A Beau day...

Toni should have guessed that it was a girl bat. "of coarse it is a girl bat" Toni said rolling her eyes playfully as she racked her brains for a name. "Well you could go with the name Stella, Luna, Gwen, Liz" Toni rattled off not even knowing where the names were coming front. "That's all I've got right now" Toni said speaking about running out of names at the moment.

Toni did wonder how well Beau was at flying now. Hopefully not an expert. Toni wasn't even that good. Smiling slightly as he nudged her playfully. "Oh I bet you did" Toni said realizing that it was now a girl prefect. Of coarse it was a girl. Toni and Beau were so similiar sometimes it was nice yet odd. Toni basically only got along with guys why Beau only got along with girls. Though really Toni wondered if either one was a good thing.

Glad that they were still having their flying session, she smiled brightly. It was nice how she could have such a nice casual conversation with Beau even about topics like before that weren't the happiest. "So" Toni said facing Beau "What do you think about my hair up?" Toni asked wondering if it was a good thing that she kept it up in the messy bun or if Beau thought it looked better down. "Be honest" She said.

Beau pondered the names she came up with, "Hmm I like Stella," he said with a nodd. "Stella the bat," he said laughing, it probably wasn't funny but to him naming animals was a strange thing to do.
He laughed when she said she bet he did, the memory of Brandon clearly trying to impress Andy was quite humourous, and the fact that she hadn't given him the time of day was evn better.
He laughed, "I'm probably not the best person to ask, don't you usually ask other girls about that kind of stuff," he said laughing and scratching the back of his head. His eyes swept over her face continuously, before flicking to her hair then back to her eyes, "Personally I prefer it down," he said, "But it looks good up too," he said honestly.

Toni was glad that Beau liked one of the names that Toni had given. She was actually surprised at how fast she came up with a few names. Usually she was hopeless at things like naming an animal. Maybe naming a bat was easier than a cat for some reason. "You know this means you can't call the bat 'it' you have to call her Stella" Toni said smiling thinking how Beau would probably not even talk to Stella.

Wondering what Beau would think about her hair. "Well I don't really have girl friends to ask this sort of stuff so you are just going to have to do. Plus you would tell me if I was absolutely awful looking with my hair up" Toni said smiling. Though when he said he liked it better down. "Oh really" She said as she reached up and took the hair clip out of her hair. Her blonde hair feel to the normal length just as naturally wavy as it always was. Shaking her head a bit to get the hair perfect she smiled placing the hair clip on the floor next to her. "That will teach me to try new things with my hair" Toni said smiling as she leaned back slightly.

"Did you realize how many transfers we have this year?" Toni asked conversational.

"What?!" Beau joked laughing, "No she'll always be my it," he said grining, he knew most probably he would not call its name, afterall why did you need to call a bat? It came and went as it pleased.
"I said I still like it up," he said laughing, though his face split into a huge smile as she took it down the way he liked it best. He had to look away from her then as he felt an overwelming feeling he was only to familiar with.
He loved the way right now they were just talking, just general talk but it was so natural a, surely that meant they were meant to be best friends.
"I can't say I have," he said honestly, "Why is there loads?" he asked, he thought transferring was quite rare.

Toni rolled her eyes playfully "God that poor bat. I am totally going to have to take care of her and make sure she even knows she has a name" Toni said thinking that she really wasn't too fond of bats but still she would have to see Stella once and awhile.

"Yes but you said he liked it better down" Toni said running her fingers through her hair a few times hoping that it looked up to her standards. Though she liked to down as well for the simple reason that she could push a piece of hair behind her ear when she got nervous or just out of habit. "And if it looks better down I'll wear it down" Toni said.

Though when Beau looked away, Toni wondered if she had done the right thing by taking her hair down as she did. Luckily he looked back her way, so she couldn't have done something too wrong. Once they got back on the topic of transfers Toni thought about how many she had noticed. "There are lots of them mostly slytherins" Toni said "But I don't know why they are all coming. Guess to populate the school more" Toni said absentmindedly.

