Eoghan knew that the Yule Ball hadn't gone as planned, and in fact the Christmas period in general felt as though it had had a dark cloud cast over it. The Ravenclaw didn't want to make light of the situation, but he wanted to do what he could to add a sense of normalcy to Lilith's life, to remind her that there were still things to look forward to and enjoy, even if things wouldn't be the same anymore.

He'd asked her to the dance a few days ago, and now he found himself in the Great Hall, trying his best to summon the energy to be social, for Lilith's sake instead of his own. The dances and events at school had always been something his girlfriend had enjoyed, and she deserved to have an evening where she felt as though someone was making the effort for her. "Did you know, it was around Valentines in our first year that I think I first had feelings for you," he admitted quietly.

It was true that life sort of passed you by when you are busy focusing on keeping busy. Matter of fact Lilith hadn't realized it was time for Valentine's until Eoghan had asked her to the dance a few days ago. After the Yule Ball and the entire Christmas break Lili wasn't too sure she'd wanted to attend the dance, however her boyfriend asking her had made the Ravenclaw realize maybe it could be what she needed.

Holding onto the hand of her boyfriends Lili was glad she had him in her life. That he was putting in effort for her, even when she wasn't probably the best person to be around. "Oh? What made you realize you had feelings for me?" She asked quietly, looking at him with quiet adoration and perhaps some hope. They'd talked about what they liked in each other before, but she wanted to hear what had been the turning point to realize he had feelings more than just on a friend basis.

A small smile grew on Eoghan's face at Lili's question, and he edged himself a little closer toward her. "When you kissed me," he added, remembering that day on the couch. "But it wasn't because you kissed me, but it was what came after," Eoghan explained. "I never spoke to anyone the way I spoke to you, I probably.. wouldn't even be talking to people now, be running the Hogwarts Monthly, be at events like these, if I hadn't had the talks I had with you." Eoghan wasn't the best at trying to explain himself, but he had a feeling Lilith would understand. "You listen to me even when I'm not saying anything."

"Of course, it took a while to act on it,"
That was more because of his sister than how he felt about Lilith though. "But so much of me and who I am now, is because of you." Eoghan looked away, hoping that it wouldn't make the Ravenclaw too uncomfortable for him to admit it while surrounded by the other students.

A soft smile and blush made their way to Lilith's face when Eoghan mentioned their first kiss. It'd been a mess of a kiss, awkward as any first kiss would be but it had been the moment she'd realized she liked him, too. Her smile only kept growing at the words he was saying and something warm spread across her body with each beat of her heart, it was pride and love mixed together. She was very proud of how far her boyfriend had come in the time they'd spent at the school and she was happy she got to be the one to watch him do it all from right next to him. "It's all been you, maybe I just gave you the push you needed but it comes from you. You have done it all, you have proven yourself to me, to others, and earned everything you have done." She said leaning into his side more and staring up at him as if he was in fact the night sky full of stars.

"And I wouldn't have it any other way, I am so proud of you and happy that I get to witness it all from right next to you." He'd been her rock through all these years at school and everything that came. Even these past few months he'd been a constant, something she knew she could lean on and she loved him just a bit more for it every day. "I'll always see you and I'll always keep supporting you to be the best version of yourself and to get where you want." Reaching up a little Lili pressed a kiss on Eoghan's cheek before leaning her head to his shoulder. "Thank you for supporting me through all these years, I don't know if I would have done it all if I didn't have you by my side. Thank you for being my Antares," It was in the recent few months that she'd needed him perhaps more than ever and he'd been there, every step of the way. Perhaps she could never thank him enough for it but she would do everything to try to.
