It was no surprise to anyone that Morrie frowned even in her sleep, unmoving until out of nowhere her features twitched as if she was dreaming of an argument ramping up a gear in her mind. And then back in the room, her body let out an unexpected noise like a balloon loudly deflating beneath her blankets. Feeling suddenly more comfortable, her green eyes slowly blinked open. She was immediately annoyed by the amount of light in the room and tried to lift an arm to shield her face, but her arm was sore and her body ached. Her brain took a moment to catch up, puling up the memory of a massive snake attack that made her quickly regain full consciousness in a panic.

She twisted to look for the terrifying snake, but her gaze instead found a much more familiar and welcome snake beside her bed that helped her feel safe. "Van?" she asked, her mind feeling fuzzy wondering why Vanity was here at all.

@Vanity Mettlestone

Vanity hated the hospital wing, and she hated the helpless feeling she had as she looked at Morrie's still face in the bed. It wasn't right. Her friend was never this quiet, she should be causing chaos and driving the nurses crazy.

Just as Vanity started to wonder if she should go for a bit, get something to eat and grab her homework to do here later, she heard a loud noise that could only be one thing. She pulled a face and pinched her nose. "Really, Morrie?" She hissed. Bad enough that she was unconscious, but now she was farting too? The thought was so absurd that she burst into a fit of laughter. She covered her mouth before one of the nurses could scold her. It took her a moment to realize Morrie was awake, and she dropped her hand with a gasp. "You're awake!" She said, then let out a giggle again. "And you farted."

Morrie blinked blearily at Vanity as her brain slowly pieced together where she was and how she’d ended up here. Vanity looked like she was laughing, which was low even for her bestie. Morrie frowned. She didn’t remember anything after the bite and could have been the snakes lunch for all she knew. It was a relief that she clearly hadn't been but still. Laughing? Really Vanity?

She had to admit it did sound funny that she’d farted. “Are you sure it wasn’t the snake?” she mumbled, the word snake making her shiver without meaning to. Saying the word snake had never made her shiver before but this one had been huge and summoned by Mikael to attack her, and she’d never felt pain like when its fangs punchuered her skin. She frowned again from the memory and all the gaps she had in it. "Wh-what happened?" She wasn't asking about the fart.

Vanity's laughter had been a mixture of humor and pure relief, as it was such a relief to see Morrie open her eyes. She decided to let go of any jokes she might make about it, and instead, she took Morrie's hand and squeezed it. "Okay, nevermind that." She said, waving it off. "Are you okay?" She looked her over cautiously. "I should be asking you what happened, don't you remember? They all want to know. You got bitten by a snake. Everyone's talking about it, there's all kinds of stories flying around." She told her, biting back the urge to say any of them as of yet, maybe she would influence Morrie's memories. "Do you remember anything?"

Morrie scrunched her nose then tried to sit up a little straighter, "Yeah, I remember Mikael's snake biting me.” She shivered again after mentioning the snake for a second time. She couldn't very well forget that detail with her arm throbbing so much. “After that? Nope." She eyed Vanity when she said all sorts of stories were flying around, “I bet all the stories going around are wrong anyways!"

Vanity frowned and leaned forward urgently. "Okay, what about before that? How the f*ck did he even have a snake?" She asked him. "I heard he's saying it was an accident of some sort, but people are making up all sorts of things. He's a d*ck. Did he do it on purpose?" She asked, meeting her friend's eyes urgently. "You have to tell if he did."
