Samual Pace Kaster had been having a rollercoaster year, well, half year anyway. In one term, he had felt like he'd hit rock bottom, but then had been lifted back to Cloud Nine. It was freaky, but he was so grateful. For so long he had felt alone, upset and broken, but now he was feeling so happy and joyous, especially after the Quidditch game, and helping Kate in the dungeons, and talking to Professor Le Fey. As Samual ran through the grounds of Hogwarts, he could feel the wind in his curls, and he could hear the lake crashing into the rocky shores. But he wasn't heading to the lake today, all it offered him was a beautiful sight, he couldn't swim in it, not without worrying about drowning, since he couldn't swim. But he was perfectly happy to do a full circle on the opengrounds and run back to the Hogwarts Garden, where he always seemed to be these days, since the Rosebush felt foregin to him now. Even if the Annalie incident had happened quite some time ago, the fear that she broguht him... the pain- it was still there, deep down. Because everything she said, was true. Maybe Ben did leave because he didn't like Sammy anymore, maybe Samual was too immature to be loved by his own brothers, after all, Jack left too... but he came back, so Samual couldn't be too bad, right? Tamalia hadn't left him yet, she still loved him, so why was he worried? What would Annalie Darkhart know about his family? Nothing. She knew nothing about how tight they were, or what they had been through. Samual knew Ben, Annalie had never met him, because if she had, she'd have felt privilaged to have met such a fantabulous, and lving person. The person Ben was.

Dropping his storm of negative thoughts at his feet, Samual dashed across the grounds, towards the Hogwarts Garden, it was always nice, even in Winter! When he reached the edges, he could smell the flowers and see the throns beneath them, but he still went up close to them and walked carefully amoungst them. He wasn't worried about being stabbed by a throne, but he didn't want to step on one of the flowers. As he reached a small clearing, Samual looked around and smiled slightly, brushing his curls out of his emerald eyes, he sat down and watched the clouds, trying to work out the shapes that they made so he could clear his mind and focus on the classes that would be coming up very soon.

Sara had been in a good mood all day. She had no study to do, no exams to worry about. The start of a new semester. For her, it meant possibly a new outlook on her year. he'd been quieter than normal this year, hadn't met up with her friends in a while....Or Jake for that matter. She was supposed to be his girlfriend, but she'd been so wrapped up in studying recently, that she'd completely neglected him. She sighed as she thought of this, a slight cloud on her otherwise sunny mood. He hadn't been around much either and the few times she'd tried to find him, none of the other Slytherins had been particularly helpful. She'd considered asking Ryan, but he wasn't on the best of terms with their family, or the world at the moment. She shook her head, her brunette curls falling into her face. no. she was not going to let herself think her way out of a good mood. One way to prevent that, was to go outside.

She skipped along the hallways, smiling at passing students. Technically she should be walking, and technically she should be more sober. She was a prefect after all, though she'd come to find it wasn't that different from before. She ust had to do rounds now. She stuck her head out the entrance of the school and glanced around. No teachers in sight. That was good. Seeing Stefan had put her in high spirits. She just hoped to God he was alright now. Wherever he was. She sprinted down the wide expanse of green, tumbling into the grass, and letting her hair spread out behind her head. Ever sice "prefect-dom." as she'd come to call it...she felt as though she couldn;t be herself, as though she had to be somehow more attentive, or scholarly. Maybe it was just her overthinking things-as ussual, but having some time to herself felt good.

After a few minutes she climbed out of the grass, and hauled herself onto her feet. Where to go? Not the lake-the water was colder this time of year, and she didn't want a cold. Maybe the gardens? It had been a while since she'd been there, almost since First Year if she remembered correctly-when she'd first seen Tara drawing, or meeting with her friends? She couldn't remember very clearly, though she missed some of the friends she'd had back then; Vayne, Roze, Amanda...they'd all fallen apart somehow, until Tara, Kate, Stefan and Sara were left. It was weird to think how things had changed. She headed toward the gardens at a more leisurely pace, but upon arrival realised there was already someone there. She was about to leave, when she realised that she recognised the boy, Sammy? Her sisters had talked about him over Christmas, and she' read about him in RHI. She had no doubt there was nothing between him and Kate, Kate was in love with Stefan. She walked over to him cautiously, and called out; "Hey!" she waved over at him, and took a seat opposite the younger boy. "I'm Sara." she smiled, back to usual friendly self.

Samual watched the sky carefully, he was trying to figure out what one of the clouds was. He'd already spotted a marshmellow, the letter 'Q', a bumblebee and a frog, well, the frog was now starting to turn into something that looked a little like a duck, maybe a goose. When he got distracted by a yellow butterfly, Samual smiled to himself and looked back at the 'frog' cloud, but it had seemed to morph into a duck. He had to admit, it must be pretty cool to be a cloud, in theory anyway. Being able to float around with the simplest ease, being able to watch over people and change shape at will, it all seemed like pretty cool stuff, but the whole being stuck in the sky and being possibly blown away by wind didn't sound too nice. Propping himself back on his elbows, Samual crossed his ankles and continued to watch the 'duck' cross the sky with amazing speed, for a cloud. Usually clouds moved slower than snails, but this one was quite speedy indeed. With a quick movement of his head, Samual flicked his curls out of his face and continued to watch the sky happily, he could hear some movement around him, but that was probably caused by elves, or something similar, maybe even birds or rabbits, or someones pet, he wasn't too distressed by it, as long as it wasn't a certain Ravenclaw Sixth year, he was totally fine with the company, even if they didn't come and talk to him.

Samual took his emerald eyes off of the sky when he heard someone approaching, and tilted his head slightly when he was greeted by a girl he wasn't sure if he knew or not. He'd definately seen her before, but he couldn't tell where. She probably wasn't in his year, since he knew everyone in his year, well, atleast by face anyway, not nessesarily by name. But then it hit hi, she was one of the prefects! That's probably how he 'knew' her. She seemed to be a little cautious, which was new to him, since Sammy wasn't known for biting people or anything, but maybe she didn't know him. Well, she'd soon learn that there was nothing to be scared of, the worst Samaul could do was probably scream, but even that was rare. "Hi!" He greeted happily, watching the girl sit opposite him and sat up to get a better look at his new company. "I'm Sammy, nice to meet you, Sara." He added with a cheery smile. Whenever people same within talking range of the young Gryffindor, his mood picked up so much, he really loved communicating with people, he found most people very pleasent, though there were a few diamonds in the rough, and then there were horrible coals, but most of the time the people he met were wonderful diamonds. Sammy glanced up at the bright, clear sky momentarily to see if the duck he spoted was still there, but now it looked more like... a banana, or boomerang, he couldn't decide, so he decided to ask Sara her oppinion of the cloud. "Hey Sara, do you know what that looks like?" He asked, pointing up at the cloud that looked like a banana-boomerang. He didn't say what he thought it was, because he didn't want influence her decision, so he waited patciently for her reply. Sure, it was a little bit random, but it was a good way to start conversation and get to know Sara better. What use was there with meeting people if you just sat silently?

Sara smiled as she felt the light breeze against her skin. She loved the outdoors, always had. She'd slept very well the night before, and felt wide awak as she stopped to breathe in the heady scent of the flowers in the garden. It was intoxicating. She'd always loved flowers. It reminded her of home, of the gardens where she spent a lot of her Summer time. Reading, writing singing. She'd taken up iutar last year, and was delighted with the result. It meant she didn't need an accompaniment all the time. The thought of music invariably led to her family. She hadn't spoken to many of them recently, but then again she hadn't really talked to anyone recently. Kate seemed to be doing better, ever since she'd returned from hospital she'd been gaining weight steadily, which was very good. Ryan, however, was worrying. She used to be very close to her brother, and the thought of him was more painful than thinking of either of her sisters. She missed him, she missed the trouble they used to cause together. It had been so long since she'd talked to him, and it felt wrong. She could handle her distance from Kate and Star, but Ryan had always been her little brother, and she hated the way he'd set himself apart, distanced himself from the famiy. She'd done the ame in a way, but differently. She just couldn't understand his reasons.

