A soft cry could be heard from the childs bedroom, throwing the blankets off herself Kida rolled over and lightly kissed Icarus on the cheek, the room was bathed with a faint light which meant i was probably 5 or 6 in the morning. Kida pulled herself out of bed and padded lightly towards her daughters room, the house was warm enough she was wearing her singlet and shorts. Opening the door Kida smiled at her Daughter who was standing in her cot, seeing her mother the daughter called her name 'Mama' the child said her voice laced with sadness, Kida made her way over to Scarlet and kissed her lightly on the forehead before picking her up and clutching her close and making her way down stairs to the foyer.

Pacing around the house her brunette hair glimmering lightly in the mornings sun she clutched her child to her chest slowly rocking her, the sun had just started to rise fifteen minutes ago and Scarlet had woken up with a bad dream, she was one in a few days and all the party plans were ready, Small gathering which would have Her God Mother Eden and her almost sister Aine, Icarus, Grandfather Leo and her Uncles Perseus and Ashton. Kida was content with her little life, she was hushing her child when Scarlet grumbled, rolling her eyes Kida knew that she had gotten over the bad dream and she walked into the Kitchen and lowered Scarlet to the ground, Scarlet eagerly stood against the cupboard while Kida grabbed out a container of sliced apple and quickly scooped Scarlet up again she squealed lightly as Kida made her way to the Lounge across the house, she could hear Snoring echoing down from upstairs where her Older Half-Brother Ashton was asleep she rolled her eyes and walked through the arch into the lounge, sitting down on the fluffy couch.

Opening the container containing the apples she could hear Scarlet starting to try mumble what she was about to eat 'Apple' Kida said softly 'Apple' Scarlet Repeated. Kida clapped her hands enthusiastically 'Very Good' she said as she handed Scarlet a slice of Apple. Kida rubbed her eyes and stretched slightly another early morning which was going to be followed by another busy day.

Ash Richards awoke from a very disturbed sleep. He and Kida had had a major fight over the fact that he had wanted to fix up her house. He couldnt understand why she was being so stubborn over it, as the house was extremely aged, and they were going to raise a child here. He just wanted what was best for Scarlet, and to have a safe house for her to grow up in. After going through a previous fight over him wanting to move into a new house, he just didnt want to argue anymore. Smiling as he watched Kida sleep soundly, just got up, and pulled some clothes on. Moving through the house, silent as a ghost, through the early hours of the morning, Ash decided he would go out and get some flowers, and bring everyone home breakfast. Pulling his shoes on at the door, he opened it, and smiled to himself as he watched the sun cast its first rays of light over the neighbourhood. Walking onto the front verandah, he twisted on the spot, apparating to Brisbane, Australia. The shops were just starting to open up, and as he walked along the main strip of surfers paradise, he knew exactly what he wanted for breakfast. Heading to his favourite restaurant, turned down a side street, taking a shortcut to get there. He smiled to himself as he emerged from the backstreet and noticed a flower show across the road. Thinking of Kida's favourite flowers, he went to take a step across the road, but didnt notice the car speeding down the street. A sudden shock of pain went up his leg, and all he knew afterwards was a never ending blackness.

Ash opened his eyes, feeling extremely groggy. He looked around, but didnt know where he was. All he knew was that he was in a hospital. He tried to think back to what had happened, but frowned as nothing came to mind. As the fog of the coma slowly started to roll away, Ash slowly became more and more scared. He couldnt remember what had happened. He couldnt remember where he was. He couldnt remember WHO he was. Glancing around frantically, he noticed a nurse come into the room, and he turned his eyes very slowly to her. "Where am i?" he asked, his voice slightly slurred. 'You're in Brisbane hospital. You were in a very bad accident, and have just come out of a coma' the nurse replied, calling for a doctor. Shock ran through Ash, and as he looked down at himself, his eyes widened in shock at his broken and scarred body. Who was he?

Ash Richards, after a year of living in Brisbane, Australia, walked out of New Zealand airport. He had been working as a bartender for the past year, and had joined a local hardcore band. After finding his wallet, all that time ago, and finding out who he was, he had gone through life, hoping that his memory would return. But it never had, and all he had were glimpses of what had happened before the accident. A week ago, he had had another flashback, and for some reason, he had remembered an address in New Zealand. After making the proper preparations, he had jumped on a plane, and here he was, in a taxi heading for the house.

