Yvonne takes after her free spirted mother and has an easy way with people. She is exceptionally charming and is very good at getting people to open up to her. While on the other hand, she tends to keep a bit of distance between herself and others. She has been known to curate a level of mystery around herself when it comes to people she doesn't know very well. Which means she's very good at making people feel like they know her but actually don't know much about her at all. Yvonne is also very passionate about everything she does, or at least tries to be, whether its professional or her personal relationships. If she deems something worth her time and energy she is all in. Yvonne has always been close with her family and living on the other side of the world from them has been difficult.

Yvonne was born and raise in New Orleans where her mother and her mother's family has lived for generations. Her father grew up in England and started playing music at a young age, which is what brought him to the US in the first place. While trying to get a music career off the ground he came to New Orleans, met Rhea, and never left. They had Yvonne quite young and got married soon after. Rhea is the owner of "The Mystifying & Strange House of Magick", a shop that has been in their family for decades, that's located in the heart of the French Quarter and caters to the curiosity of muggles and magical folk alike, as well as providing locals with all of the magical supplies they could ever need. While Spencer has made a decent living as a gig musician playing with various groups around the city.
Growing up Yvonne spent most of het time either at the shop, with her father at gigs, or with her uncle while he gave ghost tours. When it was time for her to start her education her parents debated if they should homeschool her but decided it would be best if she got a proper magical education, so she went to Ilvermorny. She was sorted in to Horned Serpent, and she enjoyed her time at school mostly for socializing but she got decent grades fairly effortlessly. While she had always been interested in the fortune telling she had seen at the shop growing up, during her time at school she developed a real passion for the subject. So it was only natural she would return to New Orleans and work with her mother once she graduated. Yvonne worked there for over 10 years, until recently. After a breaking up with her long term boyfriend she decided a career change was in order and became the upper years Divination professor at Hogwarts New Zealand.
