Bang Bang Baby

Crispin stiffened and stood there with fists clenched at his sides as Sumner literally stole his date from his arms. What was the git playing at? His eyes narrowed and cut to Andy before he heaved a breath and walked up to her. His eyes connected with hers and he did not hold out his hand, he did not ask, he brought her into his arms with decisive movements. He'd not ever pose a question to her again to be rejected. At first he looked everywhere but at her as they spun slowly on the dance floor until he could not take it anymore. His head turned, bent and blue black eyes became lost in gold. "Are you enjoying your evening?" His words were stiff, almost formal, yet his eyes burned intensely as they touched upon hers.

As the music changed, yet another slower song, she found herself being pulled away from Crispin and into Sumner's arms. She couldn't help but laugh. "Sumner Reine, you are incorrigable!" she said as he grabbed her butt and pulled her close to him. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she smiled up at her friend. "So is that your gun or are you just happy to see me?" she asked, waggling her eyebrows at him and sticking her tongue out just a bit at him -- just enough to torment him.

Andromeda could not figure out for the life of her what Sumner was up to as he mentioned about swapping partners. At first she thought he was mad realizing who exactly it was they were swapping with. Her heart pounded loudly because finally it could pound again, could do a tribal damn warfare just for the boy who was coming to claim her but as he put his arms around her she knew he wasn't. Crispin would never claim her or put himself out there for her again. Sumners words rang in her ears. The lioness to his snake. The sound of her pulse was loud in her ears, she was in his arms. A place she didn't think she would be again and because of her scanty costume he was touching her, skin on skin. To close her eyes and enjoy the dance would be simply too much, instead she was all tense in his arms when all she wanted to do was be like putty in them.

As the song progressed she glanced now and again to look at his face but he seemed intent on looking everywhere but at her. Her mouth opened and closed like a fish wanting to say something but not knowing where to start. He turned then to look at her and her eyes widened. Was she? Was she enjoying her evening?

"Yes" monosyllables, you're doing great girl it's better than a single letter at least she chided herself, "are you?"
Wow and a comeback question, she felt she was on a roll now. Baby steps, tiny iddy biddy baby steps which was hard when all she wanted to do was not look at the mouth that formed the words, not want to kiss it as much as she did. Amber eyes stared into his beautiful mismatched ones and wished it was all different between them.

Sumner nipped at her tongue, his teeth clicking together centimeters from it. "Not so sure it's safe to tease me tonight love." He grinned and ran his hands up and down her back, chuckling in his throat when she grabbed his hand to keep it from straying too low again. "I'll behave." He tilted his head back a fraction and looked down at her while a slow grin spread across his face. "What would be the difference?" He executed a turn with them and chuckled as he brought her close again. "Trying to make the natives restless?" His eyebrows waggled, then his eyes flicked from Blake somewhere near them, back to her blue eyes.

"Good." Crispin couldn't look away, he felt drawn in, captured by her web just by being in her vicinity. Unknowingly his hands became caressing, thumbs rubbing small circles into her bare skin. He could smell her lotion and the scent that was all her, all Andy. He wanted to pull away, walk out of the hall and never look back. Yet he tortured himself instead and felt himself weakening. No. He had promised not to bother her, how was she here in his arms again? It seemed no matter what he did, until he graduated he risked being near her.

"Are you happy Andy?" Quietly asked, eyes serious, face benign. If she told him no, he would damn the consequences and try again. Sweep her off her feet and carry her away. Yes...then he'd not bother her again unless fate decided different.

She could see the tiny flecks in his irises from being so close, could feel the ecstatic sensation sweep through her as his thumb rubbed over her flesh. She was sinking fast, drowning in him and this time she wanted it. Felt ready for it, ready for him. Andromeda didn't know what had changed but something had. The trace of a smile lit up her features as she realized she had the courage at last to tell him. His beautiful voice asking her if she was happy and she was. Here in his arms, for the first time in so very long she was happy and it was all because of him.

"Yes".

Lily laughed as Sumner nipped at her tongue, a bit shocked that he would do that in front of everyone. She was comfortable here, in his arms, dancing as if no one was watching them when in reality, many eyes were turned their way. There were so many rumors about them that students wanted to see what was true and what wasn't.

Realizing the one set of eyes she had hoped would be on her tonight were watching, she stroked her hand along his cheek, pressing herself in to Sumner. "Of course I am. If he reacts, I know he still has feelings. If not, well, then I will deal with that too." Then as a wicked smile took over, she stretched up along his body and whispered in his ear, "I prefer no gun." She lightly breathed on his ear, then moved back to a respectable position as the music began to change again.

