Hello all,
As most of you should now be aware, Hogwarts New Zealand is trying to increase the activity of the Wizarding World forums. The main way we've identified to do this is via increased Auror/Death Eater activities.
Death Eaters have been a major part of HNZ for quite some time, but Aurors (and the Ministry of Magic in general) have often been subject to inactivity. With Aurors needing a more complex approval process than regular ministry employees (as Aurors are truly the elite of the Wizarding World) it was necessary to find a way to allow Aurors to be hired, and become another focus of the site, without the process being too straining on the applicant and the Admin.
An automated form was made to apply to be an Auror and a new usergroup was created, complete with a private forum for Auror plot planning. Soon enough the first Admin-sanctioned Auror/DE plots will be entering forums all across HNZ.
Presently, we are still hiring for Aurors. The approval process will stay up indefinitely (so this isn't a limited time opportunity) but now is the time when you are most likely to have your character accepted.
Naturally, there are additional rules for roleplaying Aurors (and similar rules have recently been applied to Death Eaters as well) so that all Aurors are on the same page and any Auror/Death Eater plots are definitely Admin-okayed. We also recommend that anybody applying to be an Auror (or even a Death Eater) be willing to be flexible with both their character, and the situations their character(s) are put in. If we have two groups of untouchable characters these plots won't be fun at all, and will become entirely pointless.
We hope to have a lot of members of HNZ taking part in these plots outside of the regular "Hogwarts" part of the site, not just Death Eaters and Aurors.
