Yellow rose for @Elliot Briar

Maddy’s next Rose was for a friend, and while she knew the obvious places to find him, where would be the fun in that? She could have found him at breakfast, at the Hufflepuff table or over at the Ravenclaw one with Lars, but instead she wanted a proper test of Totara’s training. So she sent the little dragon looking for Elliot. At first he flew around aimlessly while she followed, but when they reached the courtyard he veered abruptly downwards. Maddy strode after him, and found him perching on Elliot’s shoulder, licking his cheek. “Yes, it worked! Hi Elliot! I’ve got a rose for you!”

Elliot had been crossing the courtyard when he abruptly felt something land on his shoulder. Flailing, but trying not to drop his roses, Elliot tried to regain his composure as he took stock of what exactly hand landed on him. It felt a bit too light to be an owl, and Elliot tried not to squawk when he felt a small tongue on his cheek as he turned his head. It was a relief when Maddy appeared then and Elliot was able to piece some things together, recognizing the little dragon thing as hers. "Maddy, hey," He breathed, awkwardly petting the miniature dragon in hopes it might give his face a little breathing room. "Your um- Totoro.. Totara, he found me." He said, fluttering a hand at the dragon on his shoulder with a sheepish smile.

Maddy grinned excitedly as she made her way over to Elliot. "Yes! Didn't he do well!" Elliot did look a little uncomfortable with him being there though, so Maddy called the little dragon back over. He perched on the edge of her rose basket, and she gently held him back from climbing inside while she found Elliot's note. "Here you go!"

Elliot felt his shoulders drop with relief when Totara flew back over to Maddy, quietly envious at how well trained the miniature dragon was. He could barely get Penne to pay attention to him half the time, but he liked to think it was part of the rat's charm. "Is he helping you with your deliveries? That's impressive," Elliot said, nodding at Totara and taking the note from Maddy. He didn't know a lot of people with names beginning with 'K' so it'd have to be Kace. Elliot had been trying to give Kace some more space since the holiday break, but seeing a rose from his was a relief that they were probably back on better terms again. He'd have to make sure they could catch up again later. "Thanks, Maddy. And you too, Totara, I suppose."
