Baking.

Taras jaw dropped slightly when Sara said what she wanted to do. "you want to be an auror? that would be awesome, but i heard that you have to do really well to get in there. not that i doubt you can" she said, she knew Sara was smart, and if she worked for it she knew that her friend could do it. Although tara was a little bit of a dreamer, she never seemed to see obstacles for others. "I don't know what i need, nothing i guess, but i hope i do okay in charms at least" she said, she liked charms, and she may be able to use them if she ended up as a housewife which was what she thought she would. it would make cleaning and cooking easier, which may give her a little time to visit the magical world if she would apporate.
Tara thought of a costume she really didn't have any ideas. she would have to look around in bight stone when she was next down there and try and come up with a costume. "I don't know if i will be able to pull off any of the professors, I am sure i will find something." she said. she smiled, "I will send owls out to everyone, you, Willow, Kate, Stefan, Georgina, who else?" she said trying to remember who else she should invite.

Sara smiled when she saw that Tara was shocked, she knew people didn't expect a girlish girl like her to want to do such a dangerous job, but it just felt riht, and she thought she'd be good at it. "That's why I didn't keep on any other subjects, I want to focus on that goal." she replied, knowing that it was very hard, just made her want it more. "I like charms, it's probably the most useful subject." Sara replied, she didn't have charms until the second semester. It was the most practical subject, the one she'd probably use most when she was older.

"Yeah, anyway muggle clothes count as a costume at halloween here, so it doesn't have to be absoutely over the top, in fact that'd probably seem at home to all the wizarding kids here." she grinned, she knew that the wizards were all a bit over-the tope. Well, the robes were anyway. "Um, can I invite my friend Jake?" she asked, knowing Tara would say yes, she was so nice, and she didn't want Jake to be alone.

"well it is a good goal to focus on. i don't think that there is much higher than auror in the Wizarding worked is there?" she said, she didn't know much about jobs in the wizarding world, if she was allowed to stay she would like a simple job, maybe a shopkeeper, or artist or designer. surly magic people still needed things like that. :charms are useful thats why i like them. They are the sort of most magical of magic in my mind, I suppose Transfiguraton is too, but i think that there is something wrong with turning something that is perfect the way it is into something else." she said, she wasn't one who usually shared her views (especially negative ones) in that way but she did then.
she thought about a costume. "maybe a muggle something, like a sport player would be easy enough, i will see if i can find a kit in Brightstone when we can go there." she said she didn't really see a sport player as a particularly good costume but it was better than nothing. "Invite whoever you like. its an open invitation, not closed party, just meeting up with friends at the feast, the more the merrier, I may invite a couple of other people too." she said. she couldn't think of anyone else that she could invite, maybe she should invite Sapphire, she had met her the previous year but hadn't talked to her for a while.

Sara smiled at Tara's answwer, she was so lovely, there had to be something wrong with you if you didn't like Tara. "Well, there's the head of departments and Minester for magic, the aurors are only that important in crime fighting though to be honest-I don't know much about the ministry." she replied, grinning, she just liked the idea of protecting people, and trying to help others. "Yeah, I suppose, though I really like transfiguration myself-I might become an animagus when I'm older, if I can get ministry approval." she mused, smiling at Tara. It was intresting talking to her, and she'd never really talked to Tara on her own before.

"Yeah, there should be something in Brightstone, they usually have good stuff." she agreed, nodding. She was glad Tara agreed to her inviting people. "Cool! I have a few friends I'd like to invite." she smiled, she'd invite Jake of course, and that new guy she'd met-Dante. They were both cool, though she still wasn't sure how she felt about Jake. He was just a bit...dazzling.

Ugh, sorry rubbish reply :/

Tara smiled, "so managing jobs are higher, aurers are well respected aren't they. Maybe a healer would be a good job too." she said wondering. she really didn't see a future for her in the magical world, but she guessed she should try something just in case she get a miracle. "what animal do you want to be, I can see you as a cat or something" she said, she wasn't sure why she thought so but she imagined that Sara would suit a cat.
I am sure i can find something, if not i will reuse one of my old costumes." she said. but she was sure that she would find something. "Invite whoever you want." she said. she could see that Sara was thinking about someone specific. Although she hadn't told anyone once of her main aims during hogwarts was not to get perfect marks as she didn't think she would need them afterwards, it was to make sure that her friends were happy and to do whatever she could to ensure that, as even if she wasn't allowed to live the life she dreamed about she wanted to make up for it through making it easier for everyone else.

Sara nodded in agreement. "Yeah, healer's a good one too, but the future isn't set, and we can all change." she replied, she felt sorry for Tara, who was so kind and loveable, to have her future planned for her, it seemed cruel, but Tara seemed to be dealing with it well and Sara wasn't going to upset her by going on about it. "I don't know, i always imagined I'd be a sparrow, or something-I suppose it'll be whatever I can manage to transform into." she answered, a cat-that was an idea, but her Father had always disliked cats, it probably wouldn't sit well with him that his daughter transformed into one.

"I'm sure you'll look great, you always do." Sara complimented her-it was true, Tara had a kind of welcoming cheerful air about her that made her beautiful, it was as though her goodness shone out of her. "Thanks." she grinned, glad she could invite the guys, ake was a good friend, and Dante was a new friend, there were both good people to have around. "I cant believe it's just a year until the O.W.Ls." she sighed, thinking about the amount of homework they were being given-it wasn't exactly promising.

Tara smiled. "I am sure things will work themselves out one way or another" she said optimistically, Tara was almost always optimistic, at least out loud. "a sparrow sounds good, you would be able to fly, but then again i know you are good at that in human form" she said, referring to the position Sara played on her quidditch team. she wasn't sure what animal she would be if she were an animagus, but she didn't need to think about it as she didn't want to be one anyways.
"thank you, you always look beautiful too" she said. accepting yet another compliment. she had heard a lot when she was younger that she was pretty, however she had never really tried very hard to look good, when she had been a child there hadn't been enough money for expensive clothes and makeup. and now she rarely had the desire to spend hours getting ready every morning. usually she would jus braid her long hair, and put on some clothes. she was thankful that she was the only indian in school so she could get away with many things style wise that many of the other students couldn't. her love of bright colours for example could be classed as culture, not tastelessness in a world of neutral tones, and her unusual outfits could be classed the same. "Owls next year, then after that there will be two year of NEWTS to look forward to. Its hard to believe we are half way through the school already, It doesn't seem like that long ago when we were lining up to be sorted, but it also seems like a lifetime has passed" she said. four years was a long time, she would never have guessed back then that she would be studying magic in new zealand, and that she would have some awesome friends.

Sara grinned, nodding her head. "Yeah, definetly." she agreed, liking how positive Tara was being. It was the best way to be, thinking along a more of a glass-half-full line. "Thanks.." Sara answered, as Tara complimented her flying. A blush was spreading across her cheeks, she knew she was a good flier, but she'd always thought it went un-noticed. Sara smiled as Tara complimented her back "Thanks." she answered, again, but she knew Tara was just being nice this time, a compliment in return for a compliment kind of thing. It was the polite thing to do, and she knew that was why Tara was saying it.

"I know, I mean it's like I've known all of you forever, it just seems so strange, thinking of a time when I didn't know magic existed." she agreed, she wasn't looking forward to the O.W.Ls next year, it was scary, knowing something could affect her future like that. She just didn't know what she'd do if they went badly.