Sara smiled down at the green-eyes boy. His eyes were a deep emerald, that immediately reminded her of Jake. Even thinking his name put a smile on her face, but a sad smile. She missed him. "Sorry, I didn't want to disturb your daydreaming, I know how irritating that can be." she apologised, as she sat opposite the smiling boy. She could see why Kate and Star liked him. "You too Sammy." she grnned, he didn't seem to know why she was. As they'd grown, her and Kate had come to look more alike, they weren't identical, but since Sara's hair had darkened, she did look more like her sister. It was odd, at a time it would've annoyed her, but her and Kate were very different people, and that was okay. As he talked about the cloud, she leaned back on her hand, facing the sky; "Well.....it kind of looks like a sword, you know those curved ones that pirates always fight with in movies." she grinned, she'd always liked watching clouds. "And that one over there-a puppy!" she beamed, pointing at a cliud slightly to the right of the "sword." She turned back to Sammy; "I saw you in the Christmas game-you're a good seeker." she complimented. "I seek too-Ravenclaw." she explained, crossing her legs in front of her. She felt at an advantage, knowing who he was, but him not knowing who she was, so she decided to shed some light on the situation; "It kind of runs in my family, Kate's a chaser, and I'm pretty sure Ryan could play if he wanted." she continued, winking at him. She wasn't going to mention RHI-she knew it was a load of rubbish. She felt like blushing, though she'd mad esure she didn't do that much anymore. Somehow she always managed to sound like a complete chatterbox.

Sammy waved his hand in a 'don't worry' motion. He didn't mind his thoughts being interrupted, as long as it was for something important, and nice conversations were important to Samual, general conversation and communication with others were very important to him, because he got lonely very quickly and it was a horrible feeling to house in someones heart. Loneliness to Samual was worse than being sad, because atleast if you're sad you can go to someone and ask for help, but if you're lonely, you're alone and no-one's there to help you out, and things to get worse."It's okay, I don't mind at all, I was getting a little lonely anyway, so it's great that you came along." He reassured. The slightly older, but rather familiar girl had not done anything wrong, she had just been nice, he wasn't going to blame her for that. Kindness seemed to be a hard thing to find these days, so Samual was always happy to meet other nice people. The smile she wore seemed to be a little sad, but Samual didn't mention it, because for one he couldn't be sure, and he didn't want to bring attention to it just in case it was a touchy or uncomfortable subject for her, people didn't smile sadly for nothing, and he had just met her, so it would be totally rude to try and crack her thoughts after they just traded names. "So it's not irritating at all, in fact, it's a bit comforting. I hate being alone." He admitted, it was true and he was fine with admitting it, it just made him who he was, so why would he be ashamed of it? It wasn't really embarrassing either, though some thought it to be something that should be kept secret, although it had been used against him on one occasion, but that was only by the worse human being ever created, and it was once, so he was trying to overlook that fact. Not everyone was totally evil.

Samual was glad that Sara seemed like a nice person, he couldn't stand to meet another Annalie, he'd surely be in tears... again. In fact, RHI nearly made him cry, well, he had a few tears in his eyes, but he hadn't cried per-say. Either way, he was happy that Sara was nice, and not an evil, horrible and cruel person. He couldn't shake the feeling that she looked familiar, he just again put it down to the fact that she was a prefect, because he'd have seen her around because she was a prefect, so he tried to ignore it. Samual looked back at the sky when she did and observed the cloud, that seemed to change its shape once again. Cheeky cloud. He tilted his head to the side to see what she saw, and nodded, she was quite right, now it looked like a sword. Sara was just lucky that Samual's mother was a muggle-born, because he had seen a few muggle movies in his time, and since his sisters was a squib, magic was strictly prohibited in the house, which meant muggle netertainment when growing up, except when they all got together and played a mock game of Quidditch, there were enough of them that could ride brooms to have two Seekers, two Chasers, two Beaters and a Ref to make sure no-one had any complains, though these days homemade Quidditch didn't happen, since Jack was in England, Amanra was traveling the globe, Tess was pregnant, and Ben was... otherwise busy. "And here I thought it looked like a banana." He joked, laughing quietly. "It used to be a frog." He added as an afterthought. When she pointed at one that she said looked like a puppy, Samual tilted his head, it looked more like a little cow. "It kinda looks like... a little cow..." He mused, a smile growing on his face. "I love how different people see different things in clouds, don't you?" He asked excitedly.

Samual brought his emerald eyes back to Sara as she commented on the Christmas Quidditch game. That had been a lot of fun, even if the other, younger Seeker had cried, Samual asked her to hang out sometime, and she said yes and looked so much better after he gave her a hug and some reassurance that she did really well. He also took the time to hug everyone else, including both the Deputy Headmasters. He felt a little bad for causing his Head of House to lose, but he wasn't on her team at the time and he couldn't throw the game and let his own team down, besides, Professor Blaze was really cool too. "Thankyou, I had so much fun playing." He explained. When she told him that she was on the Ravenclaw team, as Seeker too, his smile grew. "You must have so much fun all the time!" He said excitedly. He really did love Seeking, especially since the Snitch was so adorable and shiney, he didn't want to let it go. If there was one thing that made Samual feel like rolling his eyes, it was that Sara seemed to know quite a bit about him, everyone seemed to know him before he knew them, it was so unfair! He honestly felt like living under a rock, just to finally meet someone that knew absolutely nothing about him, now that would be a suprise. But when she meantioned the name Kate, everything clicked. Sara was Kate's and Star's sister, That's why Samual knew her fce, because it was similar to Kate and Star's face, and he was sure that her being Seeker, and prefect also helped. "I knew I knew your face from somewhere!" He blurted out, cupping his mouth and laughing slightly. "Sorry for yelling." He said, flicking his curls out of his eyes.

Every time I read this, I keep thinking of the song "At The End of the Day" from Les Miserables. :p

Sara visibly brightened, as Sammy reassured her. She'd missed meeting new people, she'd become so comfortable in her little bubble, and it was good for her to break out every now and then. Even if her parents thought otherwise. they'd become over-protective since Kate's illness had been discovered, as though wrapping them all in cotton wool could somehow prevent bad things from happening. She smiled at Sammy's openness. She used to be like that, bubbly and open, as easy to read as an open book. What had happened? "I don't know.... Sometimes being alone can be alright, depends on your mood." she replied thoughtfully, lying back in the grass to look up at the sky; "Like, if I'm reading a book or something, I prefer to be alone sometimes, and others I'm just begging for conversation, you know?" she finished, tracing the shape of a cloud that was directly above her head with her finger trailing through the air. It was a relief to finally relax, and Sammy was good company. He was happy, and nice....sound-as they'd say back home. She looked back up at the younger boy, "So Sammy, what house are you in?" she asked, she was looking at him at an odd, angle and she turned her head slightly, noticing his shoes; "Ohh-I like these!" she grinned, sitting up once more to get a better look at them. Sara loved shoes, and clothes, and basically pretty things. She abruptly realised how weird that sounded; "Sorry." she explained "....I like shoes..."

That awkward moment passed Sara pulled her legs up in front of her and observed Sammy. He was in Star's year, that much she knew, and he was friends with Kate, but she'd never met him before. He had a happy-go-lucky look about him, a huge smile, and overall a very nice looking boy. She'd seen him a few times around the castle, and in the magazine, but it was weird to see him in person. She'd always had a habit of watcing people, and of staring directly into their eyes when speaking. Some people were reasured by it, other, put off. "Well....they're kind of the same shape." she laughed as he said it was a banana; "I love clouds." she sighed, smiling up at the fluffy shapes. "They always remind me of sheep..." she commented, feeling completely at ease. Usually she'd stifle that kind of comment, but something told her Sammy wouldn't mind. "Yeah, it's cool-different points of view from everyone." she agreed, nodding her head absently.

"Do you play for your house team?" she asked, as he said he'd had fun in the match. It had been fun to watch, though she hadn't been supporting anyone-she didn;t really know any of the players."Yeah, I love it, I've been playing since my second year-I had a brief stint as a chaser, but it didn't really suit me." she agreed, she did have fun-she adored quidditch. She watched Sammy's reaction closely, seeing his expression as the penny dropped, and grinning at the result. She covered her ears in mock horror as he yelled, laughing at his reaction; "Yeah, Kate's my twin, and Star's my little sister-they've talked about you." she explained, laughing at the expression on his face; "I don't mind yelling, a bit of yelling can be healthy." she grinned, winking at Sammy.

