Beatrice had only been at school for a week, but she missed skating. While it was technically the off season, she would still be at the rink conditioning and praticing her loops, something her coach had gotten on her about last season. But here she was, in a different country where the weather was backwards and she was supposed to just start a new life. They didn't even have her clubs. Was there nothing to debate each other over when it came to magic?

Bea stood near the lake, wondering if there was some kind of spell that could freeze it over so she could just skate. Her skates were upstairs in her trunk, but she really wanted to use them. Having snuck out as Maggie had found some new friends in the common room, Beatrice took a deep breath of the fresh air and closed her eyes, imagining that she was in the rink's ballet studio, and started doing some plies.

Rosalind loved the spring. It was only just the beginning, but already the daffodils were showing their yellow heads in the Hogwarts Garden. She wished she could see how her own garden was doing at home, but that was the problem with attending Hogwarts. She didn't get to see her flowers bloom, unless they were off-season blooms. But learning magic was obviously a lot of fun, so Rosalind let the matter slide.

She was going for a walk, having finished up at the gardens, and was wandering onwards somewhat absent-mindedly. The lake was a beautiful place, and at the front of it she spotted a girl who appeared to just be staring. Rosalind didn't recognise her as in her year, and she looked rather young. Maybe she was lost. Rosalind walked up to her. "Are you alright?" Rosalind decided to ask kindly.

Beatrice had started a tendu battement combination when she heard someone question. She opened her eyes - which was probably a good idea anyway, as she could focus on balancing better - and looked over a girl around her age. "Oh, yeah... I'm just practicing my footwork," she said with a smile, realizing that she probably looked a little odd just dancing in front of the lake.

Rosalind tilted her head in curiosity. "Your footwork? Like, for a dance?" Rosalind asked, very much focussing in on the girl. She did think it unusual to be doing that in front of a lake, but she reasoned that maybe the lake just inspired the girl or something. Rosalind wasn't much of a dancer, so she didn't know if this was normal. Perhaps it was just an artist's eccentricities, she'd read about those.