There must have been too many couples too close since the beat picked up and a rock song took over. Lily's body began to move to the music, her hips sashaying back and forth and arms raising and lowering to the music. She spun around on her heels and pressed her back up against Sumner like he was a pole.

Sumner laughed and followed her like a lemming. How could he not, when she moved against him like that? He broke out, feeling the music, letting it consume him and in turn he set out to consume Lily. She played with fire; Sumner's blood was pumping thick and hot. There were three things that brought out an almost feral nature in him; Quidditch, girls and fighting. He glued himself to Lily's back, grabbed her wrists and brought them behind his neck, his large hands spanned her small waist, head pressed to hers. Let them stare, let them talk. He didn't care.

Twisting his aviator's cap around in his hands, Blake furiously watched as his ex-girlfriend and one of his bloody roommates danced, hands all over each other. First Ford, and now this? Lily's claws were all over whatever Slytherin boy she could get. wh0r3. Blake had felt jealousy stronger than what he felt now, but all those other times he relieved himself of the pain by running away. It was too late for him to run now; he had already made his appearance and was also escorting Kat. Though he wanted nothing more than to be selfish, he knew that he and Kat were almost in the same boat, having to watch the person they loved with another.
Lily's costume was another issue. One that had Blake wishing he could tether himself down so that he did not walk up to her, throw her over his shoulder and take her away from all the prying eyes. He wanted nothing more than to sweep her up again like he used to, and carry her wherever, no matter, as long as they were together. Blake would probably have given in to the desire of the girl he loved, but it was his ego that kept him still, kept his head just slightly above the water. Wasn't it just last weekend that Lily had been prowling around with Ford?
Anger, rage, jealousy, desire, lust, love. Blake could hardly wrap his head around the fact that Lily was here with yet another person he had considered a friend, let alone fight desperately to stop himself for doing something he would regret. Blake could only handle so much before he knew he would snap. But it was Kat's cool hand in his that kept him from exploding. And it was her words that brought some sense and purpose to his presence at the stupid feast. The void expression on Blake's face darkened to a smirk as he tore his gaze away from Lily. Raising her hand to his lips, Blake winked. "Care to dance, Katalina?"
Blake led Kat to the floor without another word, and as the song changed over to something more upbeat, Blake placed his hand on Kat's lower back and held her closer to him as the music took over. With Lily, Blake had always been so tame, so careful to make the right move. But Kat gave him the comfort he needed to let loose, and hoping that Lily was watching every move, Blake couldn't help but hold nothing back. It was easier than he thought, as he let the desire he felt growing for Kat as their bodies moved together take control of his sanity.
But just as Blake was beginning to actually have a good time with someone who helped him forget about how f*cked up his life was, his eyes found Lily with her back against Sumner's chest, her wrists clinging onto the back of his neck like nobody else was watching.
"You little slut!" Blake shouted before he could stop himself, all rhythm and beat gone as he dropped his hands from Kat. "Ford wasn't enough of a bang, eh?" Blake's anger had just been unleashed, and there was no telling where things would lead from here.

Lily felt her eyes close as Sumner brought her hands up to his neck. She relaxed against him, moving with the music. She no longer cared who saw her with her friend's ex-boyfriend. Sumner has become one of her best friends in this world and it did not matter to her if the rest of the student body thought it was indecent. She was having fun and she deserved it.

Suddenly, her enjoyment came to a crashing hault. The voice that haunted her dreams was screaming at her, calling her a slut. Merlin, how does he know about Ford? What is he doing? Following me? She opened her eyes and took in the anger in Blake's face. "What does it matter to you?" she stated simply. "You let me go. You had a chance to take me back and passed, Blake." She dropped her hands to her side and walked the few steps between them. "And Ford? Well, the walls were shaking." She knew it was a low blow, but right now she didn't care.

Sumner moved with her then decided he should probably rescue his date. He was about to tell Lily before the song finished when his head jerked up. What the bloody hell had Blake Zepline been yelling at her? He stepped back as Lily moved forward, then his hands fisted at his sides and he was beside her in a flash, ready to call out that ass hole. She didn't deserve that kind of treatment and no way in hell would he let it continue, one way or another.