Oh dear God, I'm sorry for the length! :tut:
If there was one thing Samual loved doing, it was making people happy, he liked seeing the happy smiles of others, because it made him feel good, and it made others feel good to smile. He mirrored her smile with his own and laughed softly. ''I only like being alone when I'm reading, but even then I'd prefer someone to join me and either read with mme, or talk to me.'' Samual was one of those people that had to communicate with others, because if he didn't, he'd grow timid and scared rather quickly. He really relied on his family and friends to keep him going, he'd surely die of loneliness and boredom if he didn't have them to lean on and help out. Samual nodded, he understood the need to be alone, even if he rarely wanted to be alone, he knew times when he would have rathered being left alone, like when annalie made him cry, looking back on that, he would have rather her never showing up in his life, she wwas still tterrorizing him, but he had bbeen keeping himself busy with everything, he'd taken up extra homework, practiced his writing wwith his niece, and spent the majority of his days talking and playing with his friends, especially Lola, he may fancy her just aa little bit, she wwas just wonderful, and really pretty and nnice, and funny. He shook his head from his daydreams and smiled meekly when he registered that he was blushing. "Gryffindor, I'm in Gryffindor.'' e answered. Sometimes Samual had to question his house choice, because Gryffindor was full of people that spent their time in the Forbiddon Forest, and were all brave and stuff, but Sammy didn't see himself as brave, he'd never been in the forest unless he was physically dragged in there for class or something, but otherwise he didn't go near it. Atleast he wasn't in Slytherin, because the dungeons were really scary, and ravenclaw Tower was so high up, he could barely scale the stairs to the Gryffindor Common room, he'd die if he needed to scale an extra staircase. Hufflepuff probabky wouldn't be too bad, most of the time they looked nice. But when he was about to say a rather late reply, she suddenly mentioned his shoes. Samual laughed and looked at his shoes, they were some of his fafavourites, for a boy, Sammy had mountains of clothes and shoes, because he didn't like wearing the same clothes too often, sometimes this annoyed Lisa, whom brought all his clothes, and he knew it annoyed Jack, because he would aalways be stuck with Samual's trunk since the Gryffindors arms would grew tired from pulling it all tthe time. Such hard work! ''Don't worry, I like shoes too.'' He said laughing, though he doubted he liked shoes as mmuch aas Sara obviously did.

Samual shrugged, there were certainly similarities between a banana and a pirates sword, but not many. ''I don't know about you, but I've never grabbed a banana, thinking it was a pirates sword.'' He joked, nodding at her confession. Clouds really were something, they reminded Sammy was fluffy bunnies, or fluffy kittens, or even puppies, all those really adorable fluffy tthings that some people overlooked for whatever reason they found. ''So do I.'' He agreed, smirking wwhen Sara said that they rreminded her of sheep, that was another one, he'd never considered sheep before. ''They remind me of rabbits! " He said laughing at how differently people could view the same tthing, which made her next sentence very true, it was nice to see things differently, but still be able to aagree in the end. Sure Sammy and Sara saw clouds as vvery different things, bbut at the end if the day, they tstill were able tto agree that clouds were fantabulous. ''I like how people don't really care that everyone ssees them differentky, because at the end of tthe dday, everyone can agree that a cloud, is still a cloud.'' He explained. ''And that sort of unites everyone opinions because no one can say that it's wrong, or stupid, because it's true.'' He added, rolling his shoulders and fixing his posture so he wouldn't get a sore back.

Samual shook his head. ''No, I never actually tried out for it.'' He explained, pulling on his sleeve. ''My friend Khione was supposed to be the Christmas quidditch Seeker.'' He explained, smiling at the thought of his little part-goblin friend, even if his friendship with her earnt him the insulting nickname of 'part-goblin lover', that didn't mean he didn't want to be her friend. ''But she couldn't play, so I decided that I would do it instead and asked Professor Blaze if I could switch in for her, and he said yyes.'' He finished. Professor Blaze was easily Samual's favourite professor, even iif everyone else in the school seemed tto hate him, even Samual's own sister hated the Herbology Professor. ''But I never even thought about joining the Gryffindor team before, they seem so angry all ththe titime.'' He explained. If there wwas one thing Samual wouldn't bbe able tto stand, was aa whole team o people hating him or being angry because they lost or something, he'd feel so guilty, but he'd feel the need to ccongratulate tthe other team, he'd bbe so torn. ''Chaser looks hard, having to zoom around with the Quaffle, hoping that yyou wouldn't be hit in tthe head with a bludger... I'd be freaking out the whole time, I'd rather stay seeker if anything, it's nicer.'' He explained with a nod. Sara's reaction to his outburst was hilarious, and made him suffer another round of llaughter, he was sure to get aa stich. The resemblence should have told him, he guessed tthat Star and Kate were sisters from their similarities, how coukd he not get the ssame with Sara? She was Kate's twin for Merlin's sake. It was settled, Samual woukd have toto wear his glasses more, because obviously his sight didn't stop at reading small writing. ''I fear I'll have tto wear my glasses more!" He joked. ''You're twins and I didn'tt even realize it, I feel so silly.'' He admitted, shaking his head and letting his curls go everywhere as they usually ddid. He smiled as she mentioned tthat they've spoken aabout him, hopefully they wewere good tthings, otherwise it would bbe a little disheartening. ''I hope they'rre ggood things.'' He said, voicing his tthoughts mistakenly, but he didn't oveoverly mind, there wwas nothing wrong with voicing your ththoughts, aas long as they didn't hurt others. He nodded slightly, yelling was okay, but if someone was yelling out of ananger, it was scary. ''Not if someone's anger at you.'' He countered playfully.

No Problem :p

Sara smiled as Sammy answered her. He was refreshingy open, and nice-just a normal, decent person. No hidden agenda-and she'd become far too used to people having secret reasons for everything they did. It was nice to be able to take someone at face value. "Same, but our house...well, we don't see too much of each other, though I'm really close to my parents." she replied, picking pieces of grass and throwing them into the air. They floated down toward the ground and she followed them with her liquid chocolate eyes. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?" she asked, beginning to make a daisy chain. She'd loved doing it when she was younger, and every now and then she made them, the simpleness, the familiarity of the process was comforting.
Sara smiled as Sammy laughed, obviously his mind was elsewhere, but she let his mind wander. She knew what it felt like to feel embarrassed by one's own thoughts. It happened a lot around Jake. Even thinking about Jake could make her cheeks turn pink. However, after a while she'd managed to accept the fact that he had that effect on her. However, they'd been distanced and she really missed him. She was glad of the distraction as Sammy returned to Planet Earth. "Cool!" she grinned; "I'm a Raven myself." she added, with a wink. Winking had really become her thing recently. She wasn't exactly sure whether or not she should continue with it, as she thought it was quite often interpreted as cheeky, or micheivous. She was both those things, but it wasn't best for people to know that at first glance. She laughed out loud at Sammy's response to her talking about shoes; "I'm bordering on obsession, though luckily I don't tend to buy all the shoes I fall in love with." she replied, through bursts of giggles. She really liked shoes, and she had to keep herself in check, to make sure she didn't overspend. Every now and then she did overspend, and she usually felt extermely guilty and ended up returning whatever she bought. Her Dad encouraged her to buy things, apparently it looked better to his business associates if his family dressed well. It seemed stupid to Sara somehow, but she knew that in the future, one of them, or all of them would have to run the family business, so she tried to pay as much attention to his advice as possible.

"Or worse-grabbing a pirate sword thinking it was a banana-that could be a bad outcome." she lughed in response. A throat cut to threads-a very bad outcome indeed. "Yeah, you're right I guess-it'd never happen." she smiled, searching around the grass to find another daisy. There was a clump of them to her right, and she shuffled over toward it. There were plenty here. Her daisy chain was about half done, and it was fine. She smiled to herself, glad that she hadn't cut her nails. They were long and elegant at the moment, which was unusual. Her nails usually broke, but she was wearing clear nail varnish, which reinforced their strength. She layed a finger against her cheek thoughtfully as Sammy talked once more about clouds. "Now, you're going to have to explain that connection to me" she grinned, her buried accent resurfacing slightly. Sara had never had a particularly strong Irish accent, and since she now spent most of her time in New Zealand, and a lot of time in England, her accent had been gradually diluted. It helped when she was putting on accents for drama, but other than that, it just meant she had very clear diction. "Why rabbits?" she asked, punturing the stem of a daisy It broke and she frowned, picking another one. She hated when that happened. "I know, there's no argument-a cloud, is a cloud, is a cloud. No argument. Unless of course you wanted to be more technical and call it drops of liquid that have condensed from water vapour to form cumulus, stratus or cirrus." she nswered, letting her tongue run away with itself. She hated sounding like a dork, or know-it-all, but sometimes it happened, somehow she didn't particularly mind around Sammy.

"Professor Blaze is cool-I actually liked him as Deputy Headmaster. Even though I teased him a bit in Hogwarts Monthly." she commented, as she finished her daisy chain; "Vóila!" she exclaimed, plopping it onto her head. "Do you want one? I can make it for you." she asked, picking more daisies. She wanted to make another one, so if Sammy didn't want it she'd just give it to someone else. She grinned as he spoke about quidditch. It was the best game on Earth, and she loved it. She'd never been into hurling, or gaelic, but giver her broom and she'd fly for Ireland. "I love seeking, thouh they do get injured most. It's just so calm, just you and the sky." she smiled, thinking back over her four years on a broom. First year didn't count. She hadn't been on the team. She laughed at Sammy's exclamation; "Nah, not really-I've darker skin than Kate, and we're not identical, so lots of people don't realise." she replied. She'd never really mided that people didn't realise they were twins. "I suppose yes, but sometimes it's needed to...let off steam." she answered. She wasn't good at expressing herself, or talking about her problems. She knew that she should be able to, but she wasn't good at letting people know how she felt.

