The evening air was very close, the sky was clear and darkness seemed a long time off as the long stretch in the evenings continued. Summer was indeed a glorious time but in the Southern hemisphere it had a penchant for being claustrophobic even out doors. Today was no different, the streets themselves seemed heated. Not a single person wore a cloak or robe as they walked about fanning themselves, beads of perspiration glistening off exposed skin.

Venus walked through the main street of Wellington clad in her usual black leather pants and fitted jacket, charmed to keep the heat out on days like this. Her long black hair flowed down her back as she bobbed and weaved through the heated tourists and natives of the popular town. Not sure where she was going but feeling instinctively that she would know when she got there. Curious looks were common and she let them gawp at her today with little more than a smile playing on her perfectly painted pink lips.

Stopping directly in front of the store she frowned slightly as she looked in the window. The owls here looked pathetic, as if they could barely fly an inch not to mind the distances she was hoping for. Her hand tapped her side, her long fingers drumming out of annoyance. This was so not want she had expected, if there were better shops that specialized in hiring out owls then she certainly didn't know of one. Twirling about on the edge of her heel she scanned the passers-by for someone who looked as if they might know.

"Excuse me, you... do you happen to know if there's another.. post office of sorts around here?" it wasn't the most polite she had ever been but it would have to do, her broken English was still easy to understand even though every syllable had been punctuated with her Italian accent.

Only a little more than a month to go. Estrella was absolutely exhausted after meeting up with a friend in Obsidian Harbor. As she was seriously considering taking a nap in some out of the way pub, she wasn't looking forward to waiting around for Jaken to finish up at work. Normally, he got out at a decent time, but now that he was an Auror she wasn't ever sure what to expect.

The kid inside of her decided that it would be a good idea to make her abdomen a sports arena, practicing soccer kicks with her ribs. She rubbed at her melon of a belly. Wiping a sheet of sweat from her forehead, she turned to the woman who had spoken to her.

Estrella couldn't shake the feeling that this woman looked vaguely familiar. Somehow. She couldn't place it, but she smiled at her anyway. "No, I'm sorry. Brightstone Village used to have a Post Office, but I think it was closed a long time ago." She grimaced as a contraction seized her for just a moment. It was nothing to worry about, she knew, though it still managed to take her by surprise.

Venus very rarely if ever did anything to please others in any way shape or form. Looking through shrewd almost black eyes at the young woman she instinctively knew she was in pain. Her gaze went to the swollen stomach and she inwardly groaned. 'Great, she's going to go into labour and I'm going to get stuck with seeing the brat emerge or something' Venus smiled politely and thanked her for her co.operation. It was damn typical that there was no postal service near by she'd simply have to apparate to this other place then.

Looking once more at the woman she inwardly sighed, so she'd do a good deed. It wouldn't be the end of the world but it was more so she could get on with her day faster.

"Do you need to go somewhere? The hospital perhaps, you don't look so hot" it wasn't a blatant insult, the other woman was looking very peeky. Venus knew she most certainly wouldn't leave to face the public looking nothing but her best and anything less was just unthinkable. Her only thought at that point was wondering if every pregnant woman left themselves go. A slight shudder shook her, there was certainly no way she would ever find herself in that condition.

"Oh, no." Estrella shook her head, smiling gratefully. "It's nothing major. Just normal last month stuff." She moved to pull her hair back, grimacing at the moisture that clung to it. The nineteen year old sifted through her seven years of study, trying to remember if there was a cooling charm in her arsenal. It was something she needed to learn either way. "Thanks for asking, though."

She peered at the woman, wondering at the similarities she recognized. "Do you know someone named Andromeda?" she asked nonchalantly. Estrella later concluded that the heat had gotten to her head, twisting her tongue with the first name she could think of. This woman was a complete stranger. She probably wasn't related to Estrella's Gryffindor friend at all.

Venus's eyes could not contain the disgust at being this close to any one who could at any minute go into labour. If she could use a tong or tweezers to handle her instead she would have. Human contact, physical human touch was always in her mind for wimps. Something that should only be done if absolutely essential. She was glad then that the woman said she was fine. The relief she felt was palatable, Venus knew for certain she would have called on some other passer by to help and simply walked away.

The young woman seemed to be looking at her with something akin to recognition which seriously infuriated her until a name was mentioned. Once again Venus glanced at the young woman shrewdly. The name was not common, not many people if any other than her deceased delusional brother would dare dream of calling their child after a galaxy. Of course being named after a goddess was a different matter entirely even it was also a planet.

"My niece is of that name" she replied never once taking her gaze from her, "It is actually a letter to her that I had wanted to send. You know her?"
She had heard often enough how her niece resembled her more and more other than a few grave differences, Venus was decidedly smaller in stature, not a werewolf, not a child and not some goody two shoes Gryffindor.

"She's a friend from school," Estrella responded pointedly. Granted, she was a few years older than Andromeda, but whoever said age determined who your friends? She wasn't sure what to make of Andromeda's aunt. The woman obviously had grown up somewhere else, so the Ravenclaw had to catch her judgments before they struck her blind.

Another strong kick, though this time it was thankfully painless. While Estrella liked being pregnant some days, she was impatient to just be done and over with everything. She couldn't wait for the day when she would be able to fly on a broomstick again. Even when her baby was born, she probably wouldn't be able to lift her fat ass into the air for a long time.

"The school allows students to go to Brightstone Village every so often if you're looking to meet up with her," the brunette commented after a significant amount of silence.

Venus considered the girls words carefully, so they got a break from the school. She couldn't simply hope that both girls would just come to her willingly. If she knew Merlina then the girl would first write to her parents before doing anything but maybe Andromeda would.
"You go to school?" she glared incredulously at the heavily pregnant girl, "are there not rules for .. that sort of thing?"
she wasn't even trying to hide her disgust now as she waved her hand at the girls pregnant belly.

sorry for lateness
