Amber was infuriated. Not only had she just had the worst Herbology lesson she could remember ever having, she was in pain and blistered because of a mistake stupid November had made. The two were walking to the hospital wing, and Amber hadn't said a word to the other girl from the moment they had left the greenhouses. Now she practically stormed into the hospital wing, eager to get this fixed so she could be on her way and far away from the blonde. She glanced at her from the corner of her eye, wondering if an apology was coming or not. "You know, you should pay attention when you work with dangerous plants." She said before she could stop herself. Now that she could no longer distract herself with walking, she supposed the words had to come out. "It was really irresponsible what you did." She flicked her hair but then winced as it hurt her arm more, it looked so ugly after being hit by the bubotuber pus. She officially loathed that plant, and knew she would refuse to work with it ever again. It would be the first time she disobeyed a teacher, but for the bubotuber she would do it.

November walked to the Hospital Wing following behind Amber slightly. She was in pain and could sense that she would have a terrible scar on her face, unless the staff had things to get rid of the rash easily. November already felt like an idiot for not looking at her hands when she was putting the dung down around the plant and letting herself get distracted by a boy, she didn't desire Amber to inform her of her wrong doings. "I know......................I know," she mumbled as her housemate told her off for what happened. Soon enough they were in the Hospital Wing and November couldn't be more glad to see a nurse in all her life. Her face was stinging badly along with her neck where she had gotten sprayed the most. She almost didn't even sense her arms stinging from her face hurting so much. It was plenty worse than actually having pimples on the face. "Sorry, I didn't mean to do it," November said as she moved to sit down on one of the hospital wing beds to be looked at. Looking at Amber this was the first time November could remember ever seeing the girl look less than perfect. She had the pus and rash on her arm and face like herself and she seemed so disheveled whereas November felt probably a lot more calm about the whole situation. It was just something that happened, she hadn't meant for it to but it happened. November was embarrassed that it was looking at Flavio watching him that got her distracted. She had promised herself to try to give up her feelings of crushing on him but it didn't seem like they wanted to let go. She even wondered if he'd show up once class was over to see his friends in their state. She hoped not, not wanting to look more ugly than she already felt she looked.

Amber sat down on a bed too, though she wished it was more socially acceptable to pick a bed far away from November she sat on the one next to hers instead. It hurt, and it was hard to believe this same pus could make pimples go away. She imagined she must look horrible, she was pretty sure she still had the smell of manure lingering around her even though she had taken off her gloves and abandoned them in the greenhouse. November's apology felt weak to her, and her irritation was still very pronounced. "That's not going to make this rash go away, if I have scars..." She grimaced, reaching up to gingerly touch her face. "I'll look hideous." She said, though she trusted the Hospital Staff could take care of it. She hoped so, at least. "What was it that had you so distracted anyway?" She asked November, though she knew what it had been. November's crush on Flavio was becoming obvious to Amber, or at least the idea that November liked to watch him. She had seen her look at him a lot during the quidditch match, and the nickname had been another clue. Amber would't have minded it, if not for the fact that in her experience a romantic relationship ruined friendships. Dating Wyatt had nearly split up her and Ainsley as best friends, and she'd heard something similar about Evelyn and her friend Lucas. "You seemed very invested in whatever it was." She added, though she felt a little bad for teasing the girl. Her comment about the nickname at the quidditch match had been bad enough, but her irritation was high and seeing November flustered sounded very good right now. A part of her realized she was acting a lot like her sister, saying things just to get a reaction from someone. But at least she wasn't as openly mean as Sophie often was.

Flavio's herbology lesson went off without a hitch, though he couldn't say the same for two of his friends. He had been distracted by his task at the time, and with Amber and November obscured by one of the bubotubers in his line of sight, he had not seen exactly what happened. But he was unable to ignore the commotion that erupted between the two girls, easily putting two and two together by the time he put his tools away, rushing from the greenhouse to the hospital wing. He arrived to find both Hufflepuff girls sitting on separate beds and approached them with concern etched on his features. "What happened? Are you okay?" He asked, looking between his friends. Considering the subject of their herbology lesson, Flavio had assumed there was an issue with bubotuber pus. He realized his assumption was right when he noticed the rash covering parts of their skin. He winced at how painful it looked, then glanced away when he figured they would not want to be stared at, instead moving his eyes to look around the room, hoping a nurse would show up if his friends had not seen one already.

