Lucy was in a phenonmenally good mood. She'd been invited to a picnic on the great lawn from her girlfriend. She still flushed lightly at the thought of that - her actual girlfriend, someone she actually was together with. She still hadn't told her parents but that wasn't important - parents could wait. They didn't deserve to know anyway, and Lucy didn't need to come out to them if she didn't want to yet. It was also still early in the semester, so Lucy wasn't too worried about exams or conglomerated arts club things (although she still had quidditch practice). She had space to just relax and ease into the routine.

Lucy came to the great lawn, looking for the oak tree Tempest had told her the picnic would be under. She found it eventually, smiling as she approached. "Hi," Lucy said with a smile, settling down on the picnic mat spread out. "This is amazing by the way. Thank you so much for organising this." Lucy still felt those nervous butterflies in her stomach when she was near Tempest but they were easing into something more gentle. She was just happy to be around her.

Tempest had decided to set up a picnic for she and Lucy now that school had started. It was hard with both of them in the upper years, Tempest focusing on her NEWTs, and now their prefect status... it made it difficult to spend time together just as girlfriends. Plus, Lucy was much more involved in clubs than Tempest ever was, which added another layer. However, today, they were ignoring all of that and focusing on a date - a real one - where they could just chat and snack and have a good time.

Tempest had laid out some sweet treats as well as made a charcuterie board with fruits, veggies, meats, and cheeses. It was a pretty nice spread, and she'd snagged some sparkling juice from the kitchen when the house elves were preoccupied one night. Tempest smiled at Lucy and tentatively kissed her on the cheek after a moment. "You're welcome. I just thought it would be nice to have some time, just us. No classes or quidditch or prefect stuff. Just a nice day to ourselves. Drink?" she asked, levitating the bottle so it poured some of the sparkling juice into a glass.
