Gemma saw a bludger coming right at her and saw the perfect opening. She swung her bat and knocked the bludger towards the chasers but it went off course and hit their keeper instead. @Xenia Nikolaidou

Eren had been looping back to try at the goal again but between his recent bludger hit and then seeing Xenia take another one right after he figured no one could blame either of them for how he fumbled the shot at the last minute.
 
Gemma didn't see anymore bludgers so she hovered near Hugo just in case.
 
Xenia gave a sharp cry as the bludger knocked her stomach, winding her to the point she had to take a moment to keep herself from falling. She didn't stop the quaffle, but it didn't make it to the goal. Short of breath, she grabbed the quaffle and paused for a little bit before she threw it back. Definitely needed some underrobe padding.
 
Gemma nearly missed the bludger as it flew past her head. Thankfully she was still able to hit it in time and it soared across the pitch and hit Ava. She figured the other beater could take it. @Ava Hastings

Xenia could see that everyone was getting a bit beaten up, but that was kind of the energy they needed if they wanted to beat the Hogwarts team.
 
Gemma was hoping she was on a roll again but when she swung her bat she missed and frowned.
 
Eren winced at the noise Xenia made after the bludger hit, hanging back for a moment until she threw the quaffle back in so he could grab it. "Don't need a break do you?" He teased her, raising an eyebrow before taking a slightly longer run up to the hoops.
 
Xenia rolled her eyes, focusing on the quaffle. "It would take more than that to stop me," she called in response, familiar defiance coming back to her.
 
Ava flinched at the impact of the bludger Gemma had send her way when she hadn't been quick enough to hit it away from herself.
 
Even with Xenia potential slowed down from the bludger hits, Eren was still struggling to get past her, letting out a frustrated noise as his shot missed again. He had all the power he needed but he still hadn't quite figured out the stupid accuracy part.
 
Florence got a hold of the quaffle as the ball was thrown back in, making a loop towards the hoops.
 
Xenia wasn't sure if she should ease up to give the chasers a chance to practice aiming but she also wanted to be on top of her own game. She kept an eye on the quaffle as their captain took a hold of it.
 
When Flo was close enough to the hoops, she threw the quaffle as hard as she could, determined to at least get a goal. Flo watched as the quaffle made it through the hoop and smiled happily.
 
Xenia was a little dumbstruck to see the quaffle go past her. Maybe she was getting worn out. Or maybe the captain was just that good. She gave the sides of her face a quick slap to refocus as she grabbed the quaffle and tossed it back into play.
 
Gemma raced ahead as she saw another bludger and swung for it. She grinned as she made contact and only felt a little bad that Hugo was the closest person to aim at. @Hugo De Rosier

Ava hit the bludger she had been chasing in no particular direction.
 
Élise was going great and she spotted another bludger closeby. She wacked it towards @Gemma Thorne
 
When Florence noticed no one else was going to take the quaffle, she swooped in and caught the quaffle, making a loop towards the hoops.
 
Xenia had been stretching and keeping herself moving on her broom but refocused when she saw Florence coming back with the quaffle.
 
When Flo was close enough to the hoops, she threw the quaffle towards the hoops as hard as she could, determined to get another goal, though she was a little disappointed that she had missed this time.
 
Ava hit a bludger and send it flying for @Élise Moreau.

Xenia was glad not to let two in a row go through and threw the quaffle back into play. She scanned the field to see what was going on with everyone else while she had a moment.
 
Gemma tried to knock the bludger that was coming at her away but she missed and it hit her squarely in the side. She took a deep steadying breath as she continued to keep flying.