Emerald eyes glistened black. "Well clearly it was damned right of me not to take you back! It is so easy for anyone to say they love someone. But its not what you say, it's what you do. Merlin knows I've wasted myself down to nothing loving a tramp like you." Blake felt his body shaking with fury as he glared back at the beautifully blue eyes that held nothing but malice for him now, so different from before when they used to be so warmly welcoming. Yet, Blake expected that he reflected just as much change in his eyes too.
At Lily's smart remark, Blake felt his whole heart implode. For a second, Blake was rendered by shock. Was this who Lily had become? Was this who he, Blake, had become too? What had happened to the undeniable love they once shared? Cold stone, Blake felt his insides numb. Lily was hitting him below the belt now.
"Well, if the walls really were shaking Lily, I can say for a fact that it had nothing to do with you," the words left his mouth faster than his mind could process. But before he could stop his anger from goading more snide remarks from him, it was already said and gone. "It must have been just as easy for him to make you bend over like the little b1tch you are."

"Loving me? LOVING ME?" Lily screamed out at Blake. "Are you KIDDING? If you actually loved me you would have forgiven me! I made one mistake and I owned up to it! YOU made your choice to leave me in the Tower. From that moment on, you no longer have any claim on me." Her eyes hardened against him, then he opened his mouth again.

Before she could stop what she was doing, her hand flew out and slapped Blake across the face. "YOU are calling me a b1tch? Really? Its none of your business what I do with Ford or anyone else for that matter. You left. Something I think you should do now." Lily lifted her chin and stood tall. Like hell she was going to stand by and let him call her a slut and a b1tch. Her fist went to her hip and her feet took a stance full of atttitude. "Or you can just stand there and continue to be jealous that I was able to put the pieces of my life back together." She may say the words, but really, her life was just starting to come together. She wasn't going to let Blake know that she still cried herself to sleep at night, and that she missed him horriblely. Lily was pissed now, and she was going to defend her actions to the end.

Sumner quivered in raw rage beside Lily. He had made the choice to let her handle it as she would. Would have been alright with letting her control the situation. Until the snake's mouth opened and disgusting, hateful venom poured out. It wasn't enough for him that Lily verbally countered the bile; it wasn't enough that her hand cracked across Blake's face. For Sumner, the red haze had dropped, his blood-already pumping fast and hard from dancing-boiled and he knew it was time. Time to throw down.

He lunged forward, throwing out his fist and grunted in satisfaction as it collided painfully with Blake's jaw. "You talk to her like that again, they'll have to carry you out." His muscles shook from the need to pummel his face in. Barely he managed to rein it in, waiting to see how he would react.

As Lily made her mark across Blake's face, like a man, he took it. Lily was right, she was always right. Blake had his chance to have her back, but he let his pride come between them. Turning his face back to Lily, Blake's hard expression softened a degree more than he had intended. It was true, her words. Blake was sour because he hated seeing Lily moving on so easily without him, while he was still desperately trying to find himself again. "Lily, I'm sor--" Blake began in a softer voice, the end of his apology knocked out of him as someone's fist met him hard on the jaw. Unexpected as the blow was, Blake didn't even have time to hold his ground, and just like his aviator hat was sent flying away, he went sprawling onto his back with a hard thunk against the floor.
"What the f*ck!?" Blake shouted, his face colouring red as he scrambled to get back on his feet. Who the hell was challenging him by barging into something that did not, in all of f*cking bliss, have anything to do with them? Blake's emerald eyes met Sumner's grey, and there was only a second of peace before Blake hurled his fists forward, aiming for every bit of Sumner he could reach.

Sumner watched the git go down hard; satisfaction hit him yet it was short lived. He grinned even as Blake's fist connected first with his jaw, then with his stomach. Finally, finally some fun. The knock to his gut made him bow forward; he used the momentum to come up with an uppercut to Blake's chin, putting his body weight into it. Lips pulled back in a bloody grimace, he countered with a wicked left cross. He didn't care about repercussions. The thrill of the fight had taken hold.

Lily heard Blake start to speak, then watched in horror as Sumner's fist connected to Blake's face and Blake flattened out on the floor. She was about to scream at him that she could fight her own battles, when Blake retalliated and started to pound on Sumner. She stood there in horror as she watched them pounding on each other there on the floor of the Hall. As prefect, she knew she should stop them, but for right now, she was getting a sick satisfaction out of watching the love of her life fighting with her best friend.

Blake felt his head rear backwards as Sumner punched him from under his chin, followed by another blow to his face. Blake was pissed off and riled that some thick-headed prick could jump into a fight that wasn't his, the same fight that had been coming to a resolved end. But Blake lacked tolerance for anyone's bullshit, and he let his anger and all the hatred he felt, especially for Ford, takeover.
Blake ran forward, tackling Sumner and knocking both of them into a nearby table holding refreshments. As the punch bowl cracked against the floor, and the rest of the snacks spilled out all around them, Blake was on top of Sumner, punching him in the face as hard as he could.