As the taxi pulled up out front, Ash's eyes were glued to the house that stood before him. He knew this house... But why? Handing the taxi driver his money, Ash stood out of the car, and frowned. He felt funny. Like an awful sense of dejavu was coming over him. He shrugged it off, and opened the gate to the yard. Walking up the front steps, he felt as though he had butterflies in his chest. He wasnt sure how to feel. He lightly tapped on the door, knowing that it was really early. But he had to know. He had to know why he remembered this house, and why it made him feel like he was home...

Knocking on the front door made Kida suspicious, it was rather Early so she wasn’t expecting any visitors and everyone knew she had a child and wouldn’t come but this early in case they were sleeping. Kida moved the container of apple onto the table and picked up Scarlet to put her on the floor one some soft mats she had set up for Scarlet to on, she had some toys on the floor but Kida knew Scarlet would go straight to the Quaffle Toy. Handing Scarlet another apple slice Kida stood up and ran her hand through her hair to smooth it out, she picked up her wand off the table and tucked it into the hem of her pants, just in case.

Making her way out of the Lounge she walked into the foyer and half wished she was wearing socks so she could slide towards the door on the polished wood floors. Opening the door she raised an eyebrow at the site who was on the other side. 'Uhmm.' she said slightly confused, she knew who was standing on the other side of the door but she never thought that he would be back standing in front of her 'Ash, What are you doing here?' she asked confused, she kept her tone of voice down, she last remembered their fight, he had insisted on fixing up the house, but she knew it was completely safe, her God Father had lived in this house and he would never live in something unsafe but Ash’s constant over attention to everything to make everything over perfect was driving her up the wall and his nit picking had caused to them arguing about everything, the last thing she could remember was him leaving early one morning silent as ever and never returning, she was so furious and she couldn’t contact him she just gave up and moved on, she wasn’t going to spend her life looking for someone who had left her.
Kida waited for an Answer, she half thought that he was a figment of her imagination brought on by lack of sleep.

Ash didnt quite know what to expect from the house. He, in a faint glimmer of hope, wondered if this was his parents house. He didnt believe so, as he had a think english accent, which made him believe he was from England, but he could be quite sure. He had been searching for his family for the past year, but hadnt found any luck. He had, however, found a couple who he had had a brief hope was his family, but after researching more into it, he had decided that a high ranking english miniter couldnt be his father. Not with his tattoos and piercings. When a very attractive, and extremely familiar girl opened the door, he frowned heavily. The fact that she said his name, and knew who he was, made him frown even more. He had a feeling he knew, and was close to this girl. Or, at least, he had been. "Im sorry, i dont quite know who you are... I dont know what led me to this house. Ive been having these flashbacks, trying to remember who i was." he said, as he studied the inside of the house. Dejavu all over again. "Oh, how rude of me. Im Ash Richards." he said, holding out his hand for her to shake, and placing an extremely charming look on his face. "And you are?" he asked, frowning again. He knew her name. He just couldnt remember it.

[Short, sorry =(]

Kida blinked a few times when he said he didn't know who he was, that wasn't something that she had expected, if he ever returned she would have expecting him groveling at her doorstep. Kida opened her mouth lightly and let out an awkward 'Ahh..' when he said he had flashbacks that lead him here, she wasn't sure if he was laying on an extremely thick story for her to believe to jimmy back into her life or not but by the bewildered expression on his face he was serious, he had no clue who she was.
He introduced himself and Kida wanted to tell him she knew who he was but she didn't bother. Holding out her hand Kida Shook his 'Kida, Kida Frost' she said still looking at him slightly confused and concerned.

Kida folded her arms in front of her chest, she felt kind of awkward standing in the doorway in her short pyjama pants and a singlet. 'Ash, let me just clarify something so i know i'm not going crazy, You really have No idea who I am or who i was to you?' she said kind of uncertain on what effect his presence would have on Scarlets life now, Kida had just assumed that he would never come back that he wouldn't dare face her wrath.. or suspected Wrath since she wasn't quite sure what to do in this situation.
Realising that she was leaving him standing on the porch confused as she was she smiled and pushed the door open and stepped back 'Come and have some Tea Ash, we need to sort a few things out' she said as she gestured to the Kitchen on the other side of the Foyer opposite from Scarlet, he wouldn't notice her because the door was slightly closed and she hoped that she didn't make much noise, she didn't want to explain the whole situation yet.

