Fraser felt a little overwhelmed as he stepped into the accio room. It felt wild to him that he was now in charge of it. A hobby he had picked up to fill the time given that he hadn't been on the house team was now something he did quite a lot with. It was something he now had to lead. He was proud to, his parents were proud of him, but it was a lot. He wasn't sure how he'd end up balancing it all, balancing this, quidditch and his OWLs. The gryffindor glanced around the room, and he was a little surprised that he wasn't alone in the room. Marley, or something. He knew her from this, but he also knew she was on her house team. "Hey," he said, hoping that he wouldn't startle her. "Getting ahead?" he asked, as he walked towards her.

Marley was glad to be back at school. While she was glad to be spending time and seeing her family, she missed school and she had missed her friends. Marley had joined the accio team about a year ago, and so far she had been enjoying the experience, even though there was a lot of work to put into, she was learning to balance accio, classes and her quidditch, which she didn’t mind, she was enjoying it all. Marley knew she had to somewhat get ahead on some of the accio stuff to balance as much on her plate as she could. Marley looked up when she had heard a voice, not realising someone had come in. She smiled at Fraser. She didn’t really know him that well, but he had seemed friendly. “Hiya” Marley says happily with a smile and wave. “Trying to” Marley says with a smile and giggle. “How about you? Got the new responsibilities on your shoulders now. How does that feel?” Marley says with a small smile.

Fraser gave an easy smile to Marley, appreciating that at least didn't mind seeing him. Didn't mind him interrupting her from whatever she was trying to get on with. "Yeah, it feels...strange," he replied taking a moment to really settle on the word strange. it felt like a lot, and he didn't think he'd be capable of all of it, but he knew he would have to give it his best attempt. "There's a lot of legacy on my shoulders, and I want to do well by you and the others," he added lightly with his smile falling to be somewhat nervous. "So, I'm trying to get a little ahead," he said, indicating why he was there.

Marley nodded understandably as she listened to Fraser speak about how he was feeling about his new role. She understood that with the new role that he had taken on, there was much more responsibility for him. "That's understandable. It's a whole new territory that you're entering" Marley says with a nod and a smile. If she was in the older boy's shoes, Marley knew she'd be a bit nervous herself if she was running the accio yearbook. "But I'm sure you'll get the hang of it, and you'll do great, I'm sure," Marley says with an encouraging smile and nod.

Fraser hadn't worn the new prefect badge he now had, it was a little too much, as he was trying his best to balance everything. He was just trying to focus on one thing at a time. It was just a lot. He smiled at her encouraging words and nodded in response. "Hopefully," he said softly, joking lightly with his tone. "How've you been?" he asked. He didn't know much about Marley, but now seemed as good a time as ever to get to know her.

Marley nods at his response. "You will do fine" Marley says with a reassuring smile. She was sure that Fraser would do just fine and was sure he was would adjust to the role quite quickly. "I've been good! Ready for the school year. How about you? How have you been? How was your break?" Marley says with a small smile. Marley was always happy to make new friends and getting to know people.

Fraser gave a little smile as she was reassuring to him, though from the little he knew of her, this wasn't exactly unkeeping with her. He just gave a little smile, and let himself nod in response. "Thanks, Marley," he said. But their conversation moved to the break they'd had. "It was good, Zerrin and I went back home, our mum is pregnant with triplets, so we were helping out more," he said with a smile, looking forward to having three new siblings. "Do you have siblings?" he asked her.

Marley nodded sincerely as he thanked her. She listened carefully as he had explained how his break was. "Oh with triplets? That’s exciting!” Marley says with a smile. Marley thought that having three children at the same time seemed like a hard but exciting thing to do. “It’s nice that you’re helping out. It seems like hard work” Marley says with smile. “I’ve got three older adopted brothers, one only a few months older than me i guess. In the same year” Marley says with a smile. She liked talking about her family, she was quite close with her family. “How about you? How many siblings do you have?”