Sumner swore, his back slammed into the table and as the bowl cracked, he felt a shard puncture his shoulder. Grimacing he had no time to pull it as Blake slammed his fist into his face repeatedly. Blood stung his eye, his mouth felt numb. f*ck this! He drew his long legs back and kicked at his midsection, sending him flying. Sumner returned the favor, straddling the prick and making sure his knuckles connected full force with whatever part he could reach.

Crispin's mouth tightened. So that was it. Whoever she had given her heart to had done what he himself could not; make her happy. "I hope you'll be happy together," he said stiffly before his attention was jerked away by loud voices. Frowning, his hand unconsciously grasped hers, his first thought even as he sought out the source of the disturbance was of her safety. He watched shocked as the events unfolded. Then hurriedly moved Andy and himself out of the way, over toward Lily. So that was the boyfriend; Blake, his roommate. His eyes slid closed and he called himself a fool many times over.

His hand still entwined with Andy's, he touched Lily's shoulder with the other.
"Are you alright?"

Blake was sent flying backwards by Sumner's kick, and before Blake could respond or even get back onto his feet again, Sumner was straddled over him, giving him what he just got. Blake felt his jaw crack after Sumner's repeated blows to his face, but it already hurt badly enough that he barely registered the new pain that stung him. Blake spat his blood and saliva into Sumner's face hoping to blind him, then elbowed him in the eye in an attempt to get him the f*ck off. Getting to his feet as quickly as he could, Blake turned and kicked Sumner as hard as he could in the face. "You should really learn to mind your own f*cking business, Reine!"

Lily watched as the boys rolled around in what used to be the refreshments table, a combination of fists and food. She tried to figure out how to stop them, when suddenly there was a hand on her shoulder. She turned to face Crispin, not realizing tears had started to flow down her face.

"No. I'm sorry. I have ruined your night, Crispin. That is my ex, Blake. I'm sorry. I never could have dreamed he would react like this!" Lily looked again as the boys made more noise and rolled around on the floor. Tears flowed full force down her cheeks. She was embarrased that she had ruined Crispin's night, and in the process Andy's too.

Sumner wasn't his father's son for nothing. Back him into a corner and he became a mean, nasty son of a b1tch. Blake's low blow tactics did their job; he flew back from the elbow to his face. Momentarily blinded, he couldn't see to protect his face; pain erupted through his skull as Blake's boot attempted to crack it. He thought about giving into the pain. Just laying there, maybe taking the snake's advice.

F*&k-that-noise. He made no noise, none, as he rolled to his feet, wiped his eyes clean and did what came naturally to him. Fighting dirty. Palm thrust to the nose, kick to the groin, right hook to the ear. Blake went down hard and for a second Sumner breathed heavily, fighting through the pain before it simply shut off. Rolling his neck, he kicked him while he was down.

Ashton had been across the hall hitting on a few single fifth years when he heard the fight break out. Looking over to see who it was, he saw his roommate, Blake going down. "Oh hell no," he muttered as he excused himself from the ladies and booked it across the hall. Some guy dressed like Han Solo was kicking the sh1t out of his roommate. He whipped the mask off of his costume, then took off in a dive at the guy that was presently kicking Blake while he was down. "Get off my roommate!" he screamed as he knocked him to the ground and began to pummel him in the face.

Kat let Blake lead her out on the dance floor and as the music began she felt her body begin to move in sync with his. The Slytherin really had become absolutely gorgeous over the course of their time here at school and Kat couldn't have been happier to be the one to help him exact his revenge on his ex little Ravenclaw wh0r3 as well as her own bastard of an ex boyfriend. Just as things seemed to be going perfectly all hell broke loose and Kat knew that things were going to get ugly fast. First it was just Lily and Blake going at each others throats until the giant meat head Sumner had to get his two cents worth of a punch in there. "You're an *******," she seethed at him, "Is punching Slytherins your past time you douche bag?"

A sudden fight erupted and as much as Kat knew she should stop it she wanted nothing more than to see Blake wipe that smug ass look off Sumner's face...she wanted blood. Blake told Sumner to mind his own f*cking business and while both boys were on the ground looking worn out from tearing at each other Kat piped up with a nasty tone, "Oh, but didn't you hear Blake...Lily is his f*cking business. Tell me again Sumner just exactly what you've been 'doing' with Lily...or better yet, let's hear it straight from the horses mouth...or should I say the wh0r3's mouth." Her fists were clinched tightly at her sides, knuckles showing white.