Samual nodded as Sara seemed to be talking about her family, usually, Samual skipped out on the whole family topic, he often spoke about Tamalia, and thought of his remaining siblings, but he rarely addressed his parents, or a particular sibling by name at all, because it made him uncomfortable, and having all of that hurt being rubbed in his face by a girl a while back realy hurt him and also aided in his refusing to speak about much of his family. But he felt he knew Sara, because she was a prefect, and if she was anything like her sisters, which she was very quickly proving to be just like them, she was probably just as nice and understanding as they were. It was new, and nice to know that there were still regular people out there, because things had been ridiculously dark as of late and it was so frustrating. But what he was shocked by was that she didn't see much of everyone, how could she bare it? Samual could barely go three days without seeing Tamalia lurking around the place and saying a cheery hello to her. But he was much the same with his parents, he could barely go three days without having some sort of contact with them, which was why when they died it hit him so badly, and the fact that everything seemed to change after that, it didn't seem fair. But that was in the past and he was trying to overlook it, and not let it dictate his life. "Parents are really great." He commented, deciding that he had to say something, so he kept it neutral, instead of commenting directly on any parent, he commented on them as a whole, it was easier to do than to single out either Sara's parents, or his own parents that were gone now. He smiled slightly as he followed the blades of grass with his emerald eyes, and then nodded to her question. This was going to be a mouthfull. "I have nine siblings, two nieces, and a niece or nephew on the way." He explained. They were spread all over the place though. Abbey and Amanra were travelling all over the place, while Jack was still in England, but atleast he paid visits now. While Ben was gone... so it was only Tess, Lisa, Tamalia, Hamish, Bethany and Samual that lived at the manor, and his nieces and Lisa's partner. Samual shrugged. He dind't see Gryffindor as being 'cool', since it also seemed to have a rivalry with Slytherin, and he didn't get it half the time. But he didn't contradict her, because some people found that really annoying, and he felt that he'd just befriended her, he didn't want to turn this into a fight or anything. But her being in Ravenclaw was cool, she must have been pretty fit, because Samual'd surely die of a heartattack if he tried to climb all thos stairs. "How do you handle the stairs?" He asked curiously. "I went to the Divination Professors office once and the whole time I was walking up the stairs I was dying." He explained. Samual really disliked stairs, they were obviously evil and wanted to make him fall. He laughed when she winked at him again, she seemed to be doing it a lot. it was probably a habit of hers, like Samual had the habit of messing around with his hair in classes or when he was concentrating or talking to someone, it was just habit and it wasn't really looked into much. Samual shook his head. "I hate when I'm shopping or something and there's something really nice, and I really want it, but my better judgement tells me to not buy it." He confessed, shaking his head and laughing with her. Samual did a lot of his own shopping, because Lisa was still confused with Magical items, and Tamalia wouldn't shop for him, while Tess was heavily pregnant, so taking her anywhere was dangerous because her temper was very short these days. So occasionally he would take Hammy and Beth shopping with him, so not only would he have to make sure he didn't buy 'useless junk' for himself, he also had to keep two three years old in line. It ever seemed to work much at all. Hamish and Bethany would walk all over him.

Samual cringed as he thought of the horrible mistake, it didn't sound good at all. "That would really hurt." He muttered, his nose crinkling as he thought about the pain, and the very bad outcome of that sort of mistake. Shaking his head to try and drop the point from his mind, he flicked his curls out of his eyes and smiled slightly. "I think that sort of mistake would be even harder to actually do without realising it, but goodness it would hurt a lot." Samual watched Sara hop over to a cluster of daisies curiously, but didn't say ahything, mainly because she asked him a question. He looked up at the cloud-filled sky, it was covered with clouds, but thankfully they were all a light fluffy white colour, not a dark black colour. He though about his answer before giving it. "Well... I like rabbits, they're little and fluffy and really cute." He explained, shaping a rabbit-like image out of thin air with his hands. "And they hop around and twitch their noses. I just really like them and that's probably why I see clouds as rabbits, instead of sheep." He said with a shurg, he wasn't entirely sure, but he was positive that his love for the fluffy creatures played a part in it. He laughed when Sara got all technical with him, he had next to no idea what she was talking about, he knew that clouds were basically made of water or something, but the rest flew right over his head as he sat and looked at her with a slightly confused look on his face. "I have no idea what you said!" He confessed, laugh and putting his hands on his cheeks, which were starting to get sore from all the laughing. It sometimes happened, but not often since Samual laughed a lot and seemed to always be smiling.

Samual nodded in agreement, he hadn't realised that Sara worked with the Hogwarts monthly, he was new there and had only met one 'co-worker', but he had already known her since... forever. His niece, Nadia. It seemed that as time passed and he got to know Sara more, more excuses as to why she was familiar would crop up out of nowhere, it was crazy! "I didn't realise you worked at the Hogwarts Monthly, maybe that's where I know you from?!" Samual shook his head, it truly was crazy. "I work there too, but I'm knew and I've only officially met my niece, Nadia, and you ofcourse." He explained with a slightly nod. Even thought Nadia was his niece, she was two years older than him, and was adopted. It was really confused because she started out as a very close friend, but then turned family, it was like a dream come true. When she exclaimed something, Smaual's attention was brought to a little crown thing made of daisies, so that was what she was up to, it looked fantabulous, and when she asked if he wanted one, he visibly brightened and nodded happily. "I'd love one, it looks fantabulous!" He said, watching her make another one curiously. They looked really cool and he really wanted to know how to make one, so he decided to learn by watching. "I really liked chasing the Snitch, and when I was just looking for it I liked watching the game a little bit to see how everyone was going." He agreed. Quidditch was fun, and having a brother for a Quidditch player meant that he felt like he had to keep up-to-date with the sport in order to support him better. He shook his head. "Yeah, but it's not like you look totally different from one another, knwo that you told me you're sisters, I actually see the resemblences. It's silly." He explained, tsking at himself and his apparently blindness. He thought about what she said for a moment. Samual never really yelled to let of steam, he usually cried it out once in awhile. But everyone worked differently. "I see what you mean, sometimes screaming and letting it all out is probably the best thing to do."

Sara knew it was a bit weird that she didn't spend that much time with her sisters anymore, and nobody spent time with Ryan anymore. Ever since they were kids, it had been Star and Kate, Ryan and Sara. Ryan and her had caused mischief together, and had fun, while their twins were more practical. she really missed him. Of course, she had been close to Kate, but she felt the distance was good for them. Sara had her strengths, and Kate had hers, and they just didn't mix. They were very different people. Things were alright now, but Sara knew they'd never have that strength again. They'd been extremely close as a family unit, and now..Kate's illness had seperated her, and driven their parents mad with worry, Star was too shy to speak up about the situation...and Ryan, Ryan had abandoned them Sara was to blame too, of course. She'd disappeared over the past few months. Her parents had thought there was something wrong at first, their mind skipping back over Kate's eating disorder, and Ryan's declining social skills, but there was nothing wrong. She'd just needed time to herself, to find out who she was without her family. "Yeah, they are." she agreed, absenty as she thought about her family situation. It wasn't the best, but it could be worse.

She blinked a few times, and zoned back in on the conversation, just in time to hear Sammy's answer; "Nine siblings! Wow-you're so lucky! I wish I had older brothers and sisters-I assume you do if you have a niece, and a baby on the way." she exclaimed. Obviously the sister, or brother who had a child was older than Sammy-it'd be a bit odd if they weren't. She'd always wanted an older sibling, but she was the eldest in their family-albeit by a few minutes. Kate had always seemed older, she was taller than Sara and more responsible. Sara had always been a bit silly. Her Mother always told her she'd been a performer since the day she was born. As a baby she used to giggle and laugh at visitors, and as she got older it became more apparent. All the Moons loved music, but Sara was the one who loved acting. Kate played practically every instrument under the sun, and Ryan was a great guitarist. She laughed as Sammy asked about the stairs. "Well, it's a great way to keep fit for quidditch!" she half-joked; "It took me a while to get used to them, but once you do, it doesn't really bother you anymore. Unfortunately for me, I don't do divination or History of Magic, so most of my subjects are lower down in the caslte." she explained. She'd hated the stairs when she first came to Hogwarts, but she loved the towers location; "Anyway-the view from our window is worth the climb.." she commented, frowning at a daisy as she tried to poke it's stem through the hole; "I thought the Gryffindor common rooms were in one of the towers too, but the Houses gaurd their secrets carefully, and none of my siblings are Lions, so I couldn't be sure." she added absently, her eyes screwed up in concentration; "Ah-Ha!" she breathed as she finally got the stem through the tiny hole. "..Um...sorry..." she apologised awkwardly as she realised she'd spoken aloud.

