Ava found herself walking around her room for at least ten minutes. She had no classes today and no plans. She couldn't seem to find anyone she knew, which really were only her dorm mates. She didn't even know them all that well. But they were the closest things to friends that she had - except for Sterling though she didn't really know what category he fitted into. After those minutes of boredom she decided to change from her pyjamas and wander the castle in hope of finding someone she knew even if it was Lisa...well, maybe not. She wasn't at such a low point yet.
Ava fixed her stylish outfit in the mirror before leaving her dorm. Once Ava left the common room she found herself in the cold dungeons which she hated. She guessed she was the only Slytherin who didn't like the dungeons, it was their territory afterall. But she just hated the darkness of them, the dampness of them and she had to admit she was a little creeped out by them. She quickly ran out of them as she did everyday. Thankfully today she didn't meet anyone, on the days that people were in the dungeons they would usually shoot glares and confused faces at her as she rushed by them. What was worse they usually were all Slytherin.
Ava pushed open the door which let her out of the darkness of the dungeons and into the brightly lit Entrance Hall where a few people gathered in small groups talking and laughing. Ava rolled her eyes at them bitterly though it was mainly out of jealously, she hadn't found herself a group of friends. She hadn't even found herself a friend. Not really. What bugged her most was that when she was about to start Hogwarts she had visions of herself being 'Ms.Popular' and that everyone wanted to hang out with Ava Prince. It seemed to be the complete opposite. She shook her head almost wishing that these thoughts would vanish from her head. She had to find something to do and fast.
She looked over at the four large hourglasses in the centre of the hall. She hadn't really paid much attention to them all year and since there was nothing better to do she walked over to them. A small smile spread across her face as she saw that Slytherin were coming in second place. Hopefully they would win it this year. They would be in the lead if it wasn't for that Lexi girl who seemed to sabotage Slytherin's chance of winning. Would she ever learn? Ava looked at the other hourglasses and was surprised to see Ravenclaw coming last. "Weren't they supposed to be smart?" She said quietly to herself. Her eyes flickered to Slytherin's hourglass as she saw movement. Points were just added and it now came to a total of '1377'. She looked at the hourglass filled with brick red grains, soon Slytherin would top them Ava thought hopefully.
