Kairi loved Halloween. She'd brought along an old costume she'd had, hoping that there would be the chance to wear it. She wasn't disappointed. She hurried down to the dance. She'd decided not to spend the night with Daiki- she loved him to pieces, but she was hoping perhaps to expand her social circle tonight. She was bouncing on her toes, and decided the first step was to burn off some energy. She started spinning around on the dance floor, holding onto the edges of her cape and twirling it with her.

Cyrus honestly hadn't really prepared a costume for today's feast, so with some sunglasses and a potion to make his hair longer he was trying to make the best of it. He crossed the dance floor in an attempt to get to a snack table, but then a girl twirled right in front of him and he bumped into her. "Oh Merlin." He said as he stumbled.

Kairi stumbled as someone knocked into her. She stumbled, but managed to regain her footing, turning with a bright smile to the person who'd run into her. "Hi!" She greeted, straightening back up and brushing a hand over her outfit. "Are you alright?" She asked.

Cyrus stumbled but managed to right himself without falling, thankfully. He grabbed onto the girl's arm for a bit and then quickly let go. "Hey, sorry." He said, feeling embarrassed. "I'm fine, just- didn't see you." He sighed. So much for being a cool guy today.

Kairi giggled. "It's alright," She reassured him. "I'm Kairi," She offered out her hand. "Nice to meet you! Do you want to dance?" She asked, thinking that could be a fun way to spend time with her new friend. Hopefully he wanted to be friends. Kairi liked to make friends through all sorts of means, and this was certainly a fun one.

Cyrus smiled at the girl, she seemed nice. He didn't recognize her, or her name, so he guessed she wasn't in his year. "I'm Cyrus, are you a first year?" He asked her. As she asked him if he wanted to dance, he hesitated. "I- I don't really... do that..." He admitted. He hadn't planned on dancing tonight. Especially not with a girl.

Kairi nodded. "I am! Hufflepuff!" She agreed, before giggling and starting to walk away. "Okay! Snacks then, come on," She agreed, skipping her way to the snack table, not minding how she spent her night now that she'd found someone to accompany her.

Cyrus nodded, seeming relieved when the girl didn't insist on dancing. It took him a moment to realize she was now telling him they were going to get snacks together. "Er, you don't have to- you can keep dancing." He told her hesitantly. He hadn't meant to interrupt what she was doing, and wasn't sure why the girl now wanted to hang around with him after he nearly knocked her over.

Kairi giggled, and reached back with the intent to grab his hand and pull her with him. "Don't be silly! We're friends now, so we should hang out. I can dance anytime." She giggled again, in a better mood than she had been- though she was really just a good mooded person in general.

Cyrus wasn't sure if he agreed that they were friends now, and he noticed the girl giggled a lot. He let her pull him along, surprised by how persuasive she was. "I- I see." He said, unsure if she was joking around. "Then- yeah, I guess time for snacks?"

Kairi hummed, skipping over to the snack table and looking over everything they had available. "It all looks so good, doesn't it?" She asked, brushing her hair back and picking up a decorated cupcake. "What do you think we should get?" She looked over to Cyrus with an easy smile.

Cyrus followed Kairi, still marveling at how this whole interaction had gone. She picked out a cupcake, and he hesitated as he looked at the table. He finally grabbed a cupcake as well, his with a big chocolate spider on top of it. "I think these look good." He said quietly, smiling.

Kairi smiled and grabbed a drink as well before moving to sit at a nearby table. "So, Cyrus," She gave him a big smile. "Tell me about yourself. I don't think I've seen you in class?" She sipped on her drink before biting her cupcake, humming happily as the flavor exploded on her tongue.

Cyrus followed Kairi to a table, glancing around to see if he saw anyone familiar around. It wasn't that he wasn't enjoying hanging out with this girl, but it di feel a little like a whirlwind. He sat down and looked at her as she asked him a question. "No, I'm a second year." He said, a little disappointed he apparently looked like a first year to her. "So you wouldn't have." He took a bite of his cupcake as well. "How are you liking Hogwarts so far?"

Kairi nodded. "That makes sense," She smiled. "I would have remembered meeting you." She gave him a bright smile. "What house are you in?" She asked, before giggling at his question. "I'm having fun," She admitted, munching on her cupcake. "I'm not sure what I've been expecting."
