Apparition,6,2Irene stood in her Ministry robes waiting for the sixth years to arrive. Today, they'd finally get some practice in. She knew that some students had experience with side-along apparition, but doing it alone was a very different experience. They'd soon find that out for themselves. It was one thing to go along for the ride, and quite another thing to be the person who had to remember the 3 Ds and execute them perfectly.

"Let's go. Come in, come in" Irene Finch urged the students forward impatiently as the first student walked tentatively through the open Great Hall doors. She took roll as they entered, shutting the doors from the distraction of younger students who wanted to see what was happening. "Space yourselves out...there's plenty of room" she stated. Irene gave her wand a small flourish and a large wooden hoop appeared in front of each student, falling into place before them.

Looking around at their faces, Irene stared at each student for the briefest of moments, making judgments about their ability to succeed at the task before them. She had been doing this long enough that she was rarely wrong. "Alright. Today, you will make your first attempts at apparating" she declared, her hands on her hips as she walked around. "Before we begin, can someone remind us of the three Ds?" she pointed to a student and nodded her head as they responded.

"Excellent" she stated. "Now that you've all been reminded of the three Ds, it is time to put them into practice. For your safety, one of your school nurses is here" she nodded towards the corner where the nurse was stationed. "If you splinch yourself, please remain in your spot and the nurse or I will come to you. No sense bleeding all over the place" she stated with a small shake of her head, not even thinking about how startling that sentence might seem to a muggleborn. She didn't explain splinching either. Sooner rather than later, she was sure they'd learn if they didn't already know. "Begin. I will be walking around."

Points will be given to the student who answers the question. RP the lesson.

Matthew really wasn't sure what to expect from this apparition lesson, he half hope they would start actually apparating, but it was also a bit intimidating. He wanted nothing more than to know how to do it, but it was still a little bit scary to the boy.
He headed into the great hall, waiting for roll call to finish. He made sure to stand with some space around him, as the professor told them to. He wasn't surprised to hear they really were going to try it for real today, but he still felt nervous. When she asked about the three Ds, she pointed at him and he quickly answered. "Destination, determination, and uh... deliberation." He said quickly. He was glad he had remembered them.
The warning about splinching made him shudder, and he really hoped it wouldn't happen to him. Focusing intensely on the place in front of him, he chanted the three D's in his head. He tried to imagine himself standing in that spot instead, but nothing was happening. He spent the rest of the lesson that way, but didn't actually manage to apparate yet. He left feeling a little disheartened, hoping to do better in the next and final lesson.

Charlotte made her way to the Great Hall for her second apparition lesson with the three D's stuck in her head. She hoped that this lesson they would finally be able to learn how to apparate and listened as the lady spoke. Unfortunately, she was not picked on to answer the question but this did not bother her. What did bother her though was the whole idea of splinching. She knew that it was possible but was unaware of how bad it could get and didn't particularly want to see it during any of the lessons. When they were finally allowed to start trying to apparate, Charlotte closed her eyes and tried to imagine herself doing so, remembering the three D's in her head. It took quite a lot of brainpower and by the end of the lesson Charlotte had only left with a headache, having not managed to move at all. It made her feel silly, but she shrugged it off as she left the Great Hall, hoping that she would finally be able to do it during their last lesson.

The valentines day dance had gone as well as could’ve been expected, he’d gone with Emma of course and it was making up for lost time, her beautiful rose and note to him had been amazing, and added to this was the victory they had gotten at quidditch. It had just been amazing, every part of it had been amazing. Theo had been so enthralled by how well all of it had gone that he was painting freely again, finding spare moments in between everything else to focus on his art, to focus on his work and give it his best effort. The teen was just so happy with everything at the moment, and despite his fears that it would all eventually crumble it hadn’t yet and he was feeling better than ever. The ravenclaw captain smiled to himself as he got himself ready for the day, making a weak attempt at washing out all the paint on his fingers before he got himself ready for classes. Putting his books into his bag, taking his wand and then leaving the dorm room. No year at school, had ever gone so well as this one, with all elements of his life falling into place perfectly.

