Bustin and Stuffin

Syrus really had to thank his sister for the costume he was wearing this year. She really came through at the last minute for him. His gear up ended up being one of his favorite movies in the muggel's world. A true classic, but he hadn't expect many to get the reference. Even those of the same age probably had no idea what Ghostbusters is. It didn't matter to him. Syrus wasn't afraid to admit he came for the goods, mostly. It's the only time of year he could get his hands on some many sweets without getting scowled at. He took advantage to rack on some sweets and maybe listen to some tunes. He still wasn't happy about not making on the team. Eating junk food made him forget all that nonsense.​

 

[Stella Finch]

Stella had always loved Halloween; what could be better than dressing up as something completely different and getting free candy out of it? Growing up in America where Halloween was more widely celebrated had made her a trick-or-treat expert by the time she'd come to Hogwarts, but since they were cooped up in a castle here they couldn't go anywhere. Instead the candy came to them and there were a bunch of activities for them to do in the great hall. This year Stella had admittedly run out of time for a really cool costume, so she'd opted for a go-to classic and dressed in an all black dress and worn fake vampire teeth. She dribbled a little fake blood around her mouth and made sure she looked as much like a vampire as she could. The second year walked around the castle and was surprised to see a Muggle costume amongst all the others and walked up to the boy. "Nice costume," she grinned at him, clearly excited to see a Muggle reference here. Though Stella was extremely excited to learn magic, she had to admit that she did miss the Muggle world a lot, especially when she heard things about the wizarding world not being too accepting of Muggles, which is why she was so happy to see this costume here.

Syrus stopped stuffing his face in another chocolate cauldron cake, and look down at his costume. "Thanks. I'm one of the guys from Ghostbusters. The original ones!" he enthusiastically explained. He peeked over from his loose, curly fro and noticed the girl was dressed up as vampire. "Nice teeth, cool blood effects." Syrus pointed at her face. It made him smile and display his own missing ones. Full front. "Wait a minute, so that means you're a muggel, correct? And you like old movies too?!" Syrus asked her. Oh he hopes that's the case and that she liked other muggel things too. He hadn't seen Alex in a while, the boy went AWOL. Matter of fact, a couple of his roommates were missing the fest. He wonder what the other Gryffindors were up to these days. Syrus thought over in silence as he pushed over a bowl of candy corn. "Want some?" He offered the girl.
