Marnie had figured hosting an Art Club event outside would be a fun change of pace, especially with today's theme in mind it had to be a font of inspiration, but between hefting a bunch of club supplies out to the lakeside and nearly dropping half of them in the water when she over shot it on the locomotor spells and the chill wind starting to pick up across the lake she was starting to have second thoughts. Maybe it would be just what everyone needed to get their ideas flowing, Marnie assured herself, wrapping her cardigan tighter around her shoulders as she turned to the gathered club members with a tight smile. God knew she'd been out of it enough this semester it felt like she'd barely left her room or the prefect's lounge. They could use a little bracing wind (and not rain, she thought, giving the clouds overhead a pointed look) to get things going.

"Hey everyone!" Marnie greeted everybody enthusiastically. "Isn't it cool out here, I mean I'm sure you guys come back the lake all the time I used to come by here and read and study and stuff more before my OWLs and then I dropped one of Penny's study guides off the dock and felt so bad I stopped studying out here but still there's so much inspiration to be gained from nature or even a change of scenery so that was what we wanted to make today's meeting about," she said quickly, rubbing her hands to together before gesturing expansively out at the water. "In that vein, for today's meeting we want you to work on something with the theme Underwater," she said dramatically, wiggling her fingers. "Take inspiration from the different point of view, go stick your toes in the water if you want, use materials from the beach, imagine how things might move or sound underwater, how the light and colours could look different or what food might taste or make you think of the ocean, anything you want, it just has to invoke underwater," she said, wiggling her fingers again for good measure.

Marnie herself had her eye on making some sort of mosaic collage out of several prime rocks from the shore but she made sure to give Lucy a minute to address everyone, already certain the younger girl would knock it out of the park running the club after she graduated and smiling brightly at her.

Lucy was excited. Sure, hauling all the supplies out to the lakeside had been a bit of a chore, but it was a fun idea and Lucy was all about fun ideas. She smiled at Marnie's verboseness - a trait Lucy was overwhelmed by at first, but now it was somehow comforting, familiar. It was going to be different without her. But Lucy was sure she could pull off next year.

"Yes, as Marnie said, this is all about the theme of underwater! And I know that we're by a lake, but you can also think about seas, oceans, and rivers if you feel like it. But before we begin, I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Marnie for the work she's put in. Even though I haven't known her that long, Marnie really took me under her wing this year and I'm grateful." Lucy paused to give a smile to Marnie. Turning back to the crowd, she made the exclamation: "Now go make art!" Lucy gave a little fist pump into the air.
