Demi had spent a good few hours on her costume for the Halloween Feast, although if she was honest most of that was making sure that her hair and makeup were perfect, given that she was about to hang out with William. She still had yet to tell him that she knew of his family, nor that she felt a certain way about them, but Demi wasn't going to pretend she didn't still want to be William's friend. She was glad at that moment that her sisters weren't around to witness her getting ready, because unlike them Demi didn't usually care about things like that, and they would most certainly be able to tell something was different with Demi if they bore witness to the change of behavior. Once she had finished applying the bright red lipstick and attaching the fake vampire teeth to her own, she was quite proud of her work of art and headed out the Ravenclaw Common room.

The first year had already asked the Gryffindor to meet her there. It made sense since they were in different houses, and without the pressure of waiting on one another. She made her way down the stairs, occasionally admiring the other students and their costumes although she didn't think they hit quite the same as hers had. Once she was at the Great Hall, she was in awe at the sight in front of her. The hall had been transformed for the event, the tables moved and games were set up around the room for the students to participate in. Demi looked around for William, not knowing whether or not he was going to be dressed up either, and for all she could have guessed, she wouldn't have recognised him. Perhaps she should have been more specific about their meeting point. Heading across to the table with the food and drinks, she helped herself to a suspiciously green beverage. "Sorry," she said to a nearby ghost, careful not to tread on the sheet draped over the student as she moved out the way, and waited for her friend.

William was glad that whatever weirdness had fallen between him and Demi had passed, at least enough for her to invite him to hang out at the Halloween feast. He was looking forward to it and the fact he’d be there with Demi had made him want to put together a costume even if it was a little last minute. For the most part his costume wasn’t scary, or all that Halloweeny but he topped it off with some very pale, almost white make up on his face to give him a ghostly appearance and he thought it finished off his look perfectly.

It was a long way down from the Gryffindor tower to the Great hall but it was a trip he had taken a lot since the start of the school year. It was fun seeing people dressed up on his way down as they met up with friends or had little hangouts in various off shoot rooms before they headed down to the feast. There was a buzz around the castle that wasn’t there every day and he was enjoying being part of it.

William arrived in the Great hall and headed for the table where he got a drink, his throat suddenly feeling quite dry as he looked around for Demi. He grabbed an odd green and smoky beverage and sipped at it. It wasn’t unpleasant, that was about all he could say in favour of the drink but he kept drinking it. “Demi is that you?” He heard her voice apologising to a nearby ghost and it seemed to come from a girl dressed as a vampire. “Nice fangs,”

"Will I said wait up!" Tori had taken a little longer to the Great Hall than she had been expecting since her costume took a little longer to put together than she'd expected. She supposed that Will must not have heard her when she'd careened into the Common room to ask one of the older girls to help her with her wig and saw him heading out. She wanted to spend time with friends here that didn't consist of just Nox and Lumos as she knew she had to get more friends than just them. She liked Jasper well enough and even on occasion considered him her best friend, but she also did get quite tired of all the talk of gobstones and when the gobstones club had sorted itself out, after they'd got there he'd sort of ignored her, which had hurt. She'd considered leaving but thought that might make her look bad and didn't want that either, so she'd stayed despite her feelings.

"Hi Demi!" She said, assuming Will was right and this was the same girl. She'd seen her around quite a bit now and so she was glad to keep finding familiar faces she could get to know more about. She didn't want to be in the position where she only knew three or four people, but sometimes that could happen. She was determined to have a better time at school than her parents did, and even after talking to Professor Potter she still wasn't wholly convinced. "So we have a Ghost and a Vampire and then me, I don't think I match very well, maybe I should have been her as a ghost." She'd been dead for ages by now, probably, though Tori had never bothered to check.

The Ravenclaw turned her head when she heard a familiar voice speaking her name, and a large grin appeared on her face as she recognized Will. "Hey!" It was a good job she was wearing a lot of make up, otherwise William probably would have seen the red flush that now tinged her cheeks. She chuckled at his comment, "Thanks! Makes it a but hard to talk but it's worth it!" she added, stepping closer to her friend. It was a little bit weird to know he was James' nephew, but Demi had told herself for the time being she'd stop thinking about that. "Are you wearing face paint too?" she asked, gently swiping a finger against Will's cheek to see if any residue came off, "You are, I knew it!" she giggled again.

She was about to ask William more questions about himself when she heard another voice behind her, and Demi looked over her shoulder to see Tori walking towards them. Her smile faltered slightly as she realised how difficult it was for her to ever spend time with Will on his own, that he always seemed to have another stray Gryffindor following after him. "Oh hi Tori!" she was friendly towards the girl, although it was noticeable she was more withdrawn the moment the duo had become a trio. Demi looked Tori up and down but wasn't quite sure what she'd come as, "What are you dressed as?" she asked, wanting to compliment the costume if only she could understand it.

William laughed when Demi reached out and rubbed her finger against his cheek to see if he was wearing face paint. He was just glad she didn’t call it makeup, because it definitely wasn’t that. “Yeah! I figured it would give me a nice ghostly undead look, what do you think?” He smiled and put his hands up in front of his face as if he was framing them.

He heard Tori’s voice over his shoulder calling him again and acting like she had been chasing him all the way from the common room. Will liked Tori, he enjoyed spending time with her and he considered her a friend, but he had been hoping to spend time alone with Demi. That apparently wouldn’t be the case. “Sorry Tori, didn’t hear you, nice costume though…what is it?”