Shhe laughed as Sammy contemplated her reply; "Yeah, that would definetly hurt!" she agreed, touching her own neck subconciously. She hate people touching her neck, it terrified and revolted her. She didn't know why-it just always had. "Yes, and their fur is so soft!" she nodded enthusiastically. now that he explained it, she understood what he meant. Sara had never been embarassed about not knowing something, and if someone else did, she was only too glad for them to tell her about it. She blushed slightly as she realised she'd confused Sammy. He was probably from a wizarding family, and had never gone to muggle school. That was where she'd learned about cliuds. "Well, there are three main types of clouds." she began; "There are the really light ones, like faint brush-strokes across the sky-they're called cirrus clouds, then there's the fluffy ones, which are called cumulus, and then there's stratus clouds. they're low-lying and misty. they nearly always bring rain." she'd always liked geography in muggle school-it was a shame she'd had to give it up, but she wouldn't swap her magic classes for anything-especially not Defence Against The Dark Arts.

Sara grinned as Sammy revealed that he was part of the Howarts Monthly staff. She remembered reading something by a Samual-was that him? "Wait-you're Samual Kaster-you did the Christmas section!" she realised, slapping her hand against the grass in reognition. "I do the horoscopes and End of an Era." she explained, at a slightly lower decible. Something he said caught her attention; "Nadia McKay, she's older than me!" she exclaimed, yet she was Sammy's niece? Very confusing. She smiled as Sammy agreed to having a daisy chain. "Okey dokey!" she replied, beginning his chain, glad to have something to do. "I know, it's magical up there, I love it, I mean as seeker, we're usually even higher than the other players." she loved quidditch. "By the way-nice word." she grinned, looking up at him. "Fantabulous-I'm guessing it's a hybrid of Fantastic and Fabulous?" she smiled. It was a good word, and it suited Sammy perfectly. "We didn't look at all alike when we were younger, but my hair's darker now, and so we look more alike." she agreed, her and Kate did look sort of alike now, but not incredibly so-no one had mistaken her for Kate so far-which was a good thing, it could make things rather confusing. "Yeah, as long as I'm not screaming at someone." she agreed, nodding at Sammy, she had a terrible temper, but she'd been exerting more control over herself, and was less likely to blow up at people now. She finished Sammy's chain, tying a neat knot in the end; "There you go King Sammy." she intoned solemnly, placing the daisy chain on his head.

Samual got the feeling that Sara wasn't as enthusiastic about family as he did, but then again he was raised to love his family, no matter what. Because family was family and even if you hate them, you're still connected and will always share something, even if some of his cousins didn't think that, but he rarely saw them, in fact, he couldn't even remember their names, but that was because one side were Muggles, that didn't understand, nor appriciate magic, while the other side were pure-bloods, that didn't understand, nor appriciate that blood status didn't really mean much at all. Two different extremes, no wonder why there was predujice in the world. Samual nodded slowly. Having older siblings was okay, but as usual, there were downsides to every situation in life. Sometimes he found it difficult to connect with his older siblings because of the personality differences. Most of them were very serious people, and could only on occasion be playful, or they had no interest in hanging out with Samual because they had a totally different opinion on what was fun and exciting. Another annoying thing was that he was treated like a breakable china-doll, he was never told anything that could possibly effect their lives because everyone seemed to think that if Samual was let in on any family problems-and he knew there were some, he'd die or something. Now that he had Hamish and Bethany living with them all, everyone still didn't change their views. Samual was still the baby that had to be treated as such, he was sure even Hamish and Bethany were treated as if they were responsible, and they were three! "Yeah, I'm one of the youngest, there are only two that are younger than me. They're three." He explained. Even his youngest niece was three, she was adorable and Samual loved her, in fact, he loved all three of them, even if they tended to gang up on him and would sometimes manage to trip him over and attack him, he couldn't do a think about it either, since he'd get in trouble off his sister if he even glared at them.

Samual thought about it, then nodded, being fit probably helped people a lot, though upper-arm fitness was probably more important, even though flying and controlling a broom could strain some peoples legs. "I guess so, but you'd have to be careful, imagine tripping over and then falling down all those steps... that would probably hurt more than thinking a pirates sword was a banana... maybe." Samual was suprised slightly that Sara was used to the stairs at all, he still couldn't stand going to Astronomy because he would get a stitch or something on the way up, one time he nearly slipped over because his feet seemed to get heavier with every step. It was much easier to go down stairs than up. Samual did most of the classes, though he didn't do Arithmancy, because he happened to see some of the work Nadia did when she was in third year doing it and decided tha he wouldn't go near the subject, there were far too many numbers for his brain to register, just thinking about it all made his head hurt, and how could he enjoy a class that gave him headaches? The only other classes he didn't really like were Potions, because it was in the Dungeons, and Defence Against the Dark Arts, because Professor Styx was scary. "But if you did do those classes, you'd have to be walking all over the school, as well as doing classes that are in lower levels." He reasoned. Samual glanced up at the Towers and nodded, Sara was right, the view was amazing, whenever Samual could be bothered to actually walk up the stairs, atleast he wasn't disappointed with the view, because from the right Tower window, you could see all the grounds, and sometimes you could see people having fun on the lawns and swimming, if you had good eyes, so Samual agreed fully with her, because he also really loved heights, he was one of those people that could fly up into the air, look down and not feel scared. He was really comfortable with heights, and so loved the Towers, it was just annoying having to get to the Towers. Samual smiled and nodded. The Gryffindor Common rooms were in the Towers, but not as high as the Ravenclaw Common rooms, he knew that for a fact since he had gone to the Ravenclaw enterance to wait for Nadia on occasion, since he couldn't actually step inside the Common room, it could sometimes be quite a wait, since the entrance wouldn't even open up just a little bit so he could call for her, it was quite rude. "They are, sort of, but not as high up as the Ravenclaw Common room, so it's so much easier." He explained. It was amazing how much difference one staircase could make when you're climbing it.

Samual broke into laughter as once again Sara randomly shouted, he was starting to expect it and even predict it, which would probably make her more embarrassed than she already was. "Don't worry about it." He soothed, if she shouts so loud that trees fall down. then he might have something negative to say about it, but for now it was fine. Samual stick his tongue out childishly, the subject of bananas and pirate swords was getting crazy, soon they'd be talking about trying to peel a pirates sword, which would potentially be interesting to watch, if such a thing could ever be done. Samual was glad that she agreed with him on the subject of rabbits, they really were great, but unfortunately he didn't get a rabbit to bring to Hogwarts New Zealand, he had a raven named Corvin, because that was such a nice name. "I really like how when they hop around and stuff, their little tails wiggle." He said smiling. Rabbit were a really cute animal, and if anyone denied it, then they obviously didn't know what a rabbit was. Samual nodded as Sara explained to him about clouds. He wasn't sure where she learnt something like that, it was really interesting. When he was really young, Samual attended a muggle school, but that was only for a few months because he found it difficult to communicate with the muggle children and would become frustrated when he realised that not only could he not talk about his family too much, but he couldn't invite people home, and the kids didn't understand why he saw things completely different to them. So he was taken out and then later he just stayed home, so sometimes he lacked knowledge on certain things, but mostly he thought he knew enough to get by, he never thought about learning about clouds. It sounded a little complicated, because Samual saw a cloud as a cloud, sometimes he'd call it an angry cloud, but otherwise he still considered it a cloud none-the-less, to hear that there were three different types of cloud just made him shake his head slowly. "Don't try and explain it, I'll just get more confused." He admitted. He doubted that he'd ever need the knowledge, but it was pretty cool that Sara knew that sort of stuff, general knowledge was always cool. "But you never know, I might learn it in Muggle Studies next year." He added. Samual liked Muggle Studies, he also liked his Professor, she was really nice, but when she first greeted them, she forgot her own name, so she was a little goofy too.