Fraser gave a little smile in agreement, he was excited for it, even if he and Zerrin wouldn't be there when they were actually born. He nodded as she talked about her siblings, "Oh really? What's his name?" he asked not sure if he had made the connection between her and whomever the sibling was. "Currently I have three, though Zerrin is my adopted brother..his mum and my dad are together now," he said, thinking that was the easiest way to explain it. "But by the end of the year, I'll have six siblings," he gave a little laugh. "Which is a lot but it's fun,"

"His name is Dominic. His adopted mum and my adopted dad got married a couple of years back. Complicated family tree I guess" Marley says with a laugh and a dismissive hand gesture. Although the family tree may have been a bit complicated, she loved her family nevertheless. Marley nodded with her head understanding. "Having a big family is a lot but it is also fun" Marley says with a smile. She understood what it was like having a big family, even though she had a big immediate family, she also knew she had a huge extended family as well. "Are your three siblings older or younger than you?"

Fraser gave a little nod of understanding, he recognised the name dominic, and was sure if he saw him, he'd know immediately who he was. The name was familiar enough and he was sure the boy was on the hufflepuff team. He gave a little smile, at complicated family trees, he could understand that entirely. Especially given that he only shared one parent with most of his siblings and none with one. "Yeah, it used to just be me and my dad, so having more is nice." he agreed. "Both, I have one older brother, Zerrin, and two younger sisters, soon to be five younger siblings. I like being a big brother,"

Marley nodded. "Yeah, it used to be my dad and me for a while, so I kinda get that," Marley says understandably with a nod and a smile. Marley loved her dad and her family, she missed them sometimes while she was at school, but she would write to them constantly when she could. "Being a big sibling sounds like fun" Marley says happily with a smile and nods. She couldn't really relate to being an older sibling as she was the youngest in her family, which she didn't mind.

Fraser smiled as she said she got it. "Having more family is nice though, it means always having someone to talk to," he said. Since that was the thing he loved most about it. He loved when it had just been him and his dad, but he did love it more when it was many of them. "Yeah, I'm gonna teach them quidditch as soon as I can," he said happily. "have mini games," he added with a little laugh.

Marley nodded happily, understanding what he meant. "Totally for sure" Marley said with a smile and nod. Sometimes there were things you wanted to tell your siblings that you didn't necessarily want to tell your parents, so it's always nice to at least have someone to talk to. "Oh yeah, definitely gotta teach them Quidditch. Teach them while they're little" Marley says jokingly. Marley enjoyed quidditch, it was one of her favourite things since starting Hogwarts. "Speaking of Quidditch, how are you feeling for this upcoming season?" Marley asked Fraser, knowing that the boy was also on the Gryffindor quidditch team.

Fraser gave a little smile, and then nodded. "Right?" he agreed. "Gotta make sure they can play," he said easily, a little laugh on his lips, thinking of how he knew Flora would probably enjoy it, but that Holly certainly wouldn't. "Yeah, feeling good. Gryffindor's chances are good this year, I think. How do you think Hufflepuff's are?" He was pretty sure she was a beater on the hufflepuff team, and therefore not a seeker, so it would come down to her but she could, as he was, speculating.

Marley nodded her head in agreement. "Absolutely!" Marley says happily with a smile and nods. If Marley had any younger siblings, she would've definitely taught them how to play Quidditch. Marley quite enjoyed playing the sport. Marley nodded along to what he had to say about how Gryffindor was doing. "That's good to hear. I feel like the Hufflepuff's are doing good too. You reckon Gryffindor will win the cup this year?" Marley says with a smile. She knew all the teams tried their best when it came to Quidditch games.

Frasre laughed lightly as she asked if he thought Gryffindor would win the cup. "Probably as much as you reckon that Hufflepuff will win the cup," he replied with a joking and light tone. He had been pretty concerned when he'd first walked into the accio room, but chatting with Marley was helping put his mind at ease, at least a little. "So other than quidditch and accio, what else do you like to do?" he asked. Given that he knew those two things but not much else.

Marley chuckled and nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah, I reckon so," Marley says with a laugh. Of course, everyone wanted their own team to win. Marley felt like it was nice getting to know people in the clubs she was in a little more. Fraser seemed friendly too. The topic had been changed, which Marley didn't mind. She shrugged her shoulders a little at his question. "I really like anything to do with arts and crafts. Painting and making jewellery I guess is something I like to do" Marley says with a small smile and shrugs. "How about you? What else do you like to do?" Marley says curiously, wanting to get to know the guy a little better.

