Welcome to another bi-weekly update! It's the end of the IC year and there's a few things to share so let's get right to it.
Quidditch
Let's start off with a fun little update on our last quidditch game of the IC year! For anyone who has been living under a rock: Beauxbatons took on Slytherin during the international game and boy, did those teams fight for the win! I reckon it was one of the longest games we've had in a little while (but correct me if I'm wrong). The bludgers were all around with both Beauxbatons and Slytherin players getting knocked out of the game. Eventually, Beauxbatons' alternate seeker managed to catch the snitch and end all suffering
Bye Bye Y44
It's the end of another schoolyear and I don't know about you guys but it always feels bittersweet having one of your kids graduate. That pain could be quickly eased with sorting right around the corner though! By now, all students have been promoted to their new groups and graduates have been moved to the graduate group, leaving them some time to finish up rps around the castle or post in the graduation ceremony.
The points were making things interesting for a while, but with a strong end of the year point surge it were the Slytherins who have managed to secure the house cup yet again!

End of the Year - OOC
The end of every IC year always comes with a mix of IC and OOC factors that are both equally fun and important. The end of the year announcement brings all of that together in a summarized way on a single page, so we encourage you to read it through and make sure you don't miss anything!
Sorting!
It's the moment we've all been looking forward to: sorting is up and running! Check out all the information you need on sorting right here. Not sorting anyone this year? Head straight for the sorting ceremony to read about all of those cute new faces that'll be entering Hogwarts soon!
Applications Closed
With sorting just around the corner it's a busy time for the admin, which means applications (such as the ones for Purebloods or special races) have been closed for a little while. Keep an eye on the announcements topic to see when they've opened up again!
MESSI Application
With most applications closed for a little while there is a very special one that has opened up: it's the MESSI re-launch. MESSI stands for the Most Extraordinary Society for Social Interaction, a group from the old days of HNZ that is now being revived! All the information you'll need about this re-launch can be found in the topic right here.
Professor Position
There's been a new opening for a professor position! We are currently looking for someone to take on the role of teaching Defence Against the Dark Arts, years 1-4. Professor positions can take up some time but are equally rewarding, so if you feel like you're up for it check out the application page and give it your best shot!
Sorting!
With sorting right around the corner we as staff would like to put out a little reminder that this means there could be some new names popping up on the forum. Should you see anyone new posting be nice to them, as per usual, and please redirect them to staff if needed. Many thanks!!
