Hello there folks! Welcome to another Bi-Weekly Update from yours truly. Now, it has been a busy time on HNZ with lots of stuff going on right now. So without further ado, let's get right to it.
Quidditch
Ravenclaw has won the first game, and Gryffindor have now won the second game. Even if your character isn't on the team you can still post your reactions of the game from the stands, here. You can also join the discussion about Quidditch Here and give your thoughts on the games so far and show excitement over the next one.
Sorting
Sorting has now closed
. It's been pretty awesome hasn't it! Hopefully you managed to get your character sorted. Here are the final numbers in each of the houses. If you missed the sorting this year, you'll wait until next year 
.
The final numbers from sorting are as follows:
Slytherin - 13
Gryffindor - 15
Ravenclaw - 16
Hufflepuff - 15
Total sorted: 59 and 4 transfers
Clubs
Club recruitment is underway, is your character interested in joining a club? We have a whole amount of clubs available for you to join. Specifically the Brotherhood, Heta Omega and the Hogwarts Monthly are all recruiting currently, you can find links for each of them Here for the Brotherhood, For the Heta Omega and Here for the Hogwarts Monthly. The Arts club is currently having it's first meeting of the semester here. Come join in all the fun!
Birthday Fun
HNZ just turned 10! Unless you hadn't noticed HNZ is celebrating it's birthday, you can read the announcement Here. We have plenty of fun things going on, try to figure out which statement is the lie in Two Truths and a Lie with Staff. Have you signed the Community signature or joined the Roleplay Roulette? There are plenty of things to do, so be sure to check it out, participate and have a lot of fun! The Roleplay roulette and the werewolf game may be closing the sign ups fairly soon, so you should sign up before it's too late.
OOC Superlatives
OOC Superlatives are currently underway, be sure to head over and nominate who you want. OOC superlatives are really awesome and it'll be great fun for all those who take part and the nomination stage is just as important as the voting stage so don't forget to get your nominations in before it closes. So head Here to Nominate!
Domain Name
As you may have noticed that HNZ has a new domain name, we have switched from hogwartsnewzealand.com to hogwarts.nz. Don't worry the links with the old domain, those will redirect to this new domain here. This has been a long time coming and we're all really happy about it! It is really awesome so enjoy it with us!
Holiday Forums
The holiday areas are now closed to students so folks will have to wait until they are next open before being able to finish off topics if they had any in those areas. The Brightstone weekend has however begun, so students can now head to Brightstone for the weekend. It'll be a good time for the students to mess around. Perhaps buy some sweets or head into the Borely Mansion!
