Brand new to RP

[Audrey Luna Birch]

Brand new to roleplaying and HogwartsNZ, my character goes by the name Luna Birch but her full name is Audrey Luna Ophélia Birch.

I'm hoping I can get the hang of everything and I'm glad I have my RL best friend doing this with me as well as a new friend!

Still don't really know how everything works aside from lessons and a small RP for Luna and my friend's characters Kat and Davina.

I'm hoping to get a few friends from different house or even years for Luna.

Background:
She is half French/half New Zealander, I'm hoping to apply for pure blood status and I have built that into her story but if that gets turned down I will just make her half blood. Her family on both sides are very supportive and kind but she is closest with her French family and her cousins are like her siblings. She moved to New Zealand when she was 6 and her best friend is Kat Porter who is like a sister to her. They have been best friends since birth and their father's were friends and went to school together.

She is obsessed with Quidditch and her favourite team is the French national team, she even has a replica team outfit and had her broom stick painted white by her father. She loves to read and it doesn't matter what topic she has read every book she can get her hands on. She also likes making friends and spending time with her best friend Kat.

She was named after her great-grandmother who spoke 10 languages including mermish, gobbledegook and troll and she want to follow in her foot steps and become a multi-species translator. Although sometimes she with blurt something out in French she mostly speaks English.

She isn't shy and often says hello to everyone she walks past, if she had enemies she would probably just ignore them but if her friend had enemies she would be very protective of Kat and want to defend her at all costs.

Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not on often as I have RL university commitments but I'm hoping I will have enough time to get some plots going

Hi! Welcome to HNZ! I'd love to RP with you! And that website is so cute wow!

My character Zoe is in the same year/house as Audrey, so they'd be the most likely to meet Zoe is a bit of an oddball, she's all about conspiracy theories and aliens, and is into just about anything weird and wacky. I could see her and Audrey having some really fun conversations! There's an open thread in the Ravenclaw girls dorm here if you want to hop in and socialise with Audrey's roommates

I've also got one of my second years, Kauri, who's very keen to help first years find their way at the school, show them around and help them get acclimated, so if she'd be looking for a role model sort of student, or even just someone to give a quick castle tour, Kauri would do backflips to fill that role lmao

Alternatively as another older sort of mentor I've also got my character October, who's a third year Ravenclaw, and is also French-Kiwi. October's a bit more reserved and wary of people but she'd be happy to help Audrey settle in, and possibly tutor her if you'd like (mainly she'd just be happy to have someone she could speak French with!)

I have a first year Hufflepuff named Nixon who could totally roleplay with Luna! Like her, he isn't shy and often says hello to people he walks past. There's no reason why he and Luna couldn't get along so we should definitely rp them and have them become friends if you're interested!

I have Bradley here who you can RP with. They're in the same year so it's very likely that they would come across each other, though fair warning that Bradley is a bit of a.... prat. Okay no, he's a huge prat and doesn't get along with anyone. So I don't really think they would be friends, though I am always interested to just put them together in a thread and see what comes of that!