Samual clapped his hands together and nodded happily. "Yeah I did, I really love Christmas, it's a shame I don't celebrate it that much..." He admitted. Being magical sucked. In his fourteen years of life, he had only celebrated Christmas twice, and it had to be one of the best holiday celebrations ever, who didn't love a day that was spent with family, friends and the exchanging of presents and sitting down and eating a gigantic meal together? As she told him that she did the horoscopes, he smiled. "I like those, I think I'm a Leo or something, which I find funny, because I'm in Gryffindor, and they're both got something to do with Lions!" Sometimes the most simplest things got Samual excited, because he was an excitable person and sometimes appriciated the littler things in life, like the 'amazing' coincidence that he was a Leo, and was in Gryffindor. When Sara commented on Nadia's age, he nodded, Nadia was a Sixth year, while Kate was a Fifth year, and since Sara was Kate's twin, he figured that she was in the same year. "Yeah, she's in Sixth year. Because of certain circumstances, my sister adopted her, and now she's my niece. But sometimes I forget." He explained, that would probably make it a little clearer for her, though he wasn't going to go into why Nadia was adopted, because he wasn't sure of Nadia's standing on the issue, since she never spoke about it, so he wasn't going to talk about it without her verbal okay, because that would be rude. Samual agreed, he really liked how windy it was, even if that seemed to make some people cautious. "I like the wind in my curls, it feels really nice." Samual really loved people touching his hair, it tickled and felt nice, aslong as they didn't pull on his hair, because that really hurt. "Thankyou, it's one of my favourite words." Fantabulous seemed to have the power to make people happier, it certainly made Samual happier. Sometimes he would playfully think about whether it was a happy spell or something, but they were always sarcastic thoughts. "Yeah it is." He answered. It was easy to tell, but occasionally people amazed him by asking him what the two words were, he thought it was obvious. "That's like the oposite for my and my older siblings." He explained in amazement, his easy-to-please personality coming out again. "I used to have straight blonde hair like everyone else, and I used to be super pale. But as I grew older, my skin darkened, my hair curled and I'm a brunette! My childhood friends that I having seen for ages probably wouldn't recognise me." He elaborated. Samual looked more like his father than his other siblings, though Samual wasn't exactly tan, he was a lot darker than his nearly snow coloured siblings. In all honesty, Samual couldn't imagine Sara screaming at someone, but if someone was angry enough, they could be totally out-of-character. Samual watched her finish the daisy thing curiously, it looked really cool, and he chuckled quietly as she 'crowned' him. "Why thankyou Queen Sara." He repliedin a mock English accent. "How do you make these things?" He finally asked, his curiousity finally getting the better of him.

Sara's hair was blowing into ther face, but she didn't particularly mind. Her thoughts were concentrated elsewhere. Her family's distance really upset her Mother, and she was thinking that maybe she could organise a trip or something, and maybe if they could sort Ryan out, it'd help their Mam. She hated the way things were now. She'd begged Sara t go back to the way things had been with Kate, but she couldn't. She'd have done anything for her Mther, but there wasn't a way they could go back. They were civil, but it wasn't enough for Sophie Moon. her Father...well she loved him, and he adored all of his children, but he was really piling on the pressure about the exams. She didn't want to live hi life for him. He was successful yea, but he felt he missed being passionate about what he was doing. That was the reason he was pressuring her so much. She didn't know how it was for Kate, maybe he was going easier on her, because of her illness, or because she was younger, but she hated it, and she couldn't wait until the exams were over. "They must be adorable!" she gushed, she loved kids, and loved hanging with them. Kids were so much easier to get along with. You just had to be nice, and play with them. She'd always found it easy to get along with younger kids, much more so than people her own age. Children enver questioned you, they just enjoyed themselves, and sometimes she wished she could still be like that; "Sometimes I really wish I could be a little kid again." she sighed, looking back up at Sammy.

She laughed as Sammy replied; "I've fallen a few times, yeah, but nothing particularly serious." she answered, picking some grass and twisting it into a tiny little braid. Part of her suspected it was some kind of magic on the stairs that she'd never been hurt seriously. She loved the castle, all it's secrets and little tricks. She couldn't imagine leaving, but she had so little time left, and she was dreading the end. "Yeah, but if my classes were near the common room, I wouldn't really have to go downstairs at all, I'm studying a lot this year, and we have far more work to do, so my social life is basically shot." she frowned, glancing at Sammy; "I only kept up Charms, Potions, Transfiguration, Herbology and Defence Against the Dark Arts, all of them are down lower." she continued, smiling slightly. She'd only kept up the subjects needed to become an auror, and she couldn't wait for her job to begin. Still, maybe she could eventually come back as a Professor, and if she didn't get Professor, her kids would be coming here anyway. She grinned as Sammy told her that the Gryffindor's were high up too. "We can see all the other towers from different parts of our tower, so I can probably see the Lions common room." she smiled, taking out a hair tie and tying her hair up high on her head.

Sara laughed aloud as Sammy excused her shouting; "Yeah, I'm sort of...loud...me and my sisters aren't very similar-in some ways." she explaine. Sure, they all liked music and reading, but Sara liked acting, whereas Kate liked playing instruments, and Star wasn't particularly comfortable on display. Sara relished it. she never felt more alive than when she was on stage, never felt more like herself than when she was pretending to be someone else. "I know, though when I was younger I thought they were all like the one in Alice In Wonderand, and had little watches and gloves." she grinned, looking up into the clouds, as she explained about them. She blushed when sammy told her to stop. there she went again, sounding like a know-it-all. She didn't mind if she didn't understand things, enjoyed it when people explained it to her, but other people didn't. Ever since she was little, she'd taken an interest in information, in learning. Sadly, others didn't see it the way she did and she often felt the brunt of it when she knew things others didn't. "Maybe, yeah-what other subjects did you keep on?" she asked, changing the subject quickly.

Sara agreed with Sammy, nodding her head enthusiastically. "I love Christmas." she agreed. Christmas was one of her favourite holidays. Every year, her father did the roast turkey, and stuffing. Her mother did the vegetables, and the gravy, and the kids helped out where they could. Sara always ended up stirring the gravy-her favourite part of any meal. every Christmas morning, she used to sing Happy Birthday to the figurine of Baby Jesus in their manger. Christmas was the best time of year, for visiting family and giving gifts. She'd always loved giving gifts. Getting presents was great, but often it was more fun to do the opposite. Sh alughed at Sammy's link between his star sign and his House. "That's so cool! Coincidence-me thinks not." she beamed, she herself was a Taurus, stubborn and overly-passionate. She didn't comment on his explanation about Nadia, it was pretty cool, but it was none of her business; "It must've been good to have someone you knew here when you started." she smiled, not wanted to pry. She smiled as he confirmed her thoughts about his words. "That's what happened with Ryan-my brother. He used to look a lot like me, but now his hair is lighter, and he looks more like Star." she commented, as she crowned Sammy. When he asked how to do it, she picked a handful of daisies and moved beside him to demonstrate; "You take a daisy..and pierce it with your nail until theres a slit in the stem..like this." she demonstrated; "Then, you slip the stem of the next daisy through and lit it again, you can keep doing it forever if you want." she finished, showing him again.

Better than my lateness. xD

Samual laughed slightly. Sara was right, Hamish and Bethany were very adorable, but they were also a handful. Whenever Samual found himself babysitting them, they would always take advantage of him and manipulate him to do their bidding. Since Sammy was admittedly an emotional person, whenever one of his siblings was upset, he was upset also, and therefore would try his best to make them happy again. This would include singing, dancing and just making a total fool of himself in front of his younger siblings, so they would laugh, rather than cry. "They are really cute, but they have trouble saying my name." He explained. Thanks to Samual's older brother, they were accustomed to calling him toothfairy, or fairy, simply because Samual had to hide his wand from them and it just went down hill from there, and the fact that Jack was a big meanie that thrived in poking fun at Sam at any chance he could find. "They're not so much fun when they cry, or pull my hair though. They seemed to really like pulling my hair, and it really hurts!" He added. If there was one thing that would make Samual slightly angry at any of his siblings, it would be when they pulled his hair. Since he was the only one with a full head of curls, they all seemed to enjoy pulling it all the time, even though it seriously hurt a lot and no-one liked having their hair pulled, not to Samual's knowledge. But the biggest offenders where Hamish and Bethany, because they never let go and would have their little hands wet with Merlin knew what and would rub it all through his curls. Samual thought about Sara's sort of confession, in all honesty, he wouldn't want to be a little kid, but maybe ten again. Things were fun when he was ten, it was a time before he knew he had to leave home and everything. It was just nice. "I wish I was ten again. I wouldn't want to be much younger, but ten was fun." Considering Samual was only fourteen, there was only so many years he could wish to re-visit, which was why it was such an odd though for him whenever he thought it. He was still a kid.