After the first apparition class, Theo was feeling more confident about how this one would go. He'd done a lot of reading about it and was rather curious about how it would feel. So he left his affairs in the corner of the great hall and found himself a spot to stand in. He looked up at the professor as she began speaking. Going briefly over what they had learned a few weeks before, before showing them how to do it. Well, a brief run through of the three D's. Theo was a little alarmed at the presence of the nurse but he pushed that to the back of his mind as he focused on what he needed to do. He was stood in front of his hoop and was thinking hard about getting to it. He was determined, he knew his destination and he knew how to do it. He wasn't sure what he should be feeling, and as others around him began to manage it, he wondered what he could be doing wrong. He kept having this odd feeling and then pushing it away. But as the time dwindled down, he just tried leaning into it, allowing it to take over and this quickly became stronger and he suddenly felt a tug like a straw and then it all stopped. He realised with a small start that he was now within the circle. he'd managed to do it, and just in the nick of time as the class was being dismissed. he knew he needed more practice if he wanted to pass but he was glad he had at least managed it.

Alessio arrived to the great hall for the second and second last apparition lesson, last week had been full of things that Alessio had to catch up in, especially his other classes but he really wanted to feel more like a wizard and less like a muggle so he wanted to do quite well in this class. And it was only available for sixth years, if he wasn't mistaken, so he was taking his opportunity. Apparating was useful. He thankfully had a good memory and when they began, he listened intently. It was kind of weird that the woman in front of them seemed to stare at each student for a few minutes, was she like observing them or something? It made the puff slightly uncomfortable. He glanced at Matthew who'd answered it correctly. The three Ds weren't hard to memorise and remember at all. Alessio smiled as the woman told them they'd be trying it out today. It made him a little nervous, however he was also excited. He was a little confused as to what splinching was, by the sounds of it Alessio didn't even want to think about it for too long - it was gruesome.

Alessio hesitated, observing one or two students who got it right, before he decided to do it himself. He closed his eyes and thought of the three Ds, putting all his strength and concentration into it. So far, nothing was happening, which made him feel a little ridiculous and he stopped for a moment to regain his strength. He had a few minutes left so he decided to try again. Alessio once more closed his eyes and felt a strong pull, he'd done a lot of reading the past week to prepare for this lesson and he wasn't about to fail, even thought it was the first time. Al felt the world spin and then it all stopped. Maybe he was getting dizzy. He opened his eyes slowly, one at a time and avoided gaping at where he was. He looked around him and sent a small smile and a nod in Tholomyes' direction, who was also in the circle. Alessio smiled a sincere smile for the first time in a while as they were dismissed. It wasn't often Al felt accomplished when it came to magic.

The weeks were going by faster than Dan could comprehend, like any other semester and it was time for another Apparition session. He entered the Great Hall, nodding to the woman in greeting before taking up a spot and they got started. Dan wasn't favourable to splinching as they were told about it, and hoped he would not have to see much if any splinching. More so he hoped he wouldn't have to experience it. He closed his eyes when they were instructed to try apparating themselves and thought of the destination, determination and deliberation. So far he felt nothing, Daniel wondered just how much more will he had to endure. He wanted to be able to apparate by the time he had to complete the exam. Dan sighed, as by the end of the lesson he hadn't been able to move much, at least he hadn't splinched himself. When they were dismissed the sixth year prefect left the room with the others, not talking to anyone and thinking about what he had possibly done wrong today.

Amy wondered if they were to learn how to actually apparate this lesson, and she hoped so because wanted to try it out, she was eager to learn but not so much do the job half done. She had remembered what the three Ds stood for and that was important to know otherwise there would be no apparating without the knowledge of them. She grimaced as the ministry employee mentioned splinching, something she would rather not have to deal with. It was their turn now so Amy took a deep breath and focused on the Ds the entire time. Some time passed, but eventually, Amy felt a strange feeling like something was tugging at her, or a straw - she couldn't pin it down exactly. But the next thing she knew she was in the circle. Amy grinned but her smile soon faded as she realised Dan hadn't managed it yet. He will, soon! The sixth years were dismissed before she knew it. As she left the great hall, Amy had to try hard not to talk about her success while her brother had failed to do so the past hour.

