Rosie thought that she and Bryce had come up with the perfect costumes for this year's Halloween Feast. The brunette had no idea whether Bryce knew what Pac-man was or not, but he seemed pretty satisfied with their costumes as well. Rosie's family was fairly poor, so anything that could be made or found without it costing a fortune was perfect in Rosie's eyes. "I really wish I had cut some eye holes in this thing. I can barely see where I'm going." The costume was also a bit heavy for Rosie. As awesome of a costume as it was, it definitely had some flaws that made it harder to get around. Rosie couldn't even see Bryce hanging around, though she did suspect that he was somewhere by the food table. If Rosie could actually make her way over there then maybe she would find him. The young Ravenclaw sifted her way through the crowd of dancers, apologizing every couple of seconds in case she had bumped into anyone. Rosie was almost grateful that she couldn't see the looks she was getting from people at the moment.

Eventually Rosie felt her costume crash into something large. "Owwww." It kind of hurt too. Rosie wanted to wander away hoping that no one would noticed her or whatever it was she crashed into, but she was pretty hard to miss in her large costume. "That's it....I need to take this off-" Rosie shifted around and started to pull the costume off of her. It took a bit of wiggling around on her part because it was a tight fit, but eventually she had the costume off and her chocolate brown eyes landed on the food table. That must have been what she had bumped into. Luckily it looked as if nothing had been broken or damaged, nor was anyone around to really have seen her crash.

Bryce Chamberlin could not believe that he was dressed up as a huge, incomplete, yellow hockey puck. With an eye. It was made of cardboard since he had made one with Rosie, and they were Mr. and Mrs. Pac-Man. He was very glad to have come here with her, instead of anyone else. It was like they were a married couple! It just felt right to Bryce, even though he did not know much about Pac-Man, just that it was an ancient video game in the muggle world. One bad thing was that he had a very narrow view, and he did not hear anything around him in the Great Hall. He could not hear, so he was basically a walking handicap. Did Bryce care? Not really. He just wanted to find Rosie, since he could actually talk to her, and he did not want to have to talk to anyone else around there. At the moment, Bryce was relying on his sight and his feeling with his feet and hands to feel the breeze of people around him, without having to touch them. He could not just call out for Roo either, since he did not want to speak.

Right now he was also heading for the food. The human trash can was feeling really hungry right now, and since his costume stuck out, he did not mean to rush over so fast that his costume bumped into the table so hard, Bryce's body bounced back and he landed on his arse right in front of Mrs. Pac-Man. Bryce groaned silently, and he waved his arms a bit, searching for some way to get off of the floor. He did not know that Rosie was nearby, and he needed some serious help up, and he thought that he should probably take off the costume cause he was a hazard to himself, more so than others. And he was starving!

Rosie was in the midst of drinking a cup of punch when she felt the table next to her shake violently. It scared her so she nearly spit punch all over herself as she backed away to see what caused it to shake like that. Rosie leaned over and smiled when her brown eyes saw that it wads Bryce who had bumped into the table like that. "Awh poor guy." Rosie felt bad. The only reason he had put that costume on was because he thought it would make her happy. It did too, because Rosie didn't have the money to afford these luxurious costumes. So the bulky cardboard box was about the best she could do until she found a job or sorts to make sure that she had money for this sort of stuff. Bryce was such a good friend to her. They had been friends for just about three years now. He even had a cute little nickname for her that was started when she accidentally mispronounced her name to him once. Rosie noticed that he seemed to need some help getting up, so without another thought in her mind, the brunette leaned over and used her hands to help pull Bryce up quickly. Chances were that he didn't know it was her either, so she would need to take the costume off of him.

Rosie struggled getting the giant cardboard thing off of him, but with a little bit of aid from Bryce's part, she was able to finally pull it off of him. "Having fun?" Rosie signed, teasing Bryce a little bit about the fact that he had trouble with the costume as well. It was really cute though. Even in the bulky costume, that boy was still able to find his way to the food. "I should have figured that one way or another, you'd find your way over to the food. Hungry?" Rosie used a mixture of signing and mouthing to say this. Rosie may have been working on her signing three years now, but there was still so much she didn't know how to sign to him. He usually got the message one way or another, though.

Bryce felt really silly right now, struggling on the floor to try to get on his feet. However he felt someone try to get the box off of him. Once it was finally off of him, Bryce looked up in wonder and saw that it was Rosie. She had removed her costume too. He did not blame her for doing so, and with it finally off of him, Bryce could get back on his feet. Bryce dusted himself off, and he put the costume to the side and he wondered what they should do with Mr. and Mrs. Pac-Man. He looked to Roo and he could not help but chuckle silently. This year was really fun with Halloween, and there was nothing he would want to do than to spend it with his best friend. Bryce looked at what Rosie was signing to him, and she was asking if he was having fun. Bryce looked around and he signed, "Definitely, though navigating around in that costume was really difficult." Bryce turned to look at the table to see what sort of food that they were serving there, and he saw so many things that he wanted to just indulge in, gain twenty pounds from sweets, he did not care. He just wanted to eat.

Now the third year was looking to Rosie to see that she was signing and mouthing, both of which he understood what she was saying. Bryce grinning a bit, and he answered with a nod. He was insanely hungry, and he needed something to soothe his appetite. Bryce reached over and he took two cauldron cakes into his hand, and then he held out one for Rosie to take. He knew that she loved these, so or he believed. "Want one, wifey?" spoke Bryce, hoping that she would be able to hear him. He did not know if it was loud in here for others to not hear people speak without a microphone or something equivalent. Bryce devoured the one he had before taking another, while waiting to see if she would take the cauldron cake. He loved chocolate, and he thought that all of the sweets would be gone if he stuck around there for too long.