Kida shut the door behind him and pushed back the Kitchen door to let him in, she wondered if Icarus was going to come down, that would make it an even more interesting event.

Ash chuckled softly, and ran a hand through his curly hair as he watched the womans confused look. He didnt quite know what was going on, but he was now quite confident that he knew this girl. Or, he had, at least. He was glad at the revelation though. It meant he would finally get the answers he had been searching for for all this time. "Nice to meet you Kida. Your name is so familiar, but i just cant place it." he said honestly, pulling his hand back and wondering why he had a tingling feeling making its way up his arm. He couldnt help but laugh softly when she made the comment of her going crazy. "No, your not going crazy. I woke up in a hospital in brisbane about eighteen months ago. I had no recollection of what had happened, but id been told that i had been hit by car while heading to a flower shop. Its the last feeling i have. Just a strong feeling to buy flowers. I dont know, i couldnt tell you why." he explained, smiling at the thought. It was so random. "I couldnt remember my name, but i had a wallet with me that said my name was Ash Richards. I have no family that i know of, couldnt remember my job, where i lived... Anything." He continued, fixing his jacket up. "I went into rehab, and when i came out, scored a job bartending at a nightclub, and ive been living in Brisbane ever since." he finished, smiling to himself. He was glad he could at least make the best of himself in a situation like that.

He inclined his head when she invited him in. It was rather cold outside in the morning air. Walking into the foyer, he had an amazing sense of dejavu. "I know this house... I dont know why, but it feels... Like home." he said, shaking his head. "But that cant be right. I was in Australia." he said, reaching the kitchen. He turned to the girl. "Kida, who am i? I have this strong sense that i know you, and that this house means something to me..." he asked. He needed answers.

Kida looked at the man when he couldn't recognize her, she shook her head, its not like she was anyone important or anything she just thought he might recognize who she was. Ash explained what happened and she looked down but ignored her gut telling her that he would have been buying flowers for her, he was probably in Brisbane to see another woman, he couldn't have possible been trying to make it up to her, Kida had shut down any thoughts or feelings for Ash a Long time ago and she wasn't going to change them now. 'Come in and take a seat first Ash, I know quite a bit about you.' she said as she touched his arm and smiled and pushed him into the house lightly giving him a little bit of direction, she wanted to help him but she felt rather uncomfortable.

Shaking her head when Ash said this house felt like home 'Not Quite Ash' They had been planning on moving in together but still lived in separate houses, everything was so new and fresh it wasn't up to him moving in yet it was more about getting ready for the baby. He said he lived in Australia but she shook her head again. 'You do know me Ash, You know me Rather well, but first just take a seat' she said, feeling flushed about the situation Kida went to the fridge and pushed aside some boxes of Carrots and Apples and pulled out a bottle of water and got two glasses out of the over head cupboard bringing them over to the table she sat them down and filled them up and quickly downed one and re-filled her glass.

Searching through her mind she wasn't sure what to do, she wanted to help him but she wasn't ready for this and she didn't think he was certainly ready, she didn't let herself go after having Scarlet, she had toned her body back into shape and no one would be able to tell she was a Mother unless she had Scarlet on her hip. Kida pursed her lips 'Ask me a Question Ash... I'll try to help'

Ash followed Kida's suggestion and took a seat, taking a small sip of his water as he studied her. His heart was starting to race. He knew the answers he was after were finally about to be told, and he wasnt sure how he felt about knowing who he once was. As he sat and studied her, he could feel the tension in Kida. To saw she was feeling awkward would have been a major understatement. "How is it i know you Kida?" he asked curiously, cutting her off before she could continue. When she asked him to ask questions, he was at a loss for what to ask. He thought about what it was he wanted to know. Who was his family? What did he do for a job? Did he have a girlfirend, or had he had one? Where did he live? He decided to go with the basics, and repeat his last question. "How do we know each other, and what were we?" he asked, wondering what the answer would be. He knew there had been something here, but he had to make sure.

