Ravenclaw Quidditch Practice Y51/S1

Unsurprisingly, the snitch was still gone.
 
Lucy pulled around on a bludger, enjoying the satisfying crack of her bat hitting the ball, and watched as it sailed straight into @Lilith Ilves

Hinemoa didn't really think she could get any more depressed at this point. She had daydreamed for so long about what it would be like when she finally made it onto the quidditch team, and here she was, completely failing to even spot the snitch.
 
Julio was pretty convinced at this point that the snitch had gotten stuck somewhere. Or just grown as bored as the seekers and flown off.
 
Lilith saw a glint in the distance and as she was accelerating towards it and chasing it down she felt a collision on her thigh. Wincing she didn’t give the hit too much attention, instead she kept on going not letting the glint fade. It paid off because as she extended her arm to geasp the golden ball she felt relief at the catch and showed it off before letting it go again.
 
when it looked like no one else was going for the quaffle, theo went in and took possession of the quaffle when it was thrown back into play. doing a lap before heading back to the hoops.
 
Having had to let go of the snitch had felt cruel, considering how hard it’d been to catch it. Now that it was gone again Lili was left to get back into the search that drained her will to keep flying.
 
He lifted his head as the older seeker finally found the snitch again. Well, at least it hadn't just flown off completely.
 
Looking around her in the air Lili tried to spot a glimpse of the snitch again but failed.
 
Lilith started doing little circles to pass the time as the snitch seemed to have hidden again.
 
Maggie caught up with another bludger after a while of not really participating in practice and hit it towards one of the younger seekers, glad to have made contact. @Hinemoa Josephs

Rose hoped to find another bludger soon, but instead she was watching her friends getting hit instead.
 
Well it seemed like Lili didn't have to fly in circles for long because she soon noted a shimmer a little above in the distance. Flying upwards towards the shimmer Lilith weaved her way through a few flying bludgers and teammates until she was close enough to make out the distinctive shape of the golden ball with it fluttering wings. Reaching for it the seeker soon closed her first around the golden ball with a smile. No matter how many times she'd caught it, it always felt good. Taking a little breath in she looked at the snitch. "Be nicer to the younger ones." She whispered to the object before letting it go with an amused glint in her eyes and a small smile.
 
Rose saw a glimmer in the corner of her eye, but she wasn't convinced it was coming from the leathery skin of the ball she needed.
 
Lili stretched her neck a little before getting back into the search.
 
Lucy was pleased to see Lilith manage a couple of good catches in a row, cheering for the younger girl each time.
 
Hinemoa knew she should be happy Lilith was having so much success, but she only felt more defeated than ever as she flew on, head hung low.
 
Lilith noticed how the second year seeker had her head hanging low and flew closer to her, once she was at a talking distance she tried to cheer the girl up. “Chin up, you got this. You’ll catch it eventually don’t let it discourage you.” She spoke softly, wanting the girl to have fun and trust herself. “It’s just difficult sometimes to catch it but you did amazing in the tryouts and you deserve to be here so keep looking.” She hoped her little pep talk would at least cheer the girl up a little.
 
Whatever luck he had earlier was apparently all run dry, because no matter where he looked, he couldn't seem the spot the snitch anymore.
 
Lilith continued to look for the snitch.
 
The skies seemed clear of the snitch.
 
Lilith thought she saw something in the distance so she began flying towards that something.
