge too?" She asked, hitching her pack slightly higher on her shoulders, though the various charms on it kept the weight from actually affecting her all that much. "I've heard it's gorgeous."
