What's the general conversion rate for Galleons?

1 New Zealand dollar is roughly 70 cents US, 30-40pence UK, 50cents Euro.
 
Wizarding money and it's exchange rate is a bit iffy, tbh. A lot of it doesn't really add up. JKR once said that one galleon was approximately £5, but then the prices of some things in the books didn't quite fit in with this. :erm:
Plus since we don't have sickles and knuts here, galleons tend to be worth a lot more. I guess we could just say that this is 'cos of inflation and all, since it is like 2023 now. :lol:
I dunno, there isn't really a definite answer, but check out this, it's about as much info as you'll get. ^_^
 
I think at the point where we try to figure out an exchange rate for wizarding money on HNZ that we've gone too far. :lol:
Sorry, but it's true. The fact that everything on HNZ is only done in Galleons ruins any chance we'd have of figuring out such an exchange, anyway.