Amber was right to be upset, November knew that but for some reason it felt like this was about more than just the bubotuber exploding on the two of them. What was worse her mistake took Hufflepuff down another 40 points, like they hadn't already been low compared to the previous year's marks. She wished Amber would have sat down somewhere else in the room, but she knew the nurse would easily heal them both at the same time, no use in making the person walk across the whole wing because the two girls didn't like each other. "What? If you have scars, then what Amber? Are you going to yell at me more? That won't make your scars go away," November said not as strongly as Amber spoke but she could feel herself getting upset feeding off of Amber's emotion. "I apologize for getting you sprayed, trust me I wouldn't do it on purpose, I'm in just as much pain as you," she said looking away from her housemate. "Looking pretty isn't everything. Plenty of people that aren't pretty marry and have wonderful lives," she said to Amber more for her own benefit. She already believed herself to be ugly but if she had hope for a good future then her looks did not matter to her. But Amber saying things about looking hideous made her doubt her own future. In any case she thought the scars would heal easily with a bit of magic, she just wished the nurse would arrive quickly and heal it. Hearing Amber's next comment she looked back at the girl a little stunned. "I..what!" She got out, wondering if she had been caught looking at Flavio. She knew she shouldn't think about being more than friends with him but her mind wandered in class, she just couldn't help thinking what it'd be like to date him. Have moments together like feeding the ducks like Amber and Flavio did. She didn't have time to respond to her second comment before the source of their topic walked into the Hospital Wing.

Flavio seemed uncomfortable once he saw their faces, November looked over towards Amber hoping the girl would shut up about what got her distracted. "I accidentally pushed down on a boil when I put the dung down, it popped and unfortunately I wasn't able to block all the spray and it hit Amber as well," November said looking between the two. She wondered how the rest of the class had gone after they were escorted to the Hospital Wing but she thought twice before asking. The substitute had been very upset with both of them and hadn't given them a chance to explain. Amber hadn't done anything, it was just her own fault. "I'm sorry the substitute thought it was your fault as well, I'll go back after this to explain, maybe she'll give you the house points back," November offered to Amber unsure if the substitute would even want to see her but she could give a shot.

Amber couldn't believe that November was telling her off for yelling. She hadn't even yelled, really. Was she not alloed to be annoyed? She glared at her. "I know you didn't do it on purpose, but you were careless." She snapped. "And while looking pretty isn't everything, I happen to care about my looks. You do too, clearly, so I don't know why you're lecturing me." She frowned. November was pretty, was she implying Amber wasn't? She tried her best with her outfits, but she couldn't change her entire appearance just with hard work. She couldn't decide if it was a jab or not, so she decided to let it go. Her stunned expression at Amber's question was kind of funny, but Amber kept her face blank. It wasn't hard to do that, the thought of the forty points they lost because of November's clumsiness was enough to smother any laughter before it could begin. She had never lost points before, and losing twenty when she had done nothing wrong at all felt really unfair to her.

But she couldn't needle November about her crush more, as the boy walked in. Amber looked at him, trying to see why the girl liked him. It wasn't hard, he had a cute face and was really nice. She wondered why she didn't like him, but that question was too uncomfortable to linger on. As November explained the situation to Flavio, Amber's irritation worsened. When the other girl suggested going to explain, she couldn't keep the coldness out of her voice. "Maybe you should." She said shortly, averting her eyes from November so she wouldn't glare. She couldn't help but hope Flavio didn't like November back, she didn't want November to be able to tell him not to be friends with Amber anymore.

