Seventh Years, Lesson Three

"Morning Seventh year, now, this lesson will not be as amazing as the last, but it is quite interesting, and you'll enjoy it." Misha placed the cup down on the table he was sat upon, before he got up and went to the board, writing in chalk what they were doing, it read, Geminio "Geminio is from the latin word, 'Geminare', which means, to double." He paused, making his way back to his desk, and picked up a small blank notebook, placing it flat in the palm of his hand. A muggle one, a christmas gift he had yet to use, he took out his wand and pointed his wand at it, "Geminio" He spoke clearly, and in the blink of an eye, an exact replica of the empty notebook sat upon the first. He put away his wand and held the two up for the class to see, "If you do it correctly, Geminio will give you an exact duplicate of the object you are casting a spell on." He held them up a moment longer, taking a few steps closer so that the students could be sure that they were in fact the mirror image of one another.

"While I made this spell look easy, it isn't. It's not a NEWT spell for nothing." He moved to his desk and picked up a box, which held an assortment of children's toys that the previous professor had left. While he wondered at times if maybe the previous professor had maybe wanted to keep them, for the time being his Seventh years could happily practice making more of them. With a flick of his wand, that he had picked back up, the toys flew out, one landing in front of each student. "Right, begin practicing, don't worry if you don't get it first time. Once you are sure that the two are a perfect match, bring them up to me. And before you hurry away to practice, or to the next class, remember to read the next chapter in your charms book, the one on the Deprimo spell." And with that he motioned the students to begin.

- RP the Lesson

Savannah walked into the charms classroom and took her usual spot in the room. She looked at the professor as the man got started. She took a few notes about what the professor was saying about the duplication spell. She wanted to make sure that she had the information down. Then the professor let them get started on the spell itself. She took her wand and then took the toy and then said. ”Geminio,” and after a couple of tries she got something and then further she then continued to practice the spell and the copies she made got better and better. The lesson was then wrapped up and she packed up her things and left the room.

Valentine’s celebrations had happened and Ruto was quite happy with herself after participating in them. She didn’t have a date or a significant other, however was beginning to appreciate the importance of love, and helping deliver the roses was actually quite fun. It gave her an excuse to be prancing about outside, and definitely gave her something to keep her mind off the fact that she didn’t have anyone to share the day with. It was time for classes now however, and so Roo packed her belongings in her backpack and headed to them.

Roo made her way to her Charms class, taking a seat near the front of the room as the professor started the lesson. He demonstrated the spell that they would be learning. It seemed easy enough, however she didn't want to stay too positive about it as it was a NEWT spell after all. She took out her wand when instructed and pointed it towards the small children's teddy bear that sat upon her desk. She imagined a duplicate of it right next to it and when she was sure she was imagining it correctly and in detail, she said the incantation. It was definitely more difficult than it seemed but eventually Roo managed to get it. She thanked the professor at the end of the lesson before heading out.

The seventh year Prefect was a little resentful since Cassius Styx promised Gregory Friend that he would stick around the school until they graduated to help him, and he had the gall to leave. He could have spent the last year of his schooling over in Beauxbatons, but it was too late now to convince his parents to do that for him. Cass was stuck here for a while longer. Cass would still write to his girlfriend. That was all he could do until he graduated. Cass gathered his things in his bag and left the Slytherin house in a bit of a hurry. He was distracted, and wanted nothing more than to just get the day over with.

Cass walked in the Charms classroom and found his seat. Professor Haden started the lesson with how they were going over the spell Geminio. It meant to duplicate, pretty much. They would have a duplicate object once it was cast. The spell looked easy, but since they were seventh years, it was likely anything but. He started to work on his toy truck, and it didn't work until the very end of class. At least he did not lose his temper and smash the damn thing, right?