Samual nodded. "Knowing my luck, I'd tumble all the way down to the bottom and break every bone in my body." He joked. Funnily enough, Sammy had only ever broken one bone, and it was his little toe, so nothing to really stress about. His father didn't even bother looking at it and just told Sam to walk it off. Surprisingly, broken little toes really hurt when you walked on them, and most of the time Sammy decided it was just better to hop about. Samual frowned, he wasn't sure what he'd do it he couldn't talk to people, he was sure he'd die without having someone to talk to. "Maybe you should form a study group or something, that's what I'd do." He suggested. Sammy usually studied alone, but lately he had been spending more time with people and found that he missed being a chatterbox. Now that he had a few friends in his own year, he was sure if he really wanted to he could form some sort of study circle and study together, maybe form some memories and have fun, while learning too, it seemed perfect! "Studying is always more fun when you have someone to do it with, just try not to get too distracted, otherwise you might not get anything done!" He added. While spending time with people was good for the soul, it wasn't always good for the grades, and if having a study group ended up distracting her more than helping her, then it might be better to not form one. "Well if you have to, I guess you have to dash down all those stairs." He said with a shrug. "I would suck though if he were running late or something." He added. Samual tapped his chin in thought, then smiled. "Maybe you can, but that's top secret stuff, so I don't think I can tell you." He teased, poking his tongue at her.

Samual nodded. "Don't worry, loud is good!" Coming from a large family, small conversations often turned into clash of the Titans, and the house was rarely quiet, even now, some Samual was much more accustomed to noise and loud people, rather than very quiet people. Not that he couldn't work with both, but sometimes it was fun to meet someone that was just as fun and bubbly as himself for a change, so he could be the quiet one for a little bit and see how it felt. Sometimes the way to be most sociable was to be quiet. "I think life would be a bit boring if we were the same as our siblings, I think a little variety in the house makes for more fun!" He added. Sometimes Samual wished his siblings would loosen up a little and have more fun, and his younger siblings be a little less mean, but he knew that if everyone in his house were like him, nothing would get done and things would be totally crazy. Samual could already tell though that Sara, Kate and Star were very different, for starters, Star was always blushing whenever Samual met her, he put it down to that she was a shy person, but she was still a lot of fun. Kate seemed like a strong minded person, and really friendly, which seemed like a trait all the Moon girls shared, they all seemed really friendly, if only all of Samual's family would be like that. Most of Samual's siblings could be a little hostile to people, especially if they're in a bad mood or don't like the person. Samual didn't really come from a gentle family. When Sara mentioned something he hand't heard of before, he turned his head slightly in confusion. Sammy had never heard of Alice In Wonderland, but he'd have to remember whatever it was, or whoever Alice was. But he just nodded and trusted her thoughts. "Well I'm still taking all the classes I've been taking for awhile. All the cores and that, but I've been taking Muggle Studies, Care of Magical Creatures and Ancient Runes." He explained. He was still doing quite a few classes, but he really liked them, especially Herbology, and Muggle Studies had deinately been interesting, he sent an E-mail for the first time!

Samual nodded, and he was sure he shared her enthusiam for Christmas, even if he dind't know the entire meaning of Christmas, because it never really sunk in since he was always too busy running around, and his father didn't know much about it, so it was only his mother that tried to impliment Muggle traditions, but it didn't really work with Samual. He liked the traditions, but often forgot them because there were quite a few of them, and some dind't make much sense. "I like decorating the house with all the lights, that's really fun." He explained. That would be one of his favourite things about that holiday, putting up the lights and flipping the switch to make them all shine really brightly. Sometimes there would be small arguments on who turned them on, usually Jack would do it, simply because he was the fastest runner of the family. "I think it's funny, and lions arn't that bad, so it's nice. I like lions, as long as they're not in the same room as me." Sure, from afar lions looked cute and cuddle-worthy, but Sammy was quite sure a lion wouldn't have to many problems with eating him if it was angry and he got in its way. Samual thought about it for a few seconds. In a way, it was easier having a sibling before he went to school, but at the same time, it meant that people assumed hings about him sometimes, not so much anymore, but in first year Professors thought Sammy was going to be trouble, when he liked to think that he was a pleasent student. Then the fact that Tamalia and Nadia will be graduating soon, leaving Sammy alone, he wasn't used to not having them with him, when Tamalia first went to school Samual had Amanra, so it wasn't too bad. But when Tama and Nadi left Hogwarts, Sammy would be all alone. "It's nice, but sometimes it's not so nice. I think I'll miss them both when they graduate." He admitted. Samual was attached to his niece and sister, and he wasn't afriad to admit it. "I guess it's just how we work, maybe hair gets bored with its colour sometimes and changes. Who knows?" Samual wondered how many siblings Sara, Kate and Star had, he knew that there was atleast one more Moon, but the name of Ryan, and Sammy really wanted to meet him, but it wasn't the time to be asking to meet someones brother. Right now Sara was trying to teach him how to make the crown thingy's, and he followed her lead. He chuckled slightly. "Well... I don't want to do it forever, but maybe for a few minutes." He joked. piercing another stem with his nail. "This is strangely entertaining..." He mumbled in suprise. Who knew making daisy-crowns would be fun?

This is becoming a pattern :p

Sara grinned along with Sammy, he was lucky to still have younger family members-things were just getting worse and worse recently with her younger siblings. She really needed to meet up with Star-it had been too long since they'd talked properly. Star and her had never been as close as Ryan and Sara, but she loved her sister, and she'd been seeing her around the school recently with other students. She was getting better at making friends-which was great. They were in the same houe, but she rarely saw her in the Common Room. "What do they call you so?" she asked, wondering. Sammy wasn't a very hard name to say, though Samual would be more difficult. She had a pretty easy name to say, though it wasn't very Irish, so as a kid she used to be teased about it-Star had an unusual name. Kate was the one with a proer, Irish name. "Awww-poor Sammy." she laughed, messing up his hair on impulse. Sara didn't have many inhibitions, and she'd come toa stage where she figured that, if someone couldn't handle how she acted-they didn't have to be around her. She didn't have any younger cousins or anything, so her hair remained untouched, but she used to babysit their neighbours back in Ireland-a job that she loved doing. There were three of them, two boys and one girl. They were so free-they didn't care what people thought about them, and as kids-boys and girls treated each other the same. There were no awkward silences and stammered conversations. "Yeah, ten was a good age, though I'd prefer maybe seven, or eight." she replied, smiling. She'd been bullied at the age of ten, by a girl in her class. She wouldn't want to go back to that.

Sara laughed as he spoke about falling; "I guess your lucky you're not in Ravenclaw so." she answered, smiling. She loved Ravenclaw, it was great to be a part of a family, and the house was very close. She'd always been able to talk to other Ravens and to older students within the House. She turned back to Sammy, as she had been absentmindedly playing with the edges of her playsuit. She looked up at Sammy's suggestion, grinning. "I would, but I'd get too distracted." she replied, with a wink. She could study but any ditraction completely hindered her. She nodded at what he said, but she knew it wouldn't work for her-she was't good at concentrating like that; "I've never been good at studying, it bores me." she explained, hugging her knees. She agreed with him about the stairs though; "There's no chance of running down those stairs, I'd probably get myself killed." she smiled, she wasn't worried. She was used to the stairs to Ravenclaw's Common Room at this stage. She stuck her tongue back out at Sammy; "Meanie!" she laughed, making a face at him, and thrwing a daisy at him.

Sara grinned at Sammy's answer; "Not may people think that." She'd tried to change, tried to be quieter, and more demure, but it didn't work. She'd spoken to her Dad about it thinking that her personality mightn't fit in with his new world, but he told her not to change. She was so grateful for that-her Dad always cheered her up. She liked being able to be herself with her family, and she was becoming better at being herself around other people. "Yeah, there's six of us, so things would be pretty slow-moving if we were all the same." she agreed, of course there were the servants as well. She really loved their Butler, Harry was lovely, she often sat and listened to his stories-he new her Great Aunt so much better than she had, and he was very interesting to listen to. She'd always lied the elderly, and Harry was in his sixties at this stage. She'd been really close to her Grandad, but he was gone now. Recently, Sara had become obsessed with death. it was terrifying. she constantly worried about her parents, and how long they had left. She wouldn't have them forever, and it terrified her. "Cool! What do you do in ancient Runes?" she asked, her head tilted inquisitively. She'd never done Ancient Runes, so she wasn't really sure what it was about.

Sara smiled wistfully, thinking about Christmas-it was one of her favourite times of year, she agreed with Sammy about the lights; "My Dad always does it. I'm too short." she replied, beaming. She'd love to be able to put up the lights, but she coudn't reach it, even with the ladder. She grinned at his reply; "Lions are epic! I don't buy into the whole 'dangerous' thing. I bet they're really friendly and are just misunderstood." she laughed. She wasn't really that naive, but it was a nice idea. "When you think of it-the Lion's the only House Animal that's dangerous really sure there's a snake-but most of them aren't poisonous. Raven's could peck your eyes out yes, and honey badgers are supposed to be vicous, but other than that....." she mused, her finger on her chin. She didn't actually mean this, of course, but she couldn't help wondering whether Sammy would take her seriously. She nodded as he spoke about his family; "I'm actually dreading leaving Hogwarts-I am not ready to be a grown up." she replied; "I dunno-maybe I could hide in someone's trunk after Seventh Year." she smiled, she didn't want to leave Hogwarts, it was her home now, more so than their home in England. She agreed with what he said about hair; "Yeah, when I was a baby I had jet black hair, which then turned a fair-is brown colour, which was dead straight-that obviously didn't last." She grinned as he tried the daisy chain; "I used to make them for the kids who lived next door to us." she grinned, as they made more daisy chains; "I know, there's somehting about the repitition." she agreed, piercing another stem.