Flavio returned his gaze to his friends and listened to November's explanation, again wincing at the sight of their rashes. It wasn't difficult for him to assume the commotion involved bubotuber pus but it set in differently when he heard his friend retell the situation. Simply thinking about bubotuber pus was enough to make him cringe, let alone the idea that the pus had hurt his friends while he was powerless to do anything to help. "That's awful." He commented. When November mentioned speaking to the substitute about the points they lost, Flavio's expression turned to a frown. He already felt guilty for being too far away and out of eyesight of the situation as it happened. Learning that he had also been out of a decent earshot enough to hear when they lost points only made his guilt worsen. He considered offering to speak to the substitute himself to make amends for not being there, but dismissed the idea when he realized it would be meddling in a situation that did not directly involve him. It would likely cause more problems than it was worth and his Hufflepuff friends seemed to be in enough of a problem already.

"Has a nurse been to see you guys, yet?" Flavio asked after Amber's short remark, when he began to notice the ongoing tension between his friends. Of course the situation they were in due to what happened in herbology had caused tension, but the tension he felt was the same he had noticed since the beginning of the year, yet worse. Changing the subject seemed appropriate in the same way it was appropriate to try and find a nurse to fix the problem so the mess that was the lesson and the aftermath of it could be over with.

November shot a glare back towards Amber Wilson as they sat in the hospital wing waiting for a nurse to come see them. She didn't understand why Amber thought she cared about her looks. "You're the one trying so hard to impress people with your looks, I just wear what's in my trunk at the top," November said in return. November was even more upset that Amber brought up how something distracted her during the class and she hated herself for showing it bothered her. Amber always picked on her about things dealing with Flavio and she didn't understand why the girl would. Flavio was friends to both of them, but ever since the beginning of the year Amber disliked November, especially whenever Flavio was around. She was glad the focus of their conversation walked in at that moment to break off anymore of their arguments. She could see a nurse shuffling along elsewhere in the wing and hoped they'd be over to see them soon.

November could feel the sting that meant to come with Amber's reply to her offering to talk with the substitute. It made November feel less and less like she wanted to go and get Amber the house points back, even if Amber had no fault in the whole ordeal. It made her feel uncomfortable the looks that were present on Flavio's face, he didn't seem like he was able to even look at them. Normally if she thought herself ugly enough and he couldn't look at her it would crush her heart but she knew it was about the rash forming on her skin and not the fact she was ugly. "Noo," she drew out a little and then noticed a nurse coming over. Checking on Amber first while November explained the situation again the nurse quickly got to work on their skin and the rashes. She hoped that Amber's wouldn't heal and she'd be left with a scar there just for the curt remarks the girl had made. But, November knew that was mean and she was the one who really deserved to be marked for life by her mistake. November made sure to send a glare towards while the nurse was blocking Flavio's view of her face. She wasn't sure if he knew at all how much aggression was really between the two and while she didn't care to be friends with Amber, she also didn't want to lose her friendship with Flavio.

November's words made no sense. "I'm not trying hard to impress anyone." She snapped at the girl. "I dress nicely for myself." She knew she had gone too far by bringing up November's crush the way she had, but that didn't mean the girl could start attacking her character or style.

Amber's irritation was through the roof at this point. The longer she lingered on the points she lost, the angrier she got. Even Flavio annoyed her a little, though she knew that wasn't fair. She crossed her arms and tried to bite her tongue, just waiting to be helped. She shot angry looks at November every few seconds. She sulked quietly as the nurse worked on November and then healed Amber herself. She caught November's glare and glared straight back. How dare the girl be angry at her when she had been the one at fault. When the nurse was done, Amber got to her feet. "November, I trust you'll go to the professor like you said?" She said coldly, though she didn't really think the other girl would. She glanced at a mirror to make sure she looked the same as normal, and she more-or-less did. She sighed. "And be more careful in the future." She said, her voice sounding a tad haughty even to herself. Then she glanced at Flavio. "Thanks for visiting." She muttered. Her normally cheerful and friendly self was buried under a thick layer of annoyance and anger. She needed to sit in her room by herself for a while before she could muster up the energy to smile again. It was annoying to her that November was turning it around to her, as if Amber had no reason to be annoyed with the girl and was being unfair. Maybe not before today, but now she definitely did. The thought crossed her mind that maybe November had done this on purpose, though she didn't think it was likely as the other girl had been hit as well. At least she didn't seem as upset about getting someone else hurt as she should.