Kida nervously played with her nails, she didn't have any clue how to explain the situation to Ash, what was she going to say 'You're the Father to my Child' that would completely freak him out. Kida changed position and tapped the table nervously with her thumbs before she had an idea 'Can i Show you something Ash?' she asked, she didn't wait for an Answer because she walked straight out of the room and into the hall way which was lined with bookshelves full of books, she pulled down one of her own which was a rather large leather bound photo album and brought it back into the Kitchen. Kida stood opposite Ash at the kitchen Bar and put the Photo Album on the table. 'You haven't known me for long but we got close.. fast' she said trying to dance around the words that she had to play with.

Slowly Pushing the album to Ash she leaned on the bar 'When we first met i was in London to go visit my Father and you had stumbled out of a Concert and ran into me, You were hitting on me and fled your fans Dragging me along with you, we ended up going to the waters edge. That's when we discovered each others Secrets.' Kida begun as she tried to recall on the events of the first night which were a bit faint to her since she had jammed her mind with so many different things Kida opened the book to a page with a Picture of herself and him at a concert his arm around her smiling, Kida looking stunning and Ash like he had just been under some Ray lamps all day'We went out a few times to Concerts and stuff' she said with a smile.

Kida knew the next page contained her lying in a Hospital bed with a small child in her arms, her best Friend Eden was beside her grinning from ear to ear leaning over her shoulder with another child on the bed with a guppy smile, it was one of her favorite photos and there was a copy on the wall, Two best friends both with Daughters who would become best friends no doubt but she waited for him to soak up the first bit of information first. Kida leaned back off the bench and filled up her glass again taking another drink of water.

Ash's eyes lit up in excitment when she brought out what he thought was a photo album. 'Finally, something that might help me trigger some of my memories enough to give me my old life back!' he thought to himself. He opened the book, feelings his heatbeat up its pace considerably. Looking at the pictures, he couldnt help but smile. Pictures of Kida and himself at different music shows, on the beach in what looked like Australia, and in various other places. Memories slowly started to flow back onto his mind. Some just random pictures that had returned, and some, opened up a but of what Ash had been after. "I was a musician... I played guitar, and toured with my band. Thats how i met you. And you and i... We dated?" he said, looking up at her. The memories were still hazy, but he could at least decifer that. "We were together, quite intimately." he added, as a quite heated moment shared by Ash and Kida in a bedroom came back to him. His cheeks burned a bright red at the thought.

Ash studied the pictures a bit more, and smiled to himself. He knew that whatever they had was long gone by now, but it was a warming thought to know he had been someone. That he had loved someone. He turned the page on the album, and looked at all the photo's of Kida with what looked like a baby girl. He smiled to himself again. "Your daughter?" he asked, looking up at her. He could see many of Kida's features in her. But something about the child made Ash frown again. The child, if he was not mistaken, had a few of his own features in her. After spending the last year looking into a mirror, wondering who he was, he could see a few resembling things about him on the girl. "She's not...?" he asked, looking up at Kida. His heart was racing once again.

Kida nodded, she didn’t want to patronize Ash when he realised who he was she wanted to try be supportive, they could get to fists later 'Dated for a Bit Yeah, You met me by leaving a place where you were performing and bumping into me' she said with a small laugh 'You became friends with my Half-Brother who was also in a band aswell so we often went to your concerts and his' she said brushing her hand through her long hair. Ash mentioned being together Intimately and she looked down at her hands 'We were Wild' she said softly, she wasn’t going to lie to him that was what happened but she for some reason felt shy about the situation, not back then, she was completely wild for a year being lost trying to find herself after her shock of being out of Highschool and wanting to get back into the Magical world.

Kida smiled when she saw the Picture of Scarlet in her arms, Ash asked if it was her daughter and she nodded 'Born June 17th 6 pounds flat at 2:29 in the morning' she said, before taking another drink of water, she knew he would make the connection soon and it was making her more nervous than it should have. Kida looked at Ash when he made the link she gave him a small smile and continued to finish her drink 'Her names Scarlet' she said as she turned around and walked to the kitchen and grabbed a jar off the shelf, she used the Jar as Decoration but it had memory’s in it, she pushed the Key aside and pulled out a ring which was amongst other things. Walking back to Ash she put the ring on top of the Photo 'When I told you, You freaked out, and went a bit crazy for a bit but when I went to see you during one of your performances you jumped off the stage and came to me but I decided it was a bad idea and left, I had only developed a small bump by then and you followed me out into the street and proposed' Kida said as she leaned on the bench and pursed her lips slightly.