Looky! I'm not late. :r :p
Samual ran his fingers through his curls when Sara asked him what Hamish and Bethany called him. It had to be the worst nickname for anyone ever, and Lucy called him it too, but she was also three, so he couldn't tell her not to either. "They call me Sam, or when they're feeling particularly mean and want my attention, they call me Fairy." He explained. "My little brother is scared of magic, so we try to hide it from him and when he saw my wand he started freaking out, so my older brother tried to explain everything to him and then he turned mean and just made up stuff." He added, just so then Sara would get a better understanding, and probably realise that Samual had a very strange family. Sammy laughed when Sara poked fun at him and messed his curls up, but it didn't take much to get them but into position, they were quite bouncy, so it never took much to put them back in place. Sam was just grateful that she didn't pull his hair, because having your hair pulled really hurt, but he loved people messing his hair up, because it felt nice playing with your hair. The ages of seven and eight were okay for Samual, they were the times before Tamalia was at school, and Amanra was still living with his parents. But they weren't his favourite time, since whenever Amanra and Tamalia would talk to him, it would be to tease him about anything and everything, they even teased him about being a boy, and about not being 'double digit' yet, even though both of them weren't ten either half the time. But he had often felt a little lonely back then as well, because Amanra and Tamalia would play together and hang out, and just leave Sam all by himself with no-one to hang out with, since he didn't go to a Muggle school and only occasionally visited other magical children, which included Nadia, since his father and her father were apparently friends, but he wasn't sure how, since his father had to be about ten years older than Nadia's was. But he tried not to think about either of their fathers, since it hurt that his own father wasn't coming back, and Nadia's father never failed to scare him half to death. "I'd still prefer to be ten, because my sisters Tama and Ami were mean to me back then." Part of the reason why Samual knew none of his siblings were mean to him anymore was the fact that he was admittedly the closest to their parents, and probably missed them more. It was like they expected him to fall apart if they even mentioned the words 'parent', 'father' or 'mother', and the Ben topic was strictly off limits in the house if Samual was around. It just made things worse in Samual's opinion, but they never listened to him, so he stopped bothering to suggest things to them.

Samual shrugged. "When I was sorted I wondered how'd I go in the other houses, but I think I would've been really lonely, because in my first year I was really quiet and mostly spent my time with my sister. So I was pretty lucky to be put in the same house as her I guess." Sammy nodded in understanding, the first rule about making a study group was to make sure that you actually ended up studying and not just sitting around with a bunch of books, giggling and laughing your brains out, otherwise it was just hanging out in a library, not actually studying. But whenever Samual went into the library, the librarian tended to watch him closely, because if he met someone in there, he'd turn into a massive chatterbox and make a lot of noise, even if he tried to keep everything on the down-low, it never worked. Mainly because Sammy was easily entertained and found most things fascinating and exciting. With a personality like that, it was difficult not to get excited and amazed by things, even the simplest things could get Samual excited for seemingly no reason. "Actually, I really like studying, because the subjects I have all interest me! I've never had a problem, but if I'm studying with someone else, then I might end up talking to them instead of actually studying." He explained. If Sammy liked something, he could read up on it for hours on end-if he was alone, which was why he tried his best to do any serious studying by himself so he wouldn't get distracted by people. He was very lucky to get subjects he actually enjoyed, especially with his electives, he picked them, but he wasn't entirely sure what they would include, so he was grateful that they weren't boring. "If you could get away with it, maybe you could ride your broom down the stairs... though you'd have to watch out for people so you don't crash-tackle anyone." When Samual thought about it, maybe it wasn't a good idea if Sara started scaling the stairs using a broom, especially since she was a prefect and it probably wasn't the best example to set for students, though it would be an interesting one. Whem Sara called him a 'Meanie' Samual put his hand on his heart in mock hurt. "How could you say such a thing?" He asked, allowing the daisy to hit him in the face and laughing moments later.

Samual shrugged. "I've been called loud a lot, so I can't really say it's wrong, now can I?" To Samual, you are who you are. Sometimes he wished that certain people would be a little different, maybe a little nicer or kinder, but when it came down to it, he didn't really force anyone ot be different, because then it was possibly for them to tell him to the different, and he never liked that, so why would he do that to someone else? "Besides, it's not right to tell people to change, you just have to alter yourself so things are better." He added. A small smile made its way on his face as Sara told him that there were six of them, most people would think that a large family, presuming they had both their parents with them. That would be eight. But Samual's household still outnumbered Sara's, even excluding the members that don't live there or have died. Big families were great, and Samual was grateful for having a huge family, it made him know that he could lean on so many other people without having to worry about being alone. "I agree, besides, it's not fun if everyone and everything was the same." Samual had a thing about things being different, he couldn't stand a world where everything was the same, there would be no excitement or difference, everything would be so boring and regular. When Sara asked about Ancient Runes, Samual smiled. Ancient Runes was one of his favourite classes! "Well, this year we're making our own runes and had to get our own rune bags. When we decided what tree we'd use to create our runes, we went off into the forest and the Professor said that we had to talk to our tree and everything, it was really odd-but I had tons of fun. As we get older, we might be able to do readings, I can't wait!" It was easy to tell that Samual really loved Ancient Runes, so whenever he studied it, he would have a blast.

Samual laughed slightly. "When my family does do the whole Christmas thing, we cheat and use magic, well, my older siblings do." He explained. Who needed ladders when you could just use your wand to put them all up? But if they wanted to celebrate Christmas again, Sammy knew what his and Tamalia's job would be: make sure Hamish didn't see, otherwise he'd freak out again. Samual wasn't entirely sure why Hamish was so scared of magic, he didn't know of a time where it had hurt him, but he was terrified of it and would freak out if he saw something magical. He was too young to take to a doctor, and Samual wasn't sure about sending little Hamish to a doctor to be check out, if he was scared of magic, he was scared of magic and would probably be like Amanra and decide that he doesn't want anything to do with magic, instead of going to a magical school. Samual laughed, it appeared that Sara really did like lions, but he doubted that everyone was over-exaggerating when they spoke about lions being dangerous. "I don't know, they seem pretty dangerous to me, but I must admit, I'd love to hug one, they look so warm and fluffy." He admitted. Who wouldn't want to hug a lion? It was like patting a hippogriff, totally tempting, but once in the situation you couldn't help but think that you could die. When she mentioned Gryffindor having the only house animal that was dangerous, Samual rolled his eyes. "Obviously you've never been near an angry bird, they can get very vicious when cranky." He warned. Samual had the feeling that Sara was just being silly, but he was slightly gullible himself and never took anything too seriously anyway, so he replied to everything as if it was serious, but with a playful twist. Talking about graduation made Samual feel a little sad. He was only in Fourth year, but if was quickly turning into Fifth and then it'll be Sixth year and then it'll be his final year! Hogwarts had become a part of him the first day he came and soon he was going to lose it all, sure, some people would say that he was overreacting and was too young to think about graduation, but since Nadia and Tamalia were both sixth years and were thinking about it, he couldn't help but think about it himself, and he knew he would miss the large school he could now fondly call home. "I think I might cry at my graduation." He admitted. When Sara spoke about hanging out in someones trunk, Samual couldn't help but laugh at the thought. "Maybe you could meet a nice Ravenclaw and convince them to bring two large trunks. It might work." He wasn't serious of course, but if it was possible, he'd happily do it too when it came to his graduation. "Or maybe you could become a Professor and come back and teach, then you could be here forever!" That was Samual's backup plan. ecome a Professor and have a blast with the new kids that would be coming to Hogwarts in future years. He was sure even if he had the worst class the universe could create that he'd have tons of fun, and if he actually became a Professor, he would have the possibility of teaching his younger relatives! Now that was a fun thought. "My little sister had bright blonde hair, but now it's brown like mine. Which is funny because all of my older siblings have blonde hair, it's only the three of us that have brown hair." When Samual said three, he obviously meant himself and his younger siblings. The only brunettes, other than their father, but as of yet no-one had curls like Samual did. "I really like them. I think I'll have to make them for Bethany and Hamish now." He said, speaking his thoughts rather than actually talking to Sara and continuing with making the daisy train.
