Wrapping up Y17
Y17 has wrapped up, and with it came group promotions. Wrap up any Y17 roleplays you have going on and be prepared to move on to roleplays set during the holidays and Y18!
Additionally, a quick reminder to recent HNZ grads - if you don't want your character placed in the 'Members' group be sure to submit a group change request form!

Holiday Forums opened!
Student characters can now post in all the usual holiday forums! Get your roleplay on with family and friends who you can't roleplay with during the usual school year!
Hiring Professors
As is the custom - between semesters and school years HNZ is Hiring Professors!
If you have a character that you think could teach either Charms Years 1-4 or Astronomy Years 1-4 - apply now!
Be sure that this is something that you can devote a fair chunk of time to, though - being a professor is not as simple as it sometimes seems.
Birthday Celebrations!

[li]You may have missed that HNZ is turning 8![/li][/ol]
Yes, indeed! Eight years on the Internet. If HNZ were a chimpanzee it might have children already! Or, if it were a person, it'd be in the third grade. Our little HNZ is growing up so fast.
We're celebrating HNZ's birthday with lots and lots of fun stuff, including an ongoing Werewolf game!

OOC Superlatives: Nominations Closing
OOC Superlatives is one of the many things happening with the Birthday - but nominations will be closing in a little over a day!
If you haven't made your nominations yet - get at it!
Welcoming New Members!
As usually happens around this time of year: HNZ is getting a lot of new users!
So why not take a moment to give them a big HNZ welcome to the board and offer a helping hand, or a new roleplaying partner?
If you're new to HNZ: Take a moment to introduce yourself to our community, if you haven't already! Most of us don't bite, and those of us who do don't like the taste of new members anyway.
OOC Forums Rearranged
The Graphics Requests forum along with the Fan Fictions & Alternate Roleplay section have been moved to their new home as subforums of the On Topic Board.
The staff feel that this move makes sense, given the different purposes of "Off Topic" (not HNZ/roleplaying related) and "On Topic" (HNZ/roleplaying discussion, etc.). As Fan Fiction/Alternate roleplay usually involves the characters of HNZ and graphics requests are specifically for accounts on HNZ, we hope you'd agree that this move was more than appropriate.
So don't worry! You didn't go crazy!
Applications Temporarily Closed
Because it's sorting time, we have temporarily closed larger application types (special abilities, pureblood, plot requests, etc.). Once sorting slows down and things get back to normal on the site, it'll all reopen again!
Your patience is, as always, appreciated.

After getting tired of seeing his best friend, depressed, lonely and even drunk. Enzo decides to invite Faxen for a vacation away from work and away from stress she's been dealing with. In hopes to try to mend her broken heart and help her move on, Enzo brings her to The Bahamas, also to a resort his uncle owns to enjoy and have fun. During their stay Faxen gets jealous, as Enzo seems to be playing his part of being a flirt. He then notice it and take action to make Faxen happy but he doesn't know that there's something more in stored for him other than making his best friend move on from her former love.

They know each others names but they don't really know each other. Yerik Rhys Price and Sara Moon are both Co-Captains for Quidditch, both are members of the Hogwarts Monthly and both are Ravenclaw prefects but it is only now that the two have an actual conversation. Inside the Ravenclaw's Common Room the sixth year noticed Sara Moon and decides to talk to her for the first time, except during the try-outs and Quidditch Game. As their conversation continues, Yerik learns a few things about Sara and the same goes to her as well.

Twins Kelsey and Kieran meet up after exams after not being able to see each other for around a week. They get into a discussion about Classes, Holidays and Dropbears?[/li][/ul]
[ul][li]Werewolf continuing to unfold!
[li]A poll of epic proportions!
[li]Headboy, Headgirl, and Prefect promotions!