Kida could hear a soft thumping in the room across the foyer and Knew that Scarlet was starting to wake up more and try walk around but she wasn’t sure if she wanted Ash to see her just yet. Kida brushed her hands through her hair again and smiled at Ash slightly 'To Truth is, We Dated for a bit but then I got Pregnant and we got engaged, You were trying so hard to be clean and the perfect Father you were being too over perfect and it was driving me crazy, You kept on trying to fix my GodFathers house because it was unsafe when I knew everything was completely fine as he would never put anyone in danger by living here, we had a fight and I went to bed and you joined me later but I wanted nothing to do with you, I remember you getting out of bed the next morning but I didn’t pay much attention to it I just kept on sleeping, then you never came back there was no sight of you anywhere so I assumed you had had enough and run off' she said explaining her side of the story to him, she hoped he didn’t go into a panic attack from hearing the news

Ash listened to all Kida had to say. Going to music concerts and stuff sounded fun, but just wasnt him anymore. He was quiet now, preferring a nice dinner date than a concert. He had seemingly changed alot from his old lifestyle. "I would have never known. I suppose, it explains all my tattoo's and stuff, but yeah. Besides my acoustic, i dont play much else anymore." he explained with a shrug. He didnt miss it, not at all. He blushed again at the mention of them being 'wild'. He decided to leave it at that, instead of risking further awkwardness by commenting on it. He was, extremely interested to hear about Scarlet. When his suspicious were confirmed about Scarlet being his daughter, he had to take a moment to exhale and take in the news calmly. "I have... A daughter..." he said to himself, looking at the floor. It was alot to take it. "And for the past year, i couldnt even remember." he said, a tear rolling down his face. He wiped it away. He listened to Kida's story about how they had fought, and how he had left, and yet another memory came back to him. "I had left early. The sun was barely up. I..." he stopped. He couldnt figure out what he had done. "I did something, and suddenly i was in brisbane. I was heading for a place i knew that did the most bacon and egg roll. I wanted to get you breakfast. I remembered a flower shop just a bit down the street from it, and as i went to cross the street to go to it, i..." he stopped, and remembered flashing lights, a loud horn, and sirens. He was trying to clear his head, but the memories were too much to take in all at once.

'Her Name is Scarlet Rose, She’s a Year and a Half now' she said trying to buffer some more memories from him, they had briefly decided on Scarlet as a good first name for the child before he disappeared and Kida had decided that Rose would be a nice middle name by herself. Ash explained about his Tattoos and she snickered slightly 'I can’t believe you don’t know about Scarlet honestly' she said as walked around the bench next to him, she gestured for him to stand and looked at him for a moment and pointed to a Tattoo on him, Kida giggled 'You got her Name Tattooed on you to make sure that I called her Scarlet and didn’t change my mind after the birth because you liked it' she said shaking her head slightly.

Kida listened to his story about him doing something and ending up in Brisbane, She raised an eyebrow at him 'You mean you Apparated' she said adding in the word he was missing, she assumed he had forgotten the word or something. Kida watched him recall the memory of when he left and she waited, He seemed to be trying to make up for the fight when he disappeared she shook her head and walked around the bench again, she didn’t want to have regret for her decision to move on, she was extremely happy with Icarus and she had no regrets about Scarlet. Kida pushed the glass of water towards him and waited for him to come back to reality with his memories. Kida flipped the Photo book again and showed him a Photo of Scarlet sitting in the Garden in a patch of Daises her Brown almost black hair just above her shoulders and her Hazel eyes shining brightly to the Camera as she held up her hand with a tiny lady bird on it.

Kida heard a thud in the other room and looked at Ash 'Stay here' she said as she rushed out of the room leaving the door open and across the foyer into the Lounge Room, Scarlet had managed to pull some books off the bookshelf. Kida tsked at her daughter and picked her up but the door swung shut before much more could be seen. Kida kissed her on the forehead and bounced her slightly on her hip as she picked up the Book and put it back on the Shelf. Kida carried Scarlet back to the matts and handed her the quaffle plush toy which was her favourite and smiled before standing up to head back to Ash.