Fraser gave a little smile and laughed along with her. He hadn't really thought ahead in asking her about what she did outside of the two clubs he wknew her from that obviously she would turn the question back to him, he sat back for a moment and then gave a little laugh. "That's honestly, about it...," Fraser said. He didn't have much beyond quidditch and Accio and really Accio had only come because quidditch hadn't worked out quite as early as he'd been hoping for. "I should get another hobby," he conceded with a little smile, though he wasn't sure he had time to take anything else on. "Maybe after my OWLs I can think about it,"

Marley nodded when Fraser had concluded that he didn't really have any other hobbies. Marley understood that maybe he was a busy guy and that maybe he didn't really have time to do other hobbies. She laughed a little at his statement. "Well, I'm sure you'll find something. There are plenty of hobbies out there for you. Is there anything of the sort you're interested in trying?" Marley asked, figuring out what else he might like, happy to give a few hobby suggestions if he needed. Marley's face scrunched up at the mention of OWLs. She was glad that she didn't have to do them right now, but she wasn't looking forward to it. "Are OWL classes harder?"

apologies for this being super duper late!!! Lack of muse is very fun!

Fraser gave a little laugh and then shook his head. "I picked up photography, because I wasn't managing to make the team, and now, I'm here," he said, "I'm a bit worried if I pick something else up, I'll land myself in another job," he joked though it was mostly, he didn't know what else he wanted to do. "I guess, I'm not the right person to ask, I found first year classes hard," he said. He had never really managed to get his grades up in the way he wanted to. he got by, but he didn't do amazingly, and he didn't do terribly. "Are you studious?"

Marley laughed a little at his joke. "That makes sense. Now you're busy with two things. Was Quidditch something you always wanted to do?" Marley asked Fraser. Marley enjoyed Quidditch a lot, even more now she had been on the house team for a bit. Marley nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah, some of the classes are hard" Marley said with agreement. The first couple of years of classes in Hogwarts had been a bit hard, and even now they continue to be hard. She wasn't really prepared or looking forward to her OWLs. "I guess so. When other than spending my spare time with my friends or doing hobbies, I'll study. I wanna try and do well" Marley says with a small shrug and smile.

Fraser laughed lightly and nodded. "it was the thing I wanted to do, and when it took a bit of time, I picked up photography," he explained, which he thought would help make all of it make sense. Or why he had so much and why he was unwilling to pick another thing for him to be doing. "I'm sure you'll do well when it comes to your OWLs," he was sure she was smart and wouldn't struggle with the classes. "Do you know what you want to do when you leave school?"

Marley nodded her head understanding. "I get that. Honestly, I didn't really think Quidditch was something I enjoyed until I spontaneously decided to try-out in my second year" Marley says and laughs. Even though at first Marley thought she wasn't the greatest at the sport (still thought she could do better) with all the practices and games, she had enjoyed it more and more. "But you also have a lot on your plate, so it's understandable if you just want to keep those two hobbies," Marley says with a smile and nod. Marley smiled, a tint of red appearing from her cheeks as the boy reassured her about her doing well with her OWLs.

Marley smiled and shrugged a little. "Honestly, I haven't really thought about that. I feel like there are a lot of options out there." Marley says with a small smile. The Hufflepuff had maybe thought about it once oe twice, but maybe she should think more about it now that she was starting OWLs soon. "How about you? Is there anything you wanna do once you graduate?"

Fraser was surprised that someone would spontaneously try quidditch, from what he knew, Marley was good at it too, so it was perhaps just a bit of luck that that had happened. That she had tried it and been good at it. "Maybe when I graduate, I can pick up, like bird-watching," he said, he definitely didn't have the time now for such a hobby, but he could in the future. "There are," he agreed, knowing that it had to be overwhelming. "Quidditch hopefully, pride of portree, just like my dad," he said, wanting nothing more than to follow in his dad's footsteps.