Beau laughed, "Its a bat I don't really think it'll notice," he said, exaggerating the word it.
Beau laughed "Always got to look your best don't you?" he said smiling softly.
He noded, "Yeah probably, I mean its not that big a school student wise," he said, thinking about this for a while. "Have you seen alot of them around then?" he asked, wondering why he hadn't.

Toni rolled her eyes at how Beau exaggerated the word it. "Stella will mind you just don't understand that" She said laughing a small bit. Running her hands down the bottom of her dressed to make sure it was nice and straight she looked up at Beau "Of coarse I always have to look my best" Toni said smiling brightly.

"You should know that about me by now" Toni said thinking about the student population. "yeah there are a decent amount though" Toni said thinking about a few things.

When Beau asked if she had seen them about the school Toni nodded. "Lots of older Slytherins" Toni said thinking about how most of them were rather good looking as well, though thinking about guys was something Toni was something that was probably not going to help Toni's case at the moment.

"oh" Toni said remembering something that Sam had told her. "Did you know that every house had a welcoming party but us" Toni said crossing her arms as if she was showing how unfair it was. "Totally not fair" Toni said knowing it was a random thing to say but with all her thoughts she was lucky if she remembered anything.

Beau shook his head, if there was one thing they would never see eye to eye on it was animals.
"Oh I do," he said laughing, she really always did look her best, even in her uniform which he guessed most girls didn't.
"Seriously?" he said shaking his head, "Ah well, are you really that bothered?" he said laughing as she seemed to think it was an injustice. "I mean we are in Slytherin after all," he said chuckling.

Toni smiled knowing that his shaking head was just a sign to drop the animal concept. Some day she would show him that animals weren't too bad and Sadie was not bad at all.

When Beau said that he knew Toni always had to look her best, she couldn't help but laugh, not knowing if he meant it in a good or bad way. "That's not a bad thing is it?" She asked curiously. She knew that his opinion meant quite a lot but she wasn't sure if he knew that.

Though Toni uncrossed her arms. "No I just want a party" Toni said smiling slightly. "I like parties" She added wondering if people through parties here or not. Toni had heard they threw dances but Toni didn't want to bring that up now.

"And slytherins can still have parties. Trust me I'm throwing you a party for your birthday this year" Toni said giving him a mysterious smile then laughing a little bit.

"Course not," Beau said laughing, "It's quite normal to be honest," he said softly.
"We all like parties," he said grinning, "But how are you going to throw me a party, if you don't know when my birthday is?" he said mysteriously, laughing a little. His birthday wasn't far off actually, October 13th and he would finally turn 12.
"But I guess I'm going to have to throw you one aren't I?" he said flashing her a smile.
He looked out across the grounds, it was still quite early and he could only see a few people here and there floating around, the usual early birds he guessed. It was strange how he always used to sleep late, but since coming here he seemed to be waking earlier and earlier, he wasn't sure if it was a good thing or not yet.

"Good" Toni said a smile on her face. This was what she really needed today, a nice talk. It just showed her how important it was to keep Beau a friend, a best friend. Though when he pointed out that she didn't know when his birthday was, Toni realized that it was true.

Smiling she said "You're right. I haven't got a clue when your birthday is" She said "When is it?" She asked. Though usually she wasn't the best at keeping birthdays straight she was more than one hundred percent positive that she would remember Beau's.

"Oh you don't have to throw me any kind of party" Toni said wondering if she would have a party this year. It wasn't like she had most of the school on her side anyway. "Plus you don't know my birthday either" She added.

Seeing Beau looked out at the grounds, her eyes followed. Only a few people were out, this actually made Toni realized how early it was. Yawning a little bit she covered her mouth.

"13th of October," Beau said grinning. "Yes I do," he said stuboornly, "Whens your birthday?" he asked, it was on of those trivial things you just knew about your best friend and he wondered why he hadn't thought to ask earlier.
"Tired?" he asked, his brow furrowing as he saw her yawning, "I'm suprised your up so early to be honset, I thought you'd be a late sleeper," he said grinning.
"Aren't you cold?" he asked, his eyes sweeping over the pretty dress she was wearing, it didn't seem very warm. He was warm, but then again he had a hoodie on, it wouldn't be normal if he was cold.

