Killian Borisyuk honestly could not wait until he went home for the holidays. It was near time for the exams, and he just wanted to see his girlfriend and their two kids. Kalia was recently born, and that made two kids total. Killian himself was not sure if he wanted any more than that. But if Courtney wanted more, he honestly would give them to her. He was wrapped around her little finger. Anything she asked for, he would do. Killian just had not worked up the nerve to propose to her yet. He had the ring. He had everything planned, but the moment that he was going to ask on their anniversary, she said that she was pregnant with their daughter, so he didn’t.

Now, their daughter was born and no longer a newborn necessarily, maybe he should consider it. If she did not get pregnant again that is. They had protection but nothing was ever 100%. Killian shook his head as he dismissed that thought. He walked in the professor’s common room to make himself some coffee that morning. He desperately needed it. The caffeine would help fuel him for the morning, and no one needed coffee more than he did when it came to dealing with teenagers.

There were only two sets of circumstances that lead Ignacio to head towards the professor's common room. The first was for each staff meeting, where he tended to keep to himself, trying to remain polite but undeniably caring more for his day to day work. It wasn't that he disliked socializing with his colleagues and in fact he felt the opposite, but there was something to be said about his dislike of meetings specifically, not wanting to cater to their formality but understanding the necessity in their hosting. The second circumstance was the reason he found himself in the common room that day, seeking out a cup of coffee in an effort to wake himself up, and linger in a sense of calm before the storm that would be his otherwise busy day as groundskeeper.

He wasn't the only groundskeeper at Hogwarts, and could decide between different tasks with the other groundskeepers sharing the role, but that didn't mean he wasn't human, and couldn't spend an entire day working without a cup of coffee to begin his morning. It helped too, to boost his mood when he spotted a friend to drink his coffee with, the friend that morning appearing in the form of Killian Borisyuk. Ignacio smiled, walking to where the coffee was brewed and picking up a mug for himself and later reaching for the pot of coffee. "Morning!" He greeted. "Feels like the end of term, doesn't it?" Ignacio added as more of an afterthought, a comment on his observations over the years of the way the moods of students and professors seemed to change when exams loomed around the corner. He was thankful to be removed from it, not a student worrying about grades nor a professor with the responsibility of the student's good grades on his shoulders.

Killian could have smiled when the coffee finally hit his lips but no one could see it from the floor, or from his cup. He gazed down when he heard someone greeting him, but he just held up a hand as if to say 'wait', as he practically chugged half of his coffee - might as well be a liter to anyone average sized. He was not about to talk until he had something like that in him. He lowered the cup and had one tired greeting, "If you say so." Killian was still dealing with the news of his siblings currently. All three of the triplets were now in New Zealand, and honestly, the islands were not big enough to have two, let alone three. He didn't count Kade or Kira since neither of them shared the giantess mother.

"The exams aren't what have me reeling right now. My younger brothers are living here now, and one just eloped and the other is involved with two women." Killian shook his head since he knew that many men often cheated. Women too. But no, these were in a poly thing. Killian could barely handle Courtney. He would lose his sanity if he had someone else on the side, and if Courtney asked for someone else on the side. "Kids are growing up a bit too fast. It won't be long until my son can carry his mother around."

Ignacio's usual reaction when someone mentioned their siblings was one of gratefulness by proxy, happiness knowing his friend had family nearby, from an ignorance at first in assuming everyone was as close with their families as he was with his own. However from understanding the few and far between aspects Killian had shared about his relationships with his family during the time they were friends, Ignacio gathered that all his siblings being in New Zealand wasn't a celebration at all. So instead of giving his usual congratulatory smile, Ignacio instead frowned slightly, entirely foregoing the small talk he had attempted to make over the cups of coffee over concern for Killian's situation. "Oh wow, one eloped and the other weaving a web? Sounds overwhelming." He said gently, shaking his head for a moment before he continued to pour himself a mug of coffee, adding a dash of milk and teaspoon of sugar he mixed in a moment later.

