Beauxbatons Quidditch Practice Y41 S2

Deciding he didn't want to risk the first goal going to another chaser, Eren changed his mind, swooping in to grab the quaffle as Xenia threw it back in.

Gemma kept moving and looking for bludgers.

Xenia was brought back to reality by Eren approaching with the quaffle again. He really made her work hard in training but she appreciated it. She wouldn't improve without tough competition, even if from her own teammate.

Eren moved to score before deciding better of it, swerving at the last second to try and fake Xenia out, keeping a tight grip on the quaffle. Maybe he could trick her into clearing the hoops and he could get a clearer shot.

Xenia should have expected the feint, but somehow she didn't, practically diving to stop it before realizing the quaffle wasn't coming. She swore under her breath in Greek, knowing she'd fallen for an obvious trick.

Eren grinned as Xenia fell for his feint but the satisfaction was short lived. He lobbed the quaffle at the now open hoop, groaning as it bounced off the rim of the hoop and down, failing to make it through. "Seriously! Bullsh*t," he muttered.

Gemma spotted a bludger and swung her bat but sighed when the shot went wide and hit absolutely nothing.

Eren crackled his knuckles, scowling as he shifted his broom to wait for the quaffle to be thrown back into play.

Xenia was a bit shocked that the quaffle didn't make it through. "Yeah, that's...bullsh*t," she agreed, swooping over to pick it up and toss it back out. Stopping people from scoring was her job but she had to admit, he'd earned that one. Plus she wanted her own team to score too.

Eren clicked his tongue as Xenia agreed with him, grabbing the quaffle again as she threw it back in. "Don't start going easy on me now," he warned her as he looped back to the hoops.

Xenia slapped her cheeks, drawing in a deep breath and squaring up. "Never," she grinned, now mentally preparing for trickier shots.

Gemma let out an annoyed huff when she missed again.

Eren tried for a straight shot at center hoop, hoping Xenia would expect another feint and over compensate. It didn't work out though, and she caught it cleanly, almost embarrassingly so if Eren cared about that sort of thing. "That was a test, you passed," he said with a sniff.

Gemma started to get frustrated when she missed again.

Xenia managed to watch the quaffle, not Eren this time, catching it and sending it back out into play. "Appreciated," she replied. She was getting a bit of a workout, but tried not to let that show.

Eren was gratified to see Xenia at least looked a bit winded if nothing else, hanging back as he watched to see who might take the quaffle. Quidditch had been pushed to him as a way to get his excess energy out, and while he was definitely feeling a burn, he was more riled up than ever to get past her and score a goal.

Élise knew how much bludgers could hurt. Especially during practices the bludgers weren't really aimed at the normal targets. The bludger rammed her side and it did hurt. The only thing she could do was wacking it away. She did manage to hit @Eren Beste

Gemma decided to take a break for a moment and play defensively for a while since she hadn't been having any luck.

Eren had his eye on Xenia and the quaffle so he completely missed the incoming bludger until it collided with his back, nearly making him bite his own tongue with the force as his broom bucked. "Oi! Watch your aim," he called out to Elise, rubbing fruitlessly at his back to try and ease the ache.

Xenia winced in sympathy, her own shoulder aching from the earlier bludger hit. She carefully rolled it, keeping the blood flowing.

More determined to score now, Eren tried to shake off the bludger hit, grabbing the quaffle from Xenia with a defiant huff.

Xenia readied up, keeping her eyes on the quaffle.

Eren rounded on the hoops again, wincing as he moved his arms to throw, the twinge in his back hampering the shot more than he'd expected and it fell short of the hoops.

Xenia flew forward to grab the quaffle, tossing it back out before moving back to the hoops. "You alright there?" she called. It wouldn't do if her biggest rival was out of action, after all.

Eren waved a hand vaguely in Xenia's direction, brushing off her concern. "Just need to fly it off," he said with a huff, swooping forward to grab the quaffle and do just that as he took a loop of the pitch. "Someone needs to keep you busy after all," he called over his shoulder to her.