Repeating the date of Beau's birthday, Toni was determined to remember it. "October 13" She said smiling "I think I can remember that" She knew she could. If she could remember all the birthday of all her siblings and a few of her friends she could most certainly remember Beau's birthday.

Though when he asked when her's was she smiled. "Valentines Day" She said knowing that it was an odd day for a birthday, but hey it was easy for people to remember. "The 14 of February if you dont' know when Valentines Day is" Toni said wondering if boys knew days like that.

"Yeah a bit" Toni said answering whether or not she was tired. "I guess I've just been having a bit of trouble sleeping. Too many thoughts" Toni said wishing that she could sleep a bit more.

As he wondered if she was cold, Toni was surprised to say that she really wasn't. "no actually" Toni said wondering how she could not be cold. Maybe it was spending so much time in the Slytherin dorms. "Are you though? I mean we can go into the great hall or some place warmer... hang out" Toni asked thinking that it might have been something that was so stupid to say.

Beau laughed, "You'll forget it by tommorow," he said winking.
"I know when Valentines day is," he said rolling his eyes, "Thats an easy one to remember then," he said grinning, inside thinking that that birthday part might have to be the day before or after her birthday, he didn't think he would be able to cope with seeing her on Valentines day, but then again that was February things might have changed by then, but at the moment he couldn't see that happening.
"Ah thats sucks princess," he said, putting his arm around her shoulder, before remembering that probably wasn't the best thing to do and quickly pulling it back, and folding it across his chest, not before brushing past her hand though. He remembered the skating lesson, how nice her hand had felt in his, the walk back to her house. He sighed quietly, it probably wasn't a good idea to think of those times, they were gone.
"No, I'm not at all," he said, "I just thought you might be, cause you've only got a dress on," he said laughing.

Toni shook her head "I promise I won't" She added. "But you have to forget that I may throw you a party" She said with a small wink. Now Toni just had to plan a party for Beau. Though she was slightly surprised that he knew when Valentines day was. "Well of coarse you know when Valentine's day is. With all your previous girl friends you must have it memorized by heart" Toni said completely teasing.

At the momen that Beau put his arm around her shoulder she wanted to move closer but knew that she couldn't. No Toni thought moving away just the slightest bit looking down at the ground for a moment wishing that this all didn't have to be so hard. "Sorry" She muttered thinking that she shouldn't have moved away even if it had been only a few centimeters. After all Beau realized that they shouldn't get so close. Why else would he have quickly pulled his arm back.

"oh" Toni said smiling thinking at he never seemed to be cold. "No I think the slytherin dungeons are getting me used to the cold" She said wondering if that really was the reason she wasn't cold.

"Okay," Beau said laughing, "I'll forget all about it," he said winking. He shrugged, "Of course," he said seriously, trying to keep a straight face though he knew she was laughing.
"No, its fine," he said, cursing himself for even making a move, "Sorry," he murmed leaning even further away, his brows knitted together as he stared out to the grounds without actually seeing anything.
He laughed, "Really? I don't think there that cold," he said shrugging, but maybe they were cold. He was still staring out to the grounds, his eyes slightly narrowed wondering why he would have done that, but then in all fairness to him he had only done it in a friendly way nothing more.

Toni smiled brightly as he said he would forget the party. Already thoughts were buzzing around in her head and it was actually so nice to think about something like this instead of all the thoughts that she had been having, the thoughts that were taking away some needed sleep.

Though once Beau muttered he was sorry, Toni felt slightly bad. It hadn't been anything bad at all, a friendly gesture and Toni over reacted. Smiling she looked over at him. "No reason to say sorry" She said "I just over reacted" She adding. She was tempted to say that he should know what happens when they got too close but Toni couldn't. For a moment it would be an excuse that she didn't want to use, it had to remain something that just put a smile on her face.

"And the dungeons are freezing. I sleep with three heavy blankets" She said laughing a bit at how much she did bundle up in the dorms. God her room mates must think she is insane.

