Can't hardly wait for you to arrive

She wouldn't have minded going back up, it would have been infinitely saver than being so close to him here and now but her hands would not stop holding him and seemed to delight that he chose to stay put, sliding up his back as he moved closer to her.
"I like it here too" she whispered afraid to speak any louder incase her own voice took on the same husky tones as Sebastian's. A tingle ran right through her at the sound of his voice and then his lips sought hers once more and she gave herself up to the urgency behind them. They may as well have been standing there naked for all the clothing they had on them, her small bikini and his swim shorts didn't afford them much protection against the demands of their bodies.

His mouth moved along her chin and Trilby gasped, her hands moving along the perfect contours of his back to slide to his torso. Delighting in the feel of his body beneath her touch. She smiled as his mouth drew nearer, opening hers to welcome his lips eagerly and then he spoke. Trilby thought at first she had heard wrong, that he had surely said something else anything else but she knew he hadn't. Moving her face a fraction back so she could look at him, Trilby wondered a moment why she was so surprised by his declaration. They were perfect together, they were so right for one another being best friends an' all but did she love him?

That was a stupid question and she knew it. Of course she loved him, she loved him as sure as the sun rose in the sky and sank again. She did love him but she also knew that she loved Xavier as well. The two loves were completely different from the other but still she knew she loved them both strongly. It was unfair then for her to say anything, to tell him how she felt for him as well. Maybe when she could wake some morning and not feel anything for Xavier, she would be able to own aloud her feelings for Sebastian but not feeling anything for her ex-boyfriend was like cutting a vital limb or organ from herself and she was afraid that organ would be her heart itself.

Instead she did the only thing she could do, her lips pressed against his and what she could not say aloud, her gentle mouth told him with her kisses. Her hands slid up to his face, cupping it in her hands as her body molded itself against his. Pressed so completely against his they may as well have been one.

Until Trilby moved back a bit to look at him, Sebastian didn't realize that he'd actually spoken aloud. The idea of being in love with Trilby had been on his mind since they'd sat in that haunted alcove back before they'd taken their OWLs, but he'd never felt comfortable enough sharing his feelings with her for some reason. It probably had to do with the whole being best friends thing. Loving each other as friends was one thing and something Sebastian would readily admit to anyone, but loving each other as boyfriend and girlfriend was entirely different and Sebastian felt that admitting to his feelings would mean there was no going back. Sebastian couldn't help but to thank his lucky stars that Xavier and Trilby had broken up because if they hadn't, he and Trilby wouldn't be doing what they were doing. Whoa... he thought to himself as he let out a whoosh of air, unsure of how she would react now that she knew. Sebastian looked into her hazel eyes, his green ones apprehensive and unknowing as he willed her to respond in a way that wouldn't entirely break his heart.

When Trilby responded by kissing him, Sebastian couldn't feel too let down. To him, it was as good as a spoken declaration of her love and he was more than willing to accept it. Besides, as she pressed herself closer, Sebastian quickly became distracted by the promise of what was to come. He hoped that this time would be much different from what had occurred in the greenhouse over a year ago. Even though that experience had been good for him, he knew that what had happened after between him and Trilby had sort of spoiled it. The circumstances were different this time though and he hoped that it made a world of difference as far as he and Trilby were concerned. With a quick glance that ensured him that noone was nearby, Sebastian kissed her back. The seventeen year old was glad that he was a distance away from his home because what they were about to do certainly could not be done there.

Waves crash... :p

Sebastian leaned his back and arms against the rock, catching his breath. As he looked around, he was glad that there was no one on or near the lake. Not that he would have noticed. He'd been so enthralled by Trilby that Voldemort himself could have come back from the dead and performed a jig and he wouldn't have noticed. "Whoa" he said, his voice still low and then a smirk crossed his face. If he remembered correctly, it was the same thing he'd said the first time. That time could not compare...at all to what had just happened though. "You alright, Tril?" he asked, his green eyes lazily flicking over to her.

The kiss deepened as hands found skin, exploration and rediscovery ensued but this time it was different. This time there seemed a freedom in their actions, a yearning for what they knew could be. She heard gasps and moans of pleasure and only later realised that these had been from her, she had called out his name once and remembered later feeling relief that she had said his name and not Xaviers. Had Sebastian's touch been able to erase him completely from her at last? Trilby wasn't sure but for her sake, for their sake she hoped so. Her arms slowly released him as her body sagged in delicious abandon against the rock, satiated she turned her face to look at him and wondered had she done the right thing.

Would it not have been easier just to tell him how she had felt instead of showing him? It was too late now and she had no regrets about what had just transpired between them. Carefully she straightened the rather small bikini before looking at him again.
"I'm fine Sebby" she grinned, "better than fine."
A playful smile tugged the corners of her mouth as she nestled into him, her head resting against his shoulder.
"I think I'm ready for that song now" she smiled, and after a few moments of enjoying the peace that now consumed their bodies they swam slowly and lazily back to where their clothing was and Sebastian's guitar. Trilby didn't bother dressing herself a while but allowed the sun to dry her skin for her as she perched herself on a flat nearby rock and prepared to listen to Sebastian.

