Grunting in frustration, Lucy pulled up on a bludger just a moment too late to interrupt Ivy's shot with a good hit. She swung nonetheless, and groaned when the ball flew clean through the air Ivy had just occupied.

Ivy sped forward and was glad that the bludger skimmed past exactly where she had been. "nice try pinky. maybe focus more on your aim next time" she said as she scooted to the other hoops and made a shot. She let out a groan when it bounced off the edge of the ring, and was waiting for the response about her aim too. or maybe she needed to not speed quite so much on the shooting.

Lucy rolled her eyes at Ivy's taunting, tucking in close to her broom and racing after a bludger. She gritted her teeth as she swung, cackling in satisfaction as she saw the ball connect with its target. "Took your advice, ranga!" She taunted, swinging her bat back and forth in her hand.

Ivy took the ball heading towards the next hoops when she felt a thrwamp hitting the back of her broom causing her to spin in mid air. "Oof" she oofed. "Good shot". she then made her way to the hoops and took a shot. and was pleased that it still went in.

Lucy was chasing after the bludger to make another hit when she saw Ivy score, groaning softly. She pulled around and swung again, but in her haste her shot flew straight under Ivy's broom.

Ivy retrieved the ball and made her way back to the other goals. She heard a crack of a bat hitting a bludger and watched as the ball came towards her, though she was glad that it missed her. she continued towards the goal and threw the ball. she wanted to win so didnt try anything fancy as she threw the ball straight in through the hoop.

Lucy pulled her broom around at a sharp angle and zeroed in on a nearby bludger, swinging hard as she caught up with it. She wasn't quite in time to prevent Ivy scoring, but she felt a small thrill of pride nonetheless as she saw her shot hit the Gryffindor again.

Ivy took the quaffle in one hand and continued back. She had this her thigh was sore but she had this. she was just leaving the goal space when she felt a hard hit against her side and struggled to hold onto the broom and ball. She took a moment to steady herself "I have to admit you have a good arm on you she said before making her way to the hoops she slowed down and aimed knowing that her throw wouldnt be as good after the hit. She threw and smiled as it went through.

Lucy knew she should probably be genuinely annoyed by how well Ivy was doing, but there was something about watching her play so well despite no doubt being pretty badly injured that was impressive. Still, Lucy wasn't about to give up easily. She laughed lightly as she flew towards a bludger. "So do you!" She called out, right as she sent another bludger directly towards the Gryffindor.

Ivy took the quaffle and headed back to the other hoops the quaffle under one arm. she couldnt help but grin as lucy complimented her. "Thank you lucy that means a lot. almost as good as winning" she said. though her joy was short lived as she was hit hard on the back of the shoulder knocking the air out of her. wincing in pain as she tried to move. It looked like she would be playing right handed for now because she was not going to give up even if she may have injured her shoulder. she transferred the quaffle to the other hand and blinked away the tears that came with it before making her way to the hoop she threw the ball right handed, she hadnt practiced playing right handed with a painfull shoulder. and she felt as soon as the ball left her hand that it was off. and she was right. it missed the hoop. She slew forward before collectin the ball trying to blink away the tears of pain that were starting to run down her face as she willed herself to keep going. "you got this" she told herself. she knew she would have to be very lucky to get all ten goals at this point. but she would not give up yet.

Playing Beater meant becoming alright with the feeling of causing pain to your friends and classmates, but Lucy was starting to feel bad seeing how Ivy was beginning to struggle with her movements. Watching how determined the Gryffindor was to carry on made Lucy only feel worse for starting this challenge, and the hesitation translated into her playing as her next shot flew completely wide of her opponent.

Ivy was glad for reprise as she managed to make it to the othe hoop without getting hit. She didnt know how much longer she would be able to keep flying. She stopped close to the goal. And threw the ball gently, smiling as it went through. She was one shot closer to winning and over half way threre.

Lucy actually felt her heart skip a beat as she watched Ivy make another shot - it was impressive, and if Lucy had been a different kind of person, maybe she would have stopped and given Ivy the win right there, rather than causing her any more pain. But Lucy Holland was nothing but short-sighted, and as she made her next shot she winced as she watched it strike the Gryffindor, not sure if Ivy could handle it.

Ivy didnt know how she was still playing. She should stop but was not going to concede. She made her way back alongthe pitch. forcing her body to keep going. She got about half way when she heard a crack. She wasnt even able to change her course before the bludger slamming her forward into the ball she was holding. she felt that numb pain one gets from being hit in the face and the distinct taste of blood. she didnt have time to see how bad it was as with no hands on the broom she had trouble maintining ballance. she dropped the ball and used her good arm to steady herself and not fall off. She slowly lowered herself to the pitch. "Di Dink Dat is a Win Dor You" she called as she inspected her nose and found that it was not broken but was the source of the taste of blood in her mouth and the growing red stain on her top. She reached the ground and dismounted glad she was pretty close to one of the benches which she took herself to sit down on.

Lucy yelped as she saw Ivy begin to wobble, fear and regret slamming her all at once. She dropped her bat uncaringly and raced over to the Gryffindor, wincing at the sight of blood. She kept one hand on the other girl to stabilise her as she descended. "Sorry!" Lucy said weakly, helping Ivy down to the ground. "I wasn't aiming for your head, are you okay?"

Ivy felt a comforting arm around her and even that small gesture made her feel a bit better as she leaned into the ravenclaw for support and comfort. 'I'm gladyou wren' toing for by head. dat would 'ave been er bad shoc. dew go by back. die hi by nose or by boom" she said. the vibrations from the words making her nose throb. "baby i shu' go do hosital wing" she said the words weakening by the end of the sentence.