"I should no better, "Beau said shaking his head, and still glaring into the grounds, his hands were clenched into fists in his lap.
He turned, relived when she carried on talking about how cold the weather was, he took a few calming breaths and smiled. "Three?" he said laughing, "Thats madness," he said grinning, "Its really not that cold," he said, "Well not in the boys dorm anyway,"he said, "But then again when you eventually decide to come visit you'll find that out yourself," he said winking.

Toni shook her head her blonde hair going from side to side as well. Though she was glad that he took continued on with the conversation hoping that Beau knew that no harm was done. Smiling and saying nothing else on the topic, Toni listened as the conversation went on.

"Not madness" Toni said laughing a bit though. "It's just cold at night up there" Toni added her tone defending but her face read that she was smiling and happy. "Psh I doubt the boy's dorm is any better" Toni said "But I guess I'll have to make up my mind myself when I come and meet your lovely room mates" She added saying the word lovely in an almost sarcastic tone.

Looking out over the grounds, Toni noticed a few more people getting up. "So what do you have planned for the rest of today?" Toni asked curiously.

Beau laughed, "sure, sure," he said grinning, "Yeah you will," he said laughing again, the conversation was light and easy once more, the way he liked it. He rolled his eyes, "Angus is okay," he said laughing, "But I'll make sure Brandons not there," he said, "I doubt you'd like him," he said shaking his head.
"No, I think I'm just going to check out the school," he said shrugging, "How about you?" he asked curiously, noticing more people seemed to be swapping the grounds. The entrance hall stayed empty though, he noted this thinking it was a good place to come and think as no-one was ever here.

Glad that how the conversation could change so quickly to a light and friendly tone, Toni smiled sweetly. He spoke a bit more about his room mates that really Toni wished she could have added more about hers. She didn't know them very well other than the fact that Caina had a very cool name and was a first year, and Vanessa was well a first year. Other than that Toni knew nothing about the girls that she shared a dorm with.

"Oh and why won't I like Brandon. Because you don't?" Toni asked smiling still though she would imagine that she wouldnt' care for someone that Beau didn't like. Even if the boy was in Slytherin.

Toni listened as Beau said he was just going to be checking out the school. That seemed like the only thing to do lately. "I might actually do some school work that I've put off until the last minute" Toni said rolling her eyes at thinking about being stuck in the dorm doing her assignments. Though maybe she would head down to the lakefront and do her assignments.

"Pretty much yeah!" Beau said chuckling, "Hes a toss pot, no-one will like him," he said laughing once more, the word 'toss-pot' sounding especially good in his British accent.
"Tut tut, Miss Addison, I would have thought you would do it all as you went along," he said grinning, while thinking what part of the school he hadn't seen, the first floor corridor would probably be where he went first.

Toni smiled "Well that is a good enough reason for me" Toni said thinking about what he had called the boy. A toss pot Toni thought thinking aobut how odd that sounded to her, but still it sounded good when Beau said it.

"Oh come on like you have been doing your work" Toni said rolling her eyes. She knew she wasn't the only one that hadn't put it off to last minute or at least she hoped she hadn't been the only one.

Though she hoped the assignments didn't take too long. As she heard more people outside on the grounds, but not many people around the Entrance hall. Actually it was just here and Beau.

"I better leave you to your exploring though" Toni said hoping that maybe when she had finished all her things she could 'bump' into him about the school. Standing up and wiping off her dress. "See you around" She said though her tone had a hint of question.

Toni smiled slightly. "Well you better not put it off until the last minute either" Toni added guessing that he would anyway. Though it didn't matter anyway. It was just home thought work assignments and classes were not everything.

Toni couldn't help but wonder if she was leaving too soon. It was just something that told her it was best to go and do some work, let Beau wonder around a bit. SHe hoped that it was the right thing to do, even though she really wanted to spend the whole day with him again, hanging out and talking if nothing else.

"Not Maybe. I'll See you in the common room later" Toni said smiling "Maybe even check out your dorm" She added. "Well I'll see you later" Toni said wondering if hugging him was the smartest move. Friends hug right? Toni thought but still she questioned it a bit. Just leaning over and giving Beau a hug. Knowing that she didn't want to let go but as the minutes passed she knew she should.

Backing up she smiled once more "So yeah later" She said as she turned to walk back to the dungeons.