Sebastian rolled his eyes as he heard what she called him, but a smile crossed his lips anyway. How could it not? He had the most beautiful girl in the world leaning against him and she had just made him the happiest guy. Life was good. When she told him that she was now ready to hear the song, Sebastian nodded, his heart rate speeding up slightly. He didn't speak as he followed her slowly to shore where they eventually made their way to their things, the tension that had left his body coming back slightly.

As Trilby settled herself on a rock to sun for a bit, Sebastian's eyes traveled over her before he reached for his guitar and sat down beside her, giving her a nervous smile as he did so. This was a big moment for the seventeen year old. He'd played in front of other people before, but playing in front of Trilby was something entirely different because he cared what she thought. He knew that he was a good guitar player, but he wanted to hear that Trilby thought so too. What really was making him nervous though was that he planned on singing for her too. Sebastian didn't think he was much of a singer, but the music just wouldn't be the same without the words accompanying it. The teenager raked a hand through his hair, the drops falling onto his back.

"Um...so I've been practicing this for most of the summer" he began as he put his fingers in place. He took a deep breath and let it out in a whoosh and then began to strum. As the song began, Sebastian closed his eyes, too nervous to even attempt singing if Trilby were staring at him. At least with his eyes closed, he could pretend she wasn't. He opened his mouth and began to sing, losing himself in the music as he so often did when he played. As the song progressed and he got more into it, Sebastian opened his green eyes and laid them fully on Trilby, singing the song to her just as he'd intended when he had first began practicing. This had been the way he had hoped for her to find out how he felt, not while they had been making out in the lake.

When he finished, Sebastian let go off the guitar slowly and stayed silent for a moment. His fingers made their way to his earring, which he began to twist, which he always did when he was nervous. "So...what did you think, Tril?" he asked her as he anxiously licked his lips. "The suspense is killing me" he added with a soft chuckle.

She listened as he began to slowly play, she hadn't known what to expect really but as his voice filled the air around them and as his eyes looked directly at her, Trilby felt her heart soar. All thoughts of Xavier were erased completely, she had discovered that summer just how potent her feelings for him were but she had also discovered a need to squash them. To lock them away and never consider them again. Her feelings for Sebastian were just as strong and after their passionate moment in the lake and now his singing her quite possibly the most beautiful endearing song she had ever heard, Trilby felt as if she would burst with the love she felt for him.

Her slender fingers came up to cover her mouth as she sat there entranced by the music and his voice and when he finally finished and asked her what she thought, Trilby couldn't even answer at first. She felt rooted, completely grounded where she was, unable to move and then she was smiling. Her hands moved to push her gently from the flat rock as she came to kneel before him. Carefully she took the guitar from him and placed it gently down before turning back to him and placing her arms around his shoulders.
"I loved it ... I lo.. loved it so much" she had faltered as if feeling ready to say those words to him but stopped herself at the last second. Her lips found his and kissed him tenderly before she curled up on his lap, snuggling her head into the crook of his neck.
"You sing like an angel" she told him smiling, "my angel."

When Trilby slid over towards him, Sebastian hoped it was because she had thoroughly enjoyed the performance. He'd never been told a bad thing about his playing, but he still always felt butterflies when he asked anyone their opinion on his playing. It was something he hoped he would get over one day, but today, with Trilby being the one he'd asked, he knew that wasn't likely to be the case.

When she moved his guitar and put her arms around his neck, Sebastian felt the tension in his body slowly ease away. Trilby could always do that to him. He beamed as she told him that she loved it, not even noticing the momentary lapse in her speech before she was planting a kiss on his lips and curling onto his lap. Sebastian wrapped his arm around her waist and stayed silent, simply enjoying the comfort of Trilby's company. "I'm glad you liked it, Tril. An angel, huh?" he chuckled, his cheeks still red after they'd been sitting in that way for a few moments.

"We should start heading back now, Tril" he said with a kiss to the top of Trilby's head, waiting for her to rise so that he could do the same. He wasn't really in a rush to head back and leave the lake, but he knew that his grandmother was expecting them back soon. As he looked out over the lake, Sebastian was struck by how perfect the lake looked as the sun began to sink towards the horizon. It was still a ways off, but from its position now, the lake water seemed to sparkle. It was picturesque and Sebastian knew he'd remember the day for years and years to come.

She sat in the safety and warmth of his embrace for what was only moments but what felt like a lifetime. Trilby felt herself soar as if she had finally laid to rest the ghost of her feelings for Xavier. She would never be able to forget him, always know that she loved him but that ship had long ago sailed and now she knew that here with Sebastian was where she wanted to be. Needed to be. He was good for her, always had been. She would make a better attempt at being the girlfriend he deserved instead of coming up short all the time.
"Not just any angel" she smiled up at him, "my angel".

It was with some hesitation that she eventually stood up and began to pull her clothing back on but they did have to return to his home. She knew the rest of the summer vacation together was going to be amazing. Every day would be an exploration of each other and their feelings for one another. Every day would be filled with laughter and hopefully more of his singing. Sliding her feet into her sandals she smiled as she watched him get himself organized for heading back and again she promised herself that she would do right by him this time. That she would allow only her feelings for him to guide her. Reaching out her hand for his, Trilby told him she was ready. Her brown eyes smiled into his green and she mused that she really did feel ready at last.
