Leonardo liked the valentines day dance, though it was more like the yuleball than the halloween feast, he felt way less pressure on it. He didn't need to get a date and it was just slightly less formal which meant he could feel a little more at ease. He still liked halloween better as it had no pressure and he could just eat the fun snacks, but there was less here. He was always reminded as he came into the hall how heavy it was on the couples and the theme of love which was not something Leo was particularly keen on. He glanced about the room, and then just went for some snacks. He knew he could hold off, try and spend the time with Harmony or Felix, but instead he just got a plate of snacks and sat down at one of the tables, he would take this ball easily.

Felix was always excited when it came to school dances. It was an excuse to do something fun and it helped that chocolate was such a big component of all the snacks laid out for the night. He had been bouncing back and forth between different groups all night and had even done some dancing. He could use a break though and he tried to keep an eye out for Molly. He had been too chicken to ask her to the dance after going to the ball together. They had gone as friends nothing more but he couldn't help but wonder if she had a date for tonight she hadn't mentioned. With a plate of cakes and chocolate fondue Felix spotted Leo and joined him at one of the tables. "Hey man!" he greeted. "Fun dance right?." he said with a grin and took a bite of his snacks.

Leonardo had been enjoying the selection of snacks that he'd gotten. It was nice, he felt more comfortable and at ease when he wasn't so concerned with being a good date, though being a good date for Harmony had been easy. She was so kind to him, and more than he believed she should be towards him. He didn't let his mind linger on those thoughts and it was helped when Felix greeted him. He gave a short lived and tight smile and nodded. "Yeah, good snacks," he hadn't really danced and he didn't mind what the decorations were, he was just happy to be sitting and enjoying the spread. "How are you finding it?"

Felix took another bite and nodded in agreement with Leo about the food. It was pretty good this year and the chocolate fountain was always a great touch in his opinion. "It's been really fun." he said and turned to his friend. "The music has been good too. Have you danced at all?" Felix asked even thought he was pretty sure he knew the answer. There was a lot he didn't understand about Leo but he was glad to have him around all the same.

Leonardo gave a little nod, as he took another bite of his good. He wasn't sure what Felix did during dances like this, if he danced or just did like he did which wasn't to dance and just enjoy the food. He nodded in agreement though he didn't really have that firm an opinion on the music, it was good, and that was all he thought about that. "No, I don't have a partner," he replied with a little shrug. "have you?" Leonardo then took one of the cookies he'd taken from the food table and took a small bite.

Felix shook his head but could understand Leo's confusion. "You don't need a partner." he insisted. "Well at least for the fast songs. Or even the slow ones if you really commit to it." he added. He usually just picked a spot on the dance floor and went for it and that was it. "Yeah!" he said like it was obvious and took a large bite out of a cupcake. It didn't feel like the cleanest bite in the world so he turned to Leo. "Do I have anything on my face?" he asked and grabbed a napkin just in case.

Leonardo frowned a little but glanced towards the dancefloor spotting a few people without dates dancing on the dancefloor. "Doesn't it feel weird...," Leonardo asked, he knew that it was simple to dance with someone or with some friends but to dance alone had to be...odd. Leonardo gave a little glance at him and shook his face likely. "You're all good," he assured him. "Cupcakes are messy, it's why I always go with cookies or muffins,"

Felix shook his head. "Nah, it's not a big deal." he insisted. He turned his face side to side so Leo could get a good look and let out a breath when the other boy confirmed that he hadn't in fact made a big mess all over his face. Felix wanted to laugh. Of course Leo liked muffins. One of the most boring snacks of all time. "Muffins are just boring cupcakes." he said with a playful roll of his eyes. "But I think you're on to something with cookies though. Crumbs are at least easy to brush off." he said thoughtfully, before continuing to eat the cupcake.