"I guess with your children, knowing your family is nearby doesn't make things easier." He added, picking up from his cup and sipping from it. He chuckled gently when Killian mentioned his children growing up too fast, at least that was something he could relate to with his own children. "They do, my girls will be here at Hogwarts next year." He added, almost not believing the words himself even if he knew they were true. It seemed like just yesterday they were toddlers, tottling around the backyard and small enough for him to carry on his shoulders, but now they were about to start their time at school and begin to properly grow up. It was bittersweet in a way, causing him to feel entirely proud of his daughters and the women they would become, but also sad knowing some of the happiest times of his life with his daughters being young would soon reach its finale. "Are you coping okay with everything?" Ignacio added shortly afterwards, thinking it would be best to check up on how Killian was doing among his children and sibling drama.

Overwhelming was a bit of an understatement. Killian had no idea what to think of it. His brothers were something else. Kade seemed to be doing quite well. Kira was doing well too. But Kaelan married into the Styx family, and Kieran had two girlfriends. It still... He could not even fathom it. Courtney was enough. She was more than enough. And that was saying something since she was more than half his size. "As long as none of them bring drama to me, I'll try not to worry too much." Killian shrugged his shoulders. "Actually, having them near can be a good thing. They help give my girl a break, watching over the two kids when I'm not there." Killian just hoped that neither of his brothers would have kids. Killian couldn't return the favor since he was at school, and he did not want that to fall on Courtney's shoulders.

"Next year? I often forget that you are older than me," Killian remarked as he took another hefty drink of his coffee. He would not be teaching Ignacio's kids for some time. He was an upper years professor and for a good reason. He was always worried that he would trip over one of the first years. They were just too short. Killian reached into his wallet and opened it up to see a picture of his girlfriend holding the newborn daughter. He held it toward Ignacio to have a look. "Honestly, I hate not being there with them now. And there are times I worry that Courtney is getting impatient with me not proposing yet." Of course, in a few short weeks, he would end up engaged, and before the next year, married.

Ignacio, at a loss of how else to support Killian simply began to sip from his cup of coffee while listening, nodding gently at Killian's mention his siblings could babysit which had always been something Ignacio was appreciative of with his own family. He had always felt that he wouldn't be able to trust anyone else with the safety of his girls. "That's good at least, you can have a chance to breathe sometimes." Ignacio commented, only then moving to sit at a nearby armchair as Killian elaborated further. He tried to ignore the comment of how much older he was than Killian as it made him feel twice as old, a feeling not helped when he was shown an image of Killian's partner and their baby. It felt simultaneously like yesterday but also an eternity ago since his own children were so small. "Oh wow, it's easy to forget how small babies are when they're newborn." He added, moving a hand to run it through his hair as he sat back in his armchair. "Well, how small babies are, even when they're part giant." Ignacio added as almost an afterthought, soon distracted by the mention of Killian proposing. "Are you thinking of proposing then?" He asked, a little surprised given Killian's previous mentions of not wanting to get married but also happy on his behalf. Marriage had changed Ignacio's life for the better, and he couldn't help but feel hopeful it would bring the same happiness to his friend.

Killian finished off his coffee, and debated on another one. He needed the caffeine to really survive in this place. He put his wallet back in his pocket, and summoned another pot of coffee to pour it into his cup. It sort of took the rest of it. "They won't be as big as my brothers and I were. Courtney would likely not have done as well pregnant." Killian also only trusted one healer when it came to Courtney's health, and that was his brother Kaelan. Even if the brother was one that rubbed him the wrong way. Kieran was great with potions. Killian's skills were, well, dark arts. And protecting what was his. As he sipped his coffee, Ignacio bringing up him proposing made him almost cough into his cup. Even if he thought of it, he still was somewhat scared of it. What if he was about to and she announced she was pregnant again? Or worse, say no? "Provided she's not pregnant again, I want to propose over the holiday break." Killian was nervous, though he did not know what would be worse. Another pregnancy or her saying no. The latter, probably. He loved his kids, but both times Courtney was pregnant, he was petrified for her safety.
