Rosemarie had been shocked to see Hester at the sorting ceremony. Learning that you are magical had been a big shock for Rosemarie. Seeing Hester at the sorting might have been a bigger one at first. Hester and Rosemarie attended the same primary school in Dunedin. Rosemarie secretly hoped that Hester would get sorted with her, having an alley at this school sounded nice. Unfortunately Hester was placed in Gryffindor and Rosemarie in Hufflepuff. It didn't really matter that much before sorting they had agreed on meeting each other, there was so much to catch up on.
Even though they weren't best friends at school, Rosemarie did like Hester. Rosemarie still held her pot of Cosmos bipinnatus with her, the pink flowers smelled so nice. Rosemarie couldn't wait to explore the outside of the school. She wanted to see the gardens and the greenhouse in person. Hence why she wanted to meet Hester in the courtyard. Rosemarie walked outside and sat in one of the giant arches. Smelling the grass and the plants that were growing there.