Apparition was something Isabelle was the most keen on doing, everything else was beginning to tire her out a little. Although it did require a lot of concentration and of course the three Ds, Isabelle had made sure to sleep enough before today because if they were to apparate the french brunette was not ready for anything out of place to happen. She had to purse her lips at the mention of splinching and she shuddered. That was exactly what she was going to avoid. Izzy just had to do well, with a spark of hope that she might be one of the first people to accomplish being from one place to another within moments, she forced herself to relax. Then, she used all of brainpower and strength and whatever else. She waited but - nothing. Isabelle kept trying, not wanting to lose hope for the duration of the entire lesson. She needed this. When she realised they were dismissed however she gasped at her failure. This was not okay. Isabelle didn't fail. It was not in he vocabulary. When she left the room it was with a grumpy mood and she willed herself not to punch anything - or anyone.

Rome sighed to herself as she made her way through the school. The only things she liked in this school were few and far between. The more time she considered not coming back the more sense it made, but she knew her parents would be against it, and she couldn’t really leave her twin. She knew he’d be fine, but she didn’t want to run that risk of not being there if something happened. The slytherin walked into the common room and marched up to her dorm room. Gathered up her things as she placed them on the bed to go into her bag before she left for class. There was no sense in rushing especially if it was all there for her to just stuff in before leaving. She spent time getting ready, spending a long time in front of the mirror ensuring her platinum blonde hair sat perfectly, without even the littlest fault. She had nothing else going for her in this school, this was something she could focus on. Finally the teen put her things into her bag when it was time to leave and walked out of the room.

This was the one class that Rome had actually been looking forward to. She walked into the great hall and without hesitation and then looked to the professor. She was eager to just get started, so she was surprised when other were slower to get to the great hall, but eventually they got started. The teen listened to the professor as she gave a brief introduction to the class and allowing them to try it for themselves. The girl stared at the hoop in front of her and began thinking about wanting to get to the hoop. She was determined, but the witch was having difficulties. She had imagined that she would find it easy, that she wouldn't struggle to do it, but it was clearly a little more complex than she had given it credit for. The girl focused her mind and then all of a sudden she felt something weird. Like a sucking feeling, a vague feeling that she felt she should lean into it. The girl closed her eyes and leaned into it, allowing the feeling to consume her. When she opened her eyes again, she was in hoop. The girl was very satisfied with the fact she had managed it. She knew she could do it. With that the class was ended and they were able to leave.

Cyan was mortified when she remember Alessio was in class with her for apparation lessons. She'd successfully avoided him since he kissed her. Not that she hadn't kissed back. It Cyan notes it as a lapse in judgement. The teen had been so good at not seeing him until this weeks class. There she stood, as far away as she could get, her eyes squinted at Alessio. In his stupid uniform, and dumb cute mudblood face. The girl crossed her arms over her chest, hoping he'd see her glare. She continued to do so until it was her time to apparate.

When it came her turn Cyan couldn't concentrate. She was horrible at apparating and it became clear when no matter hiw hard she tried she always managed to go no where. This I as horrible but Cyan assumes she was just didtracted. While she did not manage to apparate she was getting tired of feeling like a failure and left the great hall. She needed Aion.

Maddie was nervous for the second apparition lesson, she was sure that they would be allowed to try and apparate this lesson and she wasn't sure if she was ready for it. She walked into the Great Hall and stood next to her two best friends, Charlotte and Amy and tried to remember the three D's and what it all meant until the Ministry Official began the lesson and asked for their attention. Before Maddie knew it the class was directed to begin trying to apparate without much instruction or guidance. She shot a confused look to Amy and tried to remember the three D's while also trying to imagine entering the space in the hoop in front of her. No matter how hard she tried her body didn't seem to want to move from the spot. She huffed and stamped her foot in frustration. Once the class was over she stormed out of the Great Hall and stomped all the way back up to her dorm trying to forget about her disastrous attempt at apparating.

James had been looking forward to the second apparition because he would finally be learning to apparate. He made his way into the Great hall and found himself some space and waited for the ministry woman to start the lesson. He thought back to the three Ds and when the woman reminded them what they were he was glad to see that he had remembered correctly. Once they were left to it James began to focus on the hoop in front of him. He was determined to pull it off. If Ezra could apparate then so could he. At first, he could move, it was as if his body was fighting against him, like what he wanted to do was unnatural. Eventually, he felt something, like he was being pulled from where he stood. James opened his eyes and he had moved but not to where he had wanted. James looked over at the hoop and sighed, sure he had moved but he was in the wrong place so he was disappointed. Though he would have something to work on in the next lesson. When the lesson was over James picked his bag up from the floor and made his way out of the classroom.
