Set before the Punch Bowl Incident, because I wanted to get an arrival post in for Twyla before the forum closes.

After what must've been an hour of preparation and getting her makeup and dress ready, with which Twyla was still so grateful to Anabelle for helping, Twyla was finally able to burst through the doors of the Great Hall to see the Yule Ball in full swing before her. She'd arrived only a little late, but just in time to see everyone already celebrating and dancing.

Twyla's eyes went immediately to all the decorations - so much cooler and prettier than she imagined! There were all sorts of things floating through the air, glittering confetti that never stopped falling, glowing balloons...and in one part of the room, an ice rink! Wow! She couldn't help but gasp as she took it all in and felt the excited happiness build up in her. This was like the best birthday party ever and it wasn't even her birthday.
