Urgh! I hate doing these things. There was a time I thought Id never have to write one of these and Ive done more than Id like to have done. But oh well!
Anywho, as some of you may or may not know I am somewhat active in my local Youth Service and am a Trainee Leader. Well one of the opportunities we Trainee Leaders get is the chance to go on an International Leadership Project where a number of us put our names forward and are selected or not selected for it. Well I was one of the lucky ones that got accepted
Pretty much what that means is that I go to go to the United States for two weeks to work in a camp near Cape Cod, Boston, with kids who have special needs. So far Ive worked really hard for this, doing fundraising and whatnot and I have gone through a fair amount of stress with leaders getting at me about money etc and at one point I was considering giving up because I didnt think it would be worth it at all but Ive gone through to the very end and no backing out now. Im glad Ive stuck to the end because I am soooo excited about this now. Ive known about going for months now and its only a few days away it seems so unreal but I cant wait.
Itll be a long day when I leave. Getting collect at 2AM Saturday morning/Friday night, driving down to Dublin airport, flying to London, then London to Boston and the camp is another few hours away from the airport and then there is the time change All in all I think Ill be travelling for about 20 hours then I get a day or two rest and getting to know the camp/leaders. So pretty much Im going to be over there as a Councillor in Training for two weeks and Im currently interested in doing the dance workshop for the first week, then if I like it Ill do it for the second week if not Ill probably do media, drama or water sports (depending on what its like from my friends point of view). Ive been told about the camp and seemingly its a lot of fun but also a lot of hard work, so despite what people have said, Im not going on a holiday. Two weeks with a couple of hundred children between the ages of 5 16....oh yeah thats a great holiday Although we do get a few days into the local town so we can go shopping and whatnot.
Despite me being excited/anxious about this trip I am a little sad as it does mean I have a whole two weeks without HNZ I am 99.9% positive I will have no computer/internet access when Im over there but Ive seen two leaders that are over there already update their facebook so I dont know Although Im going to say I wont have internet access and as such I wont be doing any of the following: [ul][li]RPs Im trying to get everything wrapped up this week before I go but for group RPs feel free to godmod my characters within moderation.

[li]Graphics: As of today my banner shop is closed because Im afraid that I might not get them done before Friday night. Although any currently up I will get completed and if anyone wants to post a request go right ahead and Ill see about getting it done and if not Ill do it as soon as I get back.
[li]Professor Duties: All classes will be marked and achieved on Friday and I will post exams. Although they will not be marked until I get back. Im sorry about this but you should have your final mark before the next semester starts, please dont harass me about them

[li]GM Duties: Well thats a given but its an important part of what I do on the site and as such I wont be doing it either. If I do by chance get internet access, itll be top of my list (after saying hi in spam of course )[/li][/ul] Thats pretty much it folks You arent getting rid of my just yet but I suppose I better get this up now to let it sink in for you all so you can get enough of me before I have to go
